my starter pokemon cant evolve, when it trys to and i press Z or any other button it cancels? and if i dont press anything, it doesnt do anything?

Magnemite is good, but I already have an electric type - Flaaffy - and it wouldn't be good to have 2 of them. Thanks anyway :)
Well, if it could evolve into Magnezone, I'd rather pick Magnemite.

Hey, I finally beat Whitney! Guess who helped me - Slowpoke! After using Curse for 6 times, I had such a big defense that only critical hits could do some serious damage to me. Luckily, I had an ability Oblivious, so Attract didn't work.

Is it possible to catch some Steel Pokémon, which can evolve (without trading or so ... , probably 3rd/4th gen) in Johto (I mean the new location near Cianwood - or is it Pal Park)?
