  • once I can fiqure out how to import correctly.
I'm already working with Team Fail on the Mapping part, I've barely get to talk with mikelan98 because he hasn't been online fore sometime now. I want to work with someone who is at my speed.

When I need help on something then I'll tell you....

I need to figure out importing. Then I can get going from there.
Also... if you're using Autodesk 3ds Max 8, you should download service pack 3 for it. 'Cause the normal one without the service pack can crash very easily and is rather buggy.
Normally torrents would provide Autodesk 3ds Max 8 with keygens, but you don't have to download 3ds Max, you can download Maya 6.0 with a keygen instead.

Unfortunately I can't provide the links to the keygens, 'cause it's against the forum rules for anyone to link to ROMs, keygens or cracks for software.

On PC, in the Tutorials section. It's one of the newest threads. Hard to miss.

The SDK plugins were only developed for those programs. You can import OBJ files to it though, so if you can edit them in another program, you can import the OBJ files later on.

I have a tutorial for most of this process (Except for importing) in the Tutorials section. It was just approved a few hours ago.

The map, trees, water, rocks, and all of that is the geometry of the map, and can be edited in Google Sketchup or another similar 3D model editor. However, you NEED Alias Maya 5, 6, 6.5 or 7, or Autodesk 3DS Max, as well as a few other Nintendo NITRO SDK tools to convert it to a format the DS can read.

You add the polygons that represent rocks, trees, grass, ledges, etc etc, that get textured later on.
    I
Is it Google Sketchup? You just add objects and whatnot, like trees or grass. Houses are added later.
    can't.

Until he gets finished with his tool, you're going to have to edit it by hand, which I don't recommend at all.
    I
You export them using SDSME, then convert them to OBJ files. There's a version of MKDS Track Editor that does that, but I'm not sure if it's public or not. From there, you just edit it in a 3D model editor of your choice.
    I
I'm still figuring it out myself. I've managed to import a map successfully, but it's textureless. I'm not sure how to fix it yet.
Yes but i want the tool to get more features. And when are you gonna realese you´re new tool. You talked about earlier?? ;) Btw you own
