Yellow hack: Evo-Yellow - All Pokemon Follow, Evolve Pikachu, catchable 250+ pokemon, alt. Minimalist 151 vers and Eevee/Meowth Starter Versions

Hmm. I belatedly realized there was a new patch available and started a fresh file. For some reason playing as a girl still gives me the male overworld sprite? Not a big deal, just letting you know. (I can always continue my old file if 3.1 is buggy. I hadn't beaten it yet. ^^)

FireRed hack: Pokémon Fire Red: Generations (Hack Complete)

I used the updated sprite patch, and for some reason I didn't get the tweaked starters. Probably a glitch, but I thought I'd report it. Looking forward to actually playing this hack, though.

    [Pokémon] Drabble Dex

Your skits on the flabébé line were nice additions to the project. Have you done one yet for froslass? (Been meaning to review your other projects, too, but haven't had the time. Life has been eating me lately. :/ )

Colosseum/Gale of Darkness - Highs and Lows

As some of the only Gamecube games for the series, the two Orre games have many unique properties. They range from a mandatory 2-vs-2 battle grid, the introduction of shadow pokemon, purification, and the first "desert punk" setting in canon. Notably we also have the introduction of Cipher, an...

    Repeating classes

I have had to repeat one class in college, but only because I'm required to maintain a 4.0. Worse was that I had an 89.6%, but A&P is admittedly a hard class that requires effort (especially when your professor is a retired doctor. ._.). When I retook it I had a 98 the next time. Frustrating...

    What are you reading?

I actually have the first and third books in the Alvin Maker series because I found them at a used bookstore. Haven't started reading yet because I'm missing the middle. How is that series so far?

how do you open your story

You actually gave an example of the dialogue introductions that should be burned with fire. It's also loaded with exposition and rough details that should be scattered throughout, too. Now, I'm going to quote a children's book for my example, but only because it's one that most of us have...

how do you open your story

Actually, I'm willing to contest the point of opening with dialogue. (Granted, there is a sizable chunk where it falls flat and is irrelevant in what I've read, but done right, it works very well.) "Done right" also means that the opening line of dialogue introduces a concept, character or two...

1st Gen Did you get all the starters in Yellow?

I played Blue first (my starter on that file was a bulbasaur, rather uninventively named "Saur" ... I was six, so.), but I did get all of the starters on Yellow when I had the chance. I believe my final team included this line up: - Pikachu - Venasaur - Charizard - Blastoise - Alakazam -...

    The Plot Bunny Thread

Probably not, but I'd recommend making a general thread in the Lounge. As for an antagonist origin story, that'd depend on what you're doing with it. Are you writing a short story to flesh him out, or a full-out prequel? If neither are going to be directly posted with the main story, I'd say go...

    Favorite Music?

The series has so much fantastic music it's really hard to pin it down to just one song, honestly. I included links to a few of my favorites (in no particular order). RBY: Battle Theme Colosseum: Admin Battle Gale of Darkness: Relic Forest Gale of Darkness: Miror B. Lugia's Song Mewtwo's Theme...

Off-Topic Section: Welcome to the PCNation!

Oh, this looks like it'd be interesting, especially given what all goes into the formation of a nation.

    What are you reading?

I usually read two books/series at once, leisure and research, so here we are: The Emperor's Soul, by Brandon Sanderson Hagakure: Wisdom of the Samurai, by Yamamoto Tsunetomo --- I'd also recommend Hagakure for someone wanting more accurate information on feudal Japan. Bushido is Christianized...

Being friends with someone who hurt another friend

Eh. Honestly, this is why I'm no longer a peacekeeper. It's too emotionally draining, and while I used to try my best to smooth it over and rekindle the original friendship, I've decided that the two having trouble can be adults and work it out themselves. Lend an ear if need be, sure, but I'm...
