Does anyone have the source code or a patch to the IV Rankings that are shown on the Summary Screen? I'm already aware of the IV Rankings where the stats have a text letter next to them, but honestly I think that's not the prettiest graphics-wise. I've seen a few hacks where they have the IV...
I've long been a fan of the Pokemon Colosseum and XD games and how they put a special spin on the franchise we all know and love. You can still see echoes of their impact on modern games today with 3D Pokemon and even Shadow Pokemon in Pokemon GO. Unfortunately Gamefreak has abandoned the Orre...
Are you patching it to the fire red (squirrels) rom? And have you made sure it's the 1.0 rom and not the 1.1?
For squirtle yes you can get it relatively early in the game. The answer is in spoilers just in case.
Yes, mega evolution can be done by pressing the start button but first you have to complete an event before you can do mega evolution.
Unfortunately I'm ashamed to say that I've burnt out of the hack by a little bit. What I think I'll do is finish up the pokemon league to end beta 3 and then...
"Special2 0x8004 0x2b"
It performs special 2b and if a button(s) is pressed, the special will turn variable 8004 into a certain number (ex: if they press A it'll turn into 0x1 and if they press B it'll turn into 0x2, etc.)
Compare 0x8004 0x1
Comparing 8004 to see if it did become 0x1
If 0x1 goto...
Still worked on, albeit slowly. Progress has increased recently though so look forward to more updates in the future!
Haha thank you very much! I wanted the Kanto region to stay very close to the originals so I didn't want to change too much. But in beta 3 things will be very different from...
The story seems really interesting, but as people have already said the spriting does need a little bit of work. The mapping does seem a little unnatural too but that comes with constant practice haha.
Personally it seems like the anatomy is a little bit off, I'd recommend looking at actual...
1. Mega evolving is something that happens closer to the end of beta 2 and it works the same way it does in the canon games (get the stone and the mega ring). It's not really explained well which is my bad, but when you equip the pokemon with its mega stone and you have the mega ring, you press...
Whenever you step on a tile and the game activates a script, that's called a script tile. In Mt. Moon, when you step directly in front of the nerd, you're actually stepping on a script tile and not initiating a trainer battle with the exclamation point. So if you're planning on keeping the event...
Haha thanks, I'm looking forward to it too!
Me too, the creator really needs to hurry up with this.
Are you using the most recent beta (2.04)? I remember that happening when I first released beta 2 but I think I fixed it in 2.04.
That's actually a common bug when changing the sprites in...
There's a new area in Mt. Moon which has Sandshrew in there.
Also, I'm aware of those bugs you listed. Fixed the first and last, I think the no "Lv" on Eevee comes from Touched's Mega Evolution thing which I'm way to unknowledged to try and fix haha.
That's a pretty good script so far, I'd just say that in Fire Red the only "safe" flags to use are between 200-2FF and anything like the 999 you used could already be used in the game for something else.
If you want the pokeball to disappear, you'll have to put in "hidesprite 0x[whatever the ID...
