    2nd Gen Any GSC-specific Challenges?

That might actually be fun! Any suggestions for getting more Gen2 on that list?

2nd Gen What was the first GB pokemon game u ever played?

Green, actually. Emulated of couse, but (somewhat) legal because Green has no official status in North America AFAIK.

    2nd Gen Any GSC-specific Challenges?

Miltank looks good! That puts me very heavily on the "physical" side of the spectrum though, and with two pokemon of exactly the same type, something I generally avoid. Would you recommend Miltank over Statler? And is there anything else that could round out the "special" side of things?

    2nd Gen Any GSC-specific Challenges?

A team of all Unowns is probably a bit TOO hardcore. =P And you're right about Mime. Unfortunately, Girafarig isn't in Crystal according to bulbapedia. Sneasel, then?

    2nd Gen Any GSC-specific Challenges?

Here's a team of non-evolving pokemon, that are all in Crystal: Heracross - Bug/Fighting Stantler - Normal Mr. Mime - Psychic Shuckle - Bug/Rock Skarmory - Steel/Flying Lapras - Water/Ice ...and yes I know that Mime and Lapras are Gen1, but I couldn't really find a good Gen2 alternative to...

"Doping it"? First five pokemon... wouldn't that be a bunch of normal or normal/flying, in most games? Could be problems, against Ghost or Steel types.

    2nd Gen Any GSC-specific Challenges?

How about a "Scramble" challenge? You guys pick a team, preferably all GSC-era pokemon, and preferably one that should be challenging without being unplayable, and I'll play it.

    2nd Gen Any GSC-specific Challenges?

I'm looking to replay a GSC-era game. I've posted a few times already about having been rather underwhelmed by them back in the day, always wishing I had the Gen1 equivalents for everybody. So, I want to replay it and try to get the "proper" experience this time. Thing is, I find these games...

3rd Gen Thoughts on the 3rd generation?

See, I always felt the opposite. I mean, Gen3 introduced Slaking (unique, tactically interesting), Linoone (personal bias), Breloom (awesome type, great unique options in Spore+FocusPunch), Ralts (nice alternative to the overused Abra line), Aggron (hyperfocused on defense, but again that just...

3rd Gen Puretype (NOT Monotype) challenge

That's what I was working from in the past. However, I've just found the regional pokedex listings (search "Jdex" on that site), and that's exactly what I need. Thanks anyway! My other questions still stand, especially #4 - if I were to do this challenge for Gen2 or Gen3, what pokemon would...

3rd Gen Puretype (NOT Monotype) challenge

I know there's more pures out there (Abra, Squirtle, Rattatta, Hitmonchan, Pikachu, Vulpix, Goldeen, Digglett, Wheezing, etc). But for my team I'm using only one pure of each type, where possible. That's why I said "My Team" before the list, it wasn't supposed to be an exhaustive collection of...

    What's The Weirdest Pokemon Evolution?

Honestly, the one that bothers me the way more than any of the others is Goldeen -> Seaking. I mean.... what? What happened here, the character designer took a nap? At least most other pokemon have the decency to look even slightly different from their pre-evolved form. Gah. Remoraid to...

3rd Gen Thoughts on the 3rd generation?

I have to say, Gen3 is my favorite. I love the interface the best, the VS Finder was way better than the telephone, you could run, it looked the prettiest of the first three, and it added a whole bunch of interesting and useful pokemon. I honestly didn't like Gen2 at all. Mostly I just...

    3rd Gen What's The Difference?

No order. There is virtually no overlap in story between the games. You can play the games in any order and they will make sense. It might be "best" to play one of R/B/Y/FireRed/LeafGreen first, followed by one of Gold/Silver/Crystal, followed by one of Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, etc. You don't...
