I thought of a few Fakemon that would be totally cool if they were real but I don't know if they are just strong or way too OP, so help.
My Fakemon is a Water/Fairy type. It has Water Absorb/Prankster abilities. Its stats are :
HP - 145
Att - 40
Def - 60
Sp.Att - 120
Sp.Def - 85
Speed - 120...
What are some basic traits that Pokemon would have based on their strongest stats?
For example, Pokemon with high Speed would be really fast moving and agile. Think of animals with good speed : cheetah, falcon, horse etc
Pokemon with high Attack would be really dangerous cause they would be...
Okay, at first glance, Attack seems like the physical strength of a Pokemon. Well, Machamp has muscles and so does Hariyama. Swampert does seem to have a robust and strong body so he has good attack too. But how does Scyther or Kingler or Weavile, among many other Pokemon, have a huge attack...
Well Bugs are just bugs so it's logical that they have low HP. Bugs can't much damage. I mean, their body is fragile and easily squished.
Anyway, I think HP is based on the vague idea of life force. You can clearly see how Ghosts have low HP. That's because they are not actually alive. Ghosts...
So Pokemon don't die in a battle. They just 'faint'. Does this mean that they actually faint(and if so how) or just take enough damage that they lose the will to keep fighting?
If you watch the anime you can clearly see them going X_X which indicates that they are knocked out.
In the games...
Well yeah but I am not looking at it from a technical way. Just see it from a more realistic way. Like, why do they biologically have low HP. Maybe it's because Ghost types are like 'dead' so they don't have any 'life'? This kind of way.
Oh and Jellicent rocks. Best type ever, great HP and Sp...
I mean, with 2-3 exceptions, all Steel and Ghost types have low HP. They may be big and hefty like Dusknoir or Aggron or Steelix but they have low Hit Points. What were they thinking when they were making it? Couldn't they give them normal HP? Why so low. On average, Steel types have about 70 HP...
I mean, Pokemon with high HP should have equally high defenses. It just doesn't make sense to me. How can a Pokemon have high HP and low Defense or vice versa?
HP is Hit Points. It's how many hits you can take before you collapse and can't stand up.
So high HP means you can take many hits...
TheLadyHum,
The bird CliveKooper suggested is called Shoebill. It's habitat is mainly Sudan. You can find lots of info in Wikipedia. It could be a Flying/Water or Flying/Normal or Flying/Ground(as they love muddy swamps).
The Bilby is a marsupial and it lives in Australia. Very cute animal :3...
Well WinterKirby, I know HP demonstrates the amount of damage and injury a Pokemon can endure. Not how many hits, because defense is important as well. Blissey has low defense but huge HP so she will only endure 2 hits but practically she will endure a ton of injuries and damage. Shuckle, having...
I mean, I don't get it. HP is how much damage a Pokemon can take before fainting. But what determines this? I mean, Wailord is the largest but still Blissey and Wobbuffet have higher HP. So, HP isn't exactly body mass. There are many other examples like Wigglytuff having more HP than Hippowdon...
So, everything is nice except this thing. I mean, I know it's just a game and it isn't realistic but HP has to resemble something. I mean there has to be some basis around it. HP is Hit Points. I get it. It's how many hits the Pokemon can take. But what determines this?
When I look for Giga...
Why would we take for granted that the first hit was critical hit? It's very illogical to do so. You can't decide when it's going to be a crit or not. If we follow your logic, we may as well suppose that Tauros misses all of his attacks till Blissey easily Charms him to -6 and it's over for him...
I said that I'd rather dismiss both as both are highly unlikely. Only thing I said was that breeding is more possible. I know it's not natural but it still is dependent only on the Pokemon instead of other factors that Pokemon can't control. Also, for all you know, Blissey may be lvl 100 too...
