They used to be really big back in the early noughties but they got relegated for matchfixing in 2005 or 2006. They're very big again now. Yeah it'd be good to know a few of the teams participating.

Juventus went unbeaten all season in the league in the Serie A and Napoli are becoming quite well known, they play great counter attacking football.

London has Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottemham so they have three, if you can count Spurs (They beat both Milan teams in the CL 2 seasons ago). The Eredvise is a good league, there's no doubt about that. Really? I never knew they were rivals. Are PSV as big as they were a few years ago?

Really, you didn't know Man City? They're not as big as I thought they were then.. They won the Premiership last season and they have one of the best squads in Europe (in my opinion). Don't worry about it, most people do :). Yeah, I agree with you there. More teams might start playing defensively which is a down side to the knockout stages too.

Aha, I just always respected a club which developed such great players. Can't believe I forgot about Gio, with him playing for the mighty Arsenal back when he was a midfielder (despite me not really being really interested in football at that time, in fact I supported Man Utd. back then, what was I thinking?). Just wondering so forgive me if I'm wrong, but I always though Guidetti played for Manchester City, and next season if you're talking about a Norweigan striker at United it's probably Joshua King, never seen him play but always has bags of potential on Football Manager, hopefully he has a good season for you next year! I'll be sure to keep an eye out for them for sure then, I really wish we sent Miyaichi to you again instead of to Bolton in the Championship.. I'm sure it'd be a great league, as a majority of leagues are very interesting when your first team plays its football there.

Yeah I get where you're coming from, especially with Rooney but I've always had a soft spot for Ronaldo, even if I didn't show it during his time at United I always admired his ability. Personally, I like him more than Messi, as despite the fact that I used to love Barca (especially during the Ronaldinho era) but after the whole Cesc transfer saga, I've lost a lot of respect for them as a team. I want England to do well, despite the fact they'll lose to Italy and I want Portugal to do well now that they've progressed. I wouldn;t mind seeing France knock out Spain either :P

I actually do know Feyenoord. If I'm not mistaken Ruud van Nisteelroy, Dirk Kuyt, Royston Drenthe (kinda flopped at Madrid though) and more came up through the Feyenoord youth ranks. Ryo Miyaichi had a successful loan spell there last season (or do we call it two seasons ago now?), heard he was a real hit with the fans. I think English football is very exciting to be honest, but I can't really compare it to the Dutch league, or any other nations league really. The only competitions I watch are the Premiership, La Liga, the Champions League, the Europa League and the major international tournaments. Yeah that's England for you, completely dire to watch 90% of the time unfortunately. Me neither, I think he's completely overrated, don't get me wrong, he's a good player and all but people rate him as world class which isn't the case..

I really would've liked Holland to progress, seeing RVP eliminated early however might reduce the interest in him, which is good for me as an Arsenal fan. May I ask who you support? Yeah, I really wanted Croatia to beat Spain, ever since I tipped them to do well in the Euro's I've grown bored of the way they play, yes they keep the ball well, but offer very little going forward (especially without Villa leading the line). They remind me alot of Chelsea under Scolari. The performance wasn't the best tonight, but a wins a win for England. They'll be glad to have avoided Spain, but Italy will offer a stern test to the current crop of English internationals.

Greece? One of the countries I really didn't want to do well to be honest.. But my best friends Greek, so I suppose it's not too bad. Just want to see Germany thrash them! Yeah I think Italy were very under rated coming into the competition and played well vs. Spain and Ireland. I was hoping Croatia would go through though, but they were unlucky tonight.
