So, you read my special trick to defeat Elesa at the Nimbasa Gym and now you want to try it yourself.
Follow these steps and you can beat Elesa the same way I did!
1. Catch a Blitzle on Route 3, preferably a female one (I'll tell you why later)
2. Make sure your Blitzle knows the following moves: Shock Wave, Spark, Flame Charge and Attract (Blitzle learns Flame Charge by level-up and the TM for Attract is obtained in Castelia City)
3. Ability doesn't matter as both Lightningrod and Motor Drive make Blitzle immune to Electric attacks (it doesn't matter which ability, although mine has Motor Drive)
4. Blitzle evolves into Zebstrika at Level 27, to do this quickly, battle lots and lots of Audino (look for shaking grass!)
5. Make sure your Zebstrika is at least Level 30-33 before you take on Elesa.
6. Now, here's why I prefer to use a female Zebstrika: Elesa has two male Pokemon (Emolga and Zebstrika) and one female Pokemon (her other Emolga) and using Attract can give you a slight advantage.
7. Use Shock Wave against both Emolga, especially if they use Double Team repeatedly.
8. When battling Elesa's Zebstrika, use Attract to disable its chances of attacking, then keep spamming Flame Charge on it.
9. And you'll finally win the Bolt Badge, Hikari10 Style!
Note: I discovered this strategy by myself when I battled Elesa in Pokemon Black on October 2nd, 2011. It was unexpected and if any user at PC has trouble against Elesa in the future, VM me and I can share this strategy with any user having trouble against the Nimbasa Gym.
