  • Oh, thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it so far! Let know if there's anything I can work on as well. And take your time - I won't be updating for another half month or so
Congrats on everything. I am doing better. I just put down the deposit on a fancy apartment. I moved to the Kansas City area in 2012 after I graduated. I just started working for a huge company, and I decided to move a little closer to work than where I live now. Let me know if you post the re-write, I would be interested in reading it.
Things have been crazy for you! Congratulations to both you and Anni, and I wish you both all the best with everything.
Yeah, the forumites are behaving themselves. :P Haha don't worry, I was on and off activity here too for sometime until recently.
Up until last summer it had been pretty decent. I got out of college and moved to Kansas City. Got a decent job, in the field I graduated in. But last summer I spend 6 weeks in the hospital once my body decided that an organ just had to go. ( I was diagnosed with an auto-immune decease) The recovery from that hospital stay was long. Before hand I had never been in the hospital before. But I went from never being in the hospital, to having two major surgeries and having an extended stay. Not fun times.

A few months after being out of the hospital, when the medial bills started to pile up. Total hospital charges where over two hundred and forty-two thousand. Insurance took care of most of it, but I am still responsible for a good chunk of it. My discontent with not being paid market norms pushed me to find a different job, which was pretty unsettling. Going from a steady job getting paid a okay, but not enough for what I was doing, to starting at a new company and learning an whole new culture. On the plus side, I now make way more than I was, and I'm learning a lot.

What about you? I hope life has been treating you better than it has me.
Hahahaha, that shows how long you've been away from PC! I was promoted to smod in 2013!

    How has everything been?
Glad to hear you're doing good! Hopefully married life is treating you well, haha. Oh, if you decide to post your revamped version of your fic I'll check it out!

Been busy with real life stuff, but otherwise I'm fine. As you noticed I'm the mod for the fanfic forums now. XD
Txt! :D It's been a while since we last talked, haha. How have you been?
ikr, I freaking love Pokemon Amie. Eevee is so freaking adorable. It makes me want one irl so bad. Since you are a brony, have you checked out the brony music scene? They have all kinds of good electronic artists.
I did too, then I decided I should stay a while and try to catch up with some old friends. Did you get a 6th gen game?
Ah, I popped in a few weeks back on a whim and only found your message today. It looks like it's been a few weeks since you've been on as well, so hopefully you'll somehow get this.

As for where I am, I've kind of gotten into the Pokemon VGC, which is pretty much the video game equivalent of the Pokemon TCG. I hang around Nugget Bridge and to a lesser extent Smogon under the name J-Leo-L (and JLeoL). It would be cool to get back together and talk about stuff. I'm actually around halfway through the OL rewrite, but progress has been uneven, so I don't think I'll release it until I'm fully finished. In fact, what I would really like to do is finish both OL and Elements before releasing any chapters. But that's just me. I'm not sure what you're up to these days. If you ever read this message, I'd love to reconnect.
You may be right; it may be time to shift focus. I'll probably revisit fan fiction every once in a great while...but like I said, I haven't felt that into it lately. It really taught me how to write, and a lot of the ideas that I came up with in Elements and OL have been transfered over to my original projects.

Don't get me wrong; it was fun while it lasted. I'm just getting the feeling that maybe it's time to start moving on.
