Long time, right?

I was gone, but I'm back now. And, well, I have a few questions xd And you helped me out great last time, I thought, maybe he can help me, if you don't mind.

1. Just out of interest, why are there no more groups?
2. Again, a scripting problem. I'm kinda re-learning it, and the problem is I can't implement a script, not even a simple talking script. I do what I used to do, open the rom in XSE, make a script, compile it, copy the compile code and paste it in A-Map. I noticed there are 2 extra digits, someone said because A-Map now supports 32 bit Roms, and that I should leave the first two numbers 0, this for example: $00800000. But the problem is when I go ingame, and I try to talk to the character, nothing happens, no freezes, no textbox.

I feel really dumb XD I used to be able to script better XD
I had that problem before, but then when I altered the script everything was fine, it just meant the script was not working properly, and it was a random thing, sometimes it happened, sometimes it didn't. As I said, I can't even implement a simple talk script. Do you maybe have an idea ?

Ha ha fair points, however I too am an argumentative type of person:

the reason people think these animals are monsters is because, the media hyped up the story about, a bunch of animals ripping the roof off a school bus and caused havoc.. I never said that the hero's father was the first one to research pokemon, i'm thinking he is one of the first to realize that Pokemon can be tamed.. The reason no one else have really nursed a Pokemon back to health is because they are scared of them.. i mean just look at sharks, they have the capability to basically eat you with one bite.. not many would risk there life to be near them. I mean look at fire Pokemon a Charzard could just kill you easily with one ember. as far as Pokemon moves go, no one really knows how they learn moves, the Pokeball idea is just your assumption, i think it would be a similar way to dogs, and how you teach them tricks, but they know the 'tricks' in order to survive. I understand this would be a hard hack to make. but the storyline is basic, and with a few changes i think it could work.

Right well OK, you have been very thorough, well i never really thought about including moving cars and stuff, i only really thought about an idea for a cut scene. and well i live in England, and in the country, so yeah there is a lot of grass.. which would solve that problem.. I'm guessing he lives in a small village also, which means less cars, planes and travel etc, there has been travel like trains and cable cars in the original Pokemon games anyway.. As far as the moves go, how do Pokemon listen and take commends anyway in the original games? that has not been answered in the real games. He's not a celebrity because everyone is scared of Pokemon and don't take notice of a small village boy who supposedly can domesticate these monsters, you know what media is like. :) all the cities and stuff will be the same scale as the original to be quite honest, but there could be more people around walking more realism. the idea is that Pokemon came from like a different dimension sort of thing.. that is one possibility. The hero can domesticate his Pokemon because he is a nurturing person and nursed it back to help, and over time it trusted him.. Your father is a scientist and spent time with that Pokemon and realizes they are not horrible monsters. on the news/TV your dad notices that people have been researching Pokemon but have also been putting them in small cages. because of this they are getting aggressive which is why people think they are monsters. He doesn't tell the police or anything, because they try to stay away from the creatures and only try to protect people, they do not care about their well being. he sends you out on this adventure to prove to everyone that Pokemon can be treated as friends. As far as where Pokemon would appear, maybe just have tall grass just like the other games. He could have a moped or something along those lines. i was also thinking that the hero would be older than the other games, like 15-17. The government just treat them like dangerous animals and don't realize that you can domesticate them. the hero can't teach everyone, he's just one boy. as far as battles i haven't figured this one out..

I think that's a splendid idea, well this is a rough story:

It starts with you the hero on a school bus, a normal day of school is ahead. 'or so you think?' he looks out the window, and notices a flash in the beautiful blue sky. As the hero looks closer, he notices something that looks like a tear in the sky.. suddenly thousands of birds big and small start swarming out of this 'tear' and land creatures start to stampede far and wide, they start crushing pushing cars aside, and the flying bird creatures start flying through the bus windows. terror hits everyone, screaming is all that's heard. one small animal is injured 'Starter Pokemon', your friends and students surround you in amazement at you a brave person holding a small rabid looking animal lovingly. Time goes on slightly and those creatures are now in the wild. The Pokemon You helped on the bus is the only domesticated Pokemon ever, and your father has studied him. and reached to the conclusion that Pokemon are Generally gentle and docile creatures and asks you to take your friend (the starter Pokemon), to stop people from being cruel to Pokemon because they don't understand them.. Adventure begins.

It is not your usual story but i think it's a good idea.

There is more to this, For example another idea, when on the bus some of your school friends get's taken by Pokemon and you have to search for these friends.. Let me know what you think of the idea?.. :)

No, we don't have any real foundation to work off. I'll accept any kind of story really, as long as it's suitable, creative, and little different. Gyms won't play much of a significant role, but we can alter that as the story proceeds. And the goals of the villains; you can start on that.

Yeah it is, I've worked my way up from member to Dedicated Member and now to Gold Member. It's a good community and even the staff is awesome. :)

I'm hungry and the only thing in the freezer is mean that expired from 2009. :/

I was never impressed here at PC, not degrading them. However the staff changes numerous times and their really strict. The administration does not get to your concerns quick enough etc, I'm on Outline and I'm highly impressed there. I've been registered since Nov. 11, 2010 and currently right now I have 3,086 post. Thanks to their community I learned how to design better and became more passionate about it other than gaming.

Whisbii, well I was. When I got banned last time from non-acidental reasons I left and I thought I'd make my own forum. Generically a pokemon one, however I searched code modifications and ended up on another forum and I've grown to love the place. Now I'm making graphics and prints for sites and such. How have you been?

I didn't want to post this in the thread because it would be off-topic but can you name a single person that acts like this? I've been around these forums for a while and I have yet to see a single "elitist" as you described them.
