I got my old computer for Linux now :P

I backup my music, so that isn't a problem.

I just removed Linux from my comp and reinstalled windows... So I'm kinda re-downloading everything I need, and so many drivers, each one of them is like 100mb.
And I also need a new OS for the netbook, thinking about Google Chrome OS.

That is very different from the other MMOs that I usually play.

Does seem interesting. Downloading so many things atm, meh.

Let me see if I find it interesting... Or if I don't have anything to download tonight.

I'm reading about it, trying to find the tutorial kinda things, read about the classes and stuff.

Yes I meant that. Not a really nice community. Won't call them noobs, but yes they are thick. The first impression that I got when I saw that section was that most people didn't really know what ROM hacking was about or what they were actually doing. All they knew was which tool to use to do what.
I don't check those forums often though, I could be wrong.

The GD section here seemed worse. Very few projects actually tried to do something new.

Mostly, I spent some time trying to understand 3D stuff. I learned some OpenGL, tried DirectX and XNA. The first game I tried to write was an FPS, you can imagine the failure of writing an FPS in a custom made engine by a single indie-dev. Then I started a 2D RPG. That went well, I worked on it for sometime. Eventually I stopped that.
After that, I've just created small demos while learning new things.

So you were into ROM hacking at one time?

I've tried to look through PCs ROM hacking and Game Development sections. I don't know, I didn't find the people there really... knowledgeable. o.o

I have myself been into game development. Not exactly game-dev, I learned how to program using 3D libraries.
Most of my projects were like ambitious and I quit them because of lack of motivation again :P

Might give it a try sometime. I've played Flyff, Rappelz, PWI, RoM, DoMO... Gave up on all of them eventually. Some of them, I didn't even bother to play long enough.

It's usually too hard to level in MMOs after a certain point.

In the beginning it's so easy and soon even the smallest achievements take a long time.
Most of the MMOs I have played, I have had to play then quit and keep repeating that to get to a decent level :P
Though, this could also be because most of them were based around cash shop.

So which ones do you play, how are they? I'm going to shift to windows soon, might give a new one a try.
