Not everyone has the privilege to be able to get a good or "free" ride to college. In this day and age, yes, a college education is definitely a good thing to strive for, but who ever said you had to go to school full-time for four consecutive years to be successful? College is hella expensive, believe me I know. You can take other routes to further your education. Even taking periodic online courses, or if you get the chance, go to a community college part-time for a semester at a time.
I know all of that sounds way easier said than done, because money is hard to come by. Especially in this craptacular economy. But Sammi, don't think for even a second that just because you're unable to go to college right now like a lot of people your age that you're not worthwhile. I oughta smack you upside the head for thinking such a thing. >/
You may feel like you're in a rut right now. I was there recently. I felt I was destined to bomb all my classes and they'd kick me out of this university. The reason that hasn't happened is because I had to kind of kick my own butt, so-to-speak. XD I had to realise that all I can do is my best, and if I try with everything I've got, I'll eventually get to where I want to be. Maybe it'll take me longer than my peers, maybe I'll have to work harder, but I'll get there if it's what I really want.
Sammi, you're not doomed to anything. You only are if you continue to think that way. I don't know anything about your situation, but perhaps there's a way for you to set up a secondary savings account to put a little money in each month to save up for even -one- class. Then that way, you'll at least be making steps to where you want to be. It might be slow going, but you're freaking 21, you have your whoooooole life ahead of you, and you have plenty of time to get to where you want to be. Just gotta chin up a little! Do it, or I'll "trip" over things and smash into you some more. >D
