Thanks! Yeah, I'm really proud of it (I'm really flaunting it). I'm still finding perks that weren't on the actual list of benefits for donating. I only donated 10 bucks, but now, seeing how cool it is, I'll be at tier five by the end of the business week. ;]
Seriously though, I didn't donate for the perks. I am a committed member of the PC, you know? But I exclusively post in the CBC and I've only been here for little over a month. So I don't have much to reinforce how committed I really am. I needed something that can represent this, even though I only have like... 80 posts. So donating was the perfect thing for me!
And thanks for all the really nice compliments.. it's.. very sweet of you. I try so hard to, well, for lack of better term,impress everyone. I don't have much that separates me from any other new member. So doing research and development, only posting thoughtful and relevant things, using correct grammar and deliberate diction, having an appropriate and personal tone, and just making sure all of my facts are straight is very, very important to me. And now, I get the recognition of being a distinguished member because of my donation *while* I work at gaining a reputation based on myself. So, I'm carving out my little niche. Slowly but surely.
It's really thanks to members like you who make the CBC so inviting and professional. That's the only reason I hold myself to these high standards. I want that same professionalism and innate knowledge that you and the other regulars have. That's what attracted me to the CBC in the first place. You guys have all the competitive battling experience with half the elitism of Smogon.
So really, it's you that deserves the congratulations and the majesty. Not me.
