Ever had to retake a class you failed or didn't get the prerequisite grade to advance to the next class?

    Sound off.

    Oh, yeah, several times.

Genetics almost made me consider quitting college.

    A college class.
Though that was entirely my fault, since I should have done something about it but didn't. Basically, when I first started there, I...couldn't really handle the schedule that had been given to me. Ended up dropping one of my morning classes (since those were the ones I was having problems with at the time), but for some reason I didn't drop another morning class, a design class that I had to take and wasn't doing so well in. Instead, for some utterly stupid reason, like I don't even know why I thought this was a good idea, I decided the best course of action was to just...stop attending that class.

    ....

Yeah, I ended up retaking it a few semesters later, and actually didn't do too badly in it, but oh god. I was being stupid at the time, pretty sure I even knew I was being stupid, and yeah...don't ever do that, ah ha.

Nope. Never had to repeat a class and hope to never have to.

Closest thing probably is tat I failed a compulsory music class when I was attempting to do a Music minor in uni. Failed it so I decided to switch minors instead.

I never failed the class, but I did drop out of Anatomy and then retook it the following semester.

I just had too much going on - and that was a 5 credit hour lab science. It needed a lot of attention. I had other classes, and a lot of stuff going on in my personal life. The good news is that I used the extra free time to lose a lot of weight and get healthier, aaaaand when I retook the course the following semester I got an A+ and was asked to be a mentor for the course. :D So. Sometimes stuff happens for a reason.

I almost failed my high school advanced algebra with trigonometry class. I didn't fail, but I didn't have a good enough grade to go to the next class, so I took statistics instead of retaking the class and that was probably one of the best decisions I made, haha.

Failed Algebra 1 during freshman year of high school, had to repeat it sophomore year, it ruined my math pathway because I intended to take pre-calculus during senior year.

I also flunked an online course last quarter, in which I was able to repeat it again this quarter, still awaiting results, but I'm hoping to at least a B.

I've never failed a class but I have dropped a college course before due to the fact I most likely would have failed it. I overloaded myself in only my second semester so I dropped the hardest of my classes. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I have had to repeat one class in college, but only because I'm required to maintain a 4.0. Worse was that I had an 89.6%, but A&P is admittedly a hard class that requires effort (especially when your professor is a retired doctor. ._.). When I retook it I had a 98 the next time. Frustrating, but I can now assemble a skeleton in less than three minutes. Go me.

Yup, I had to take Math twice in 11th grade and Psychology 3 times in College ;u; I was just a bad student early on though, later my act cleaned up.
