I think it's going to be good. I really liked the tropical coloring/feel of Hoenn (Kalos felt really devoid of color/bland to me) and I'm hoping this is kind of close to that feeling. I'm definitely on the "multiple islands" train, and I hope they manage to make the region much more substantial...

XY and ORAS were way too easy. The exp share was definitely a contributor but overall they were a step back from Emerald/Platinum (which both had a good difficulty level). Just adding more pokemon on a lot of the trainers/gym leaders would make a huge difference

That's actually really not a bad though. Somewhat similar to how I did the Emerald Dex, which wasn't too awful. It did take a while, though. That is impressive o-o So it'll take a while. I guess if I go slowly, though, it shouldn't be too bad, it'll just take a while.

Hacking in legitimate Pokemon is entirely fine. All you're doing is saving time that would otherwise be spent running in circles waiting for the RNG to bless you, not gaining any sort of advantage.

I'm somewhat interested in going for national dex completion, but getting the Kalos Dex would be a nice start. The only other Dex I've completed was the Hoenn Dex in Emerald, which took ages because I didn't really jsut go out and specifically work on it overly hard until I Was like 30 Pokemon...

Hacking != cheating. You can cheat via hacking, but not all hacking is cheating. As for the delay on Pokemon Bank, it's a fairly major bummer. I want my old starters and I don't want to pay out the ass for them D:
