  • Aw, oh well.

So I've decided to get serious about this Day/Night System business. Here are my proposed timings for the times of day (in 24-hour format):

    00 - 04 = night (4)
    04 - 10 = morning (6)
    10 - 17 = day (7)
    17 - 21 = evening (4)
    21 - 24 = night (3)

The numbers in parentheses represent the total number of hours each period lasts. I was thinking that the transition directly from day to night might be a little weird so I decided to put in an intermediary stage: evening. I still have to come up with a color scheme for it though. Right now, daytime is normal, night is darker with blue emphasized, and morning is not as dark as night and with red emphasized. I think evening should be a little darker than morning and a mix between blue and red but how much of each? You don't have to answer; I'm just thinking out loud. I would, however, appreciate some feedback on the hours above. Do those seem realistic? I had some trouble with evening because it really depends on what time of year it is. For example, right now there's still some light until 8:30-9:00 but in winter, it's dark at 6:00. :\
No thanks. I've got it set it up so that I can screen my PMs. :D

Though if it's important enough, I can delete one PM to allow for yours.

How come you always go offline right before I respond to one of your VMs? I'm seriously getting ticked off.
Heh, it's actually kind of funny because that song's verse is all about how Bob Marley was waking up to the sound of birds chirping. :D
Oh. My. God. Um, turns out there was a repeat actually. It seems that "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley shows up twice on the list. Funny, I don't even like that song that much.
There are a number of good songs on that list that you should definitely check out. Of course, there also some that aren't really all that good but I was merely "craving" at the time. Most of it's classic rock from the '70s and '80s but, as you've noticed, there's some newer stuff like the Chili Peppers and Green Day.

As for favorite weeks, it's tough because a lot of weeks have less than five songs. However, I'd recommend the weeks of Feburary 8th, December 14th, March 1st, and May 3rd. Those are all good ones, in my opinion of course.

By the way, if you want to check out some of the songs but can't because their title is really generic, just let me know and I can give you the artist's name.
