I do live in a very pretty, quiet part of the country (such a place that I come from a pair of farming families) and it's so uneventful that the Detective Inspector that lives down the road is almost happy enough to leave her doors unlocked xD;

xD; I try to put people off moving to the UK because the cost of living is so high here. For example I hear people from North America complaining about the cost of fuel - it must be two or three times the price over here.

We have to drive on the opposite side of the road when we rent cars in continental Europe and the US. My parents haven't had any mishaps yet xD

In the UK, about 90% of cars are manual so that's what we call normal.

I trust my bus drivers since they're the same ones that used to take me the 22 miles to and from college every day last year. xD But yeah, it's nice to take keep your life in your own hands.

Oh dear lord. Dx I like to think driving a manual transmission car keeps me more alert, but no offence really to people who drive automatics perfectly well (my parents used to have one). Surely she should have realised she was too tired to drive Dx

It's upsetting but car accidents can happen anywhere at any time - it just seems to come down to human stupidity. =/
