I actually played the original MegaMan games via Emulator, although my friend owns the Anniversary Collection. I really don't know, he just did. If I'm right, its 900 points, with ProtoMan Mode as an additional 200 and an extra level at 100 points among other things.
The history behind the X series is that Capcom wanted to make a new, darker MegaMan for the new system. A little known fact is that Zero was designed before MegaMan X and was originally meant to be the main character. However Capcom felt that they needed a character that looked more like the original MegaMan so that the series would be seen as a follow up to the originals. I think thats the reason that the MegaMan Zero series came out.
Did you know that X is the only MegaMan main character not to make a playable cameo in a fighting game?
MegaMan Classic - Marvel vs Capcom, Marvel vs Capcom 2 (also had classic Roll)
MegaMan.exe - Onimusha Blade Warriors
Zero (MMZ) - Onimusha Blade Warriors, SVC Chaos: SNK vs Capcom
MegaMan Volnutt (Legends) - Tatsunoko vs Capcom (also had Classic Roll)
