The ending is the same, the only difference is the length of your sentence with the least being 1 year

Most likely an emulator issue, some other guy had the same issue on VisualBoyAdvance and had to play on a different version of it to work

Yeah saving is possible, you most likely have Flash 64K save type and can't progress to the postgame For future games change the save type to Flash 128K to not have the same issue

There are several other Rocket hacks and I wouldn't have my hopes high for a sequel of this game

There isn't really any way to fix sprite glitches/bugs other than going back and forth the menu or something. It doesn't really mess with your game or crash it as far as we know so it's all good

Not sure if you can, maybe if you imported a .sav file in VBA from the other emulator it could possibly work. If not most likely you'll need to start over
