I do play some other RPGs - mainly Bravely and Zelda - but I expect long cut scenes in those whereas Pokemon has never had long cut scenes (as far as I remember) so I think it was just the shock of such a long cut scene. I'm not a big gamer though and tend to only play for 15 - 30 mins at one...

That's good to know, thank you! I've just switched the game back on, ready to get on with some post-game fun and now stick in yet another cut scene with Hau... It's nice having some cut scenes throughout to get the story but this is starting to feel like over kill.

I don't do the comps (not yet anyway) for the video games. I've played in TCG comps for years and I'm just getting back into the video games. I have most of the Mega Stones, but not these 4.

Thanks for sharing this! It seems strange to have it so close to the Ultra release - maybe to get people who bought s/m a year ago some excitement about the new, upcoming games?

It's 99% percent cut scenes (literally have not had a break to save since before the battle with Kukui). I lost Tatu Koko (please say I get another chance!) and I'm now about 20 mins into cut scenes of stupid dancing and fireworks. I assume credits are going to be long too... Urgh, gamefreak...

Escavalier all the way. I used Escavalier several times in White. Also, I have a couple in my Team Rocket TCG deck :) I've used Accelgor in White, grinding him up for a bit but just never got that bond. Never found Accelgor very effective in battles apart from getting the first move in.

Sounds like the first island may be quite helpful for me then to get a hang of new things. I've heard that you can access your EV stats now so that will be interesting to see! Looks like online is the way to go. I'll hopefully get used to it quickly, I'll use Sun for practice with online stuff...
