Well, we kinda have to. Afterall, the game doesn't give really good descriptions on how say Bullet Punch would hit a flying or levitating Pokemon, now does it? The anime and manga though? They do a really good job.

Yep, and Brutus the Makuhita, or should I say Brutus the Hariyama, almost was, but thanks to his Guts ability, he survived. What do you think of how Bullet Punch is used?

Sort of. Like the "Dead" status of Spinarak, the Pokemon will do something. It could "Run away frantically," "Dig into the ground," etc.

You must note if the RP'er had the chance to try again.

But after the second time, if they fail, the pokemon is now permanetly uncatchable.

After an RP'er has success/failure, they can't catch another Pokemon on that route. That's why Fisherman Tully's quest is a sorta tough choice. You can get the prize and pass up catching a Magikarp, Tentacool, or Corsola, or try your luck.

Level is actually picked randomly, but make sure it's close to the other levels in a team party. (Like 3 is close to 5, in King's case).

That's pretty much on mark, but also take in account type of ball. If Roserade threw, say a great ball, he would've have more of a chance. Not to say he'd definately catch it, but it would give him more chance.

True, common Pokemon are sorta free-grabs. But rarely, catching will fail. But only rarely.
