    The Pursuit of Happiness

You romanticize oriental culture way too much without actually understanding it. It's a very western-centric view to think Western culture has eroded Asian culture. It's just not true. Oriental culture has been hierarchical and dominated by a social class system for as long as history...

    The Pursuit of Happiness

I am not sure what oriental culture you are talking about. East-Asian culture (Japan, China, HK, Korea, Taiwan) is much more driven towards social status and material wealth than any western country.

    Is personal taste bigotry?

Treat all people with respect. But I choose who I am close with, doesn't matter if my criteria is fair or not. My life, my time, my feelings, my choice. After all, if I am wrong it's my loss right?

    Pets!

Looks great I would have done it with reddish sand give a proper desert look. But definitely jealous, you keep some great animals.

Those are amazing, Brynjolf. What kind of terrarium do you have for the bearded dragon?

do you look down on people who are doing low skill jobs?

In defense of dogtree Firstly, we're not all victims, especially in western society. People in bad jobs will blame their circumstances but you can always do things to improve your life. Working up from the bottom is once of those things, and I respect it immensely. But acting as a victim...

    Wrong, wrong, wrong!

I am often wrong. Took a long time for me to learn to be wrong, and to be cool with being wrong. But I am glad I am not as proud as I was, it is one less burden to carry.

do you look down on people who are doing low skill jobs?

What do you do for a living, Dogtree? I've worked all kinds of jobs to get where I am now. Some of them not very pleasant. But no person should feel they are above an honest days work. So I respect them, it's a much better choice than being unemployed.

    Capitalism

Capitalism is mostly good. It's built around factor endowment and resource efficiency. It's most effective way a society can produce goods. The more goods produced, the more we can consume. There's nothing wrong with profit either. Profit either goes to shareholders who then spend their capital...

    A penny earned

I have to agree with catholic nun. If you can't take the plunge and try things beyond your comfort zone, you could be in the same position in 5 years time... 10 year time or longer. And the longer you wait the harder it is to break the cycle. You'd be surprised what you can achieve once you...

High School Boys Hold "Prom Draft"

What I'd like to know is how they allocate draft pics

    Too Attached To Technology

Not really. I use my computer for entertainment, but I don't care much for social networks. For a lot of people, getting 'likes' is like heroin. They need their hit.

Smart words make me sound more photosynthesis.

Communication is making the listener understand your thoughts accurately. I keep things as simple as I can, and use common words as much as possible.

    Savings

I plan to be generous to my children while they are young, not leave an inheritance. That means I hope to give them/help them with things like education costs or first home deposits. When I die, my kids will be pretty old and I would hope financially secure. An inheritance wouldn't mean as much...
