    MEDIEVAL PLAGUE RATS

When you used to spam me about LoL ages ago, my excuse was that my PC couldn't run that.. Don't have that to use anymore. Guess I really should give it a try.

We don't have this in Canada, but I highly recommend a VPN.. Only really effective way to hide yourself. I've had mine for a few months now and its been great. Downloading in Canada is at best legal and at worst a grey area - DMCA notices don't really happen here - but better safe than sorry...

You can hack it in with a third-party app.

Apparently Windows 8 isn't the only thing that needs updating.

Bon Voyage ✈ The PC Travel Club

Cubana and Aeroflot are probably the cheapest airlines in the world. Obviously there are drawbacks - you're flying on a plane built in the 1960s in the Soviet Union, everything is only in Spanish or Russian, and you can forget amount a TV or anything like that - but hey, it gets you where you...

Bon Voyage ✈ The PC Travel Club

I loved Paris. The history there is incredible, especially coming from a country as, ahem, dull as Canada. :P Bus to Montreal airport - $30 Flight Montreal, Canada - Havana, Cuba = $170 with Cuba de Aviación Lodging at one of the Cuban casas particulares for a week = $20/night? at most...

Bon Voyage ✈ The PC Travel Club

Hey everyone. I'm SS01. I'm from Ottawa, Canada - yay boring city! I've been to loads of places across Canada - I don't exactly love it here but there is some interesting stuff. What stood out the most to me was probably Québec City, the Rocky Mountains, and the East Coast + Newfoundland. Not a...

Anyone know how those touchscreen laptops like Zach's would do on Linux? Do they require a bunch of drivers to work? I'm not big on Windows 8.x but the touchscreen seems nice to have sometimes.

ITT: Stuff the next generation will still do. Back in my day, travelling by air used to be a big deal.

Funny, I'm shopping around for a laptop with pretty much those exact specs. i3, i5 or AMD equivalent, 4GB+, 750GB+ HDD. Idc about graphics though, it isn't for gaming. :P budget is around $600 but I can stretch a little if needed. Don't care about what OS it comes with, going to put Ubuntu on...

    Linux

I like Linux, but I don't use it much as an OS. My favourite distributions are Arch, Fedora, Gentoo, and Debian.. My main OS is Mac OS X (hackintosh) but whenever I screw that up I always go to Linux until I can be bothered to fix it. I hate Windows, only use it for gaming. PM me if you want...

A Chance to Open Up Russia?

The USSR didn't exactly try to raise awareness/support for gays. Homosexuality was illegal until the very end in late 90-91, the time by which Gorbachev's glasnost and perestroika policies had basically led to open revolution.

    Chit-Chat: best coast california

I'm Canadian, but I will also be tuned into the Super Bowl. Football is fun. The Canadiens were even nice enough to play an afternoon game so I can watch both. :P

"What kind of computer is it?" "A white one."

Personally I find TeamViewer a PITA on both ends. I just run a normal VNC server, does the same thing, but basically invisible on the server end, which means less hassle.
