    I honestly don't know. I do know the Shiny Entei I have has a July date, and I received it (at Lv.100 to boot) in July. It had me questioning legitimacy, too. For all we know, perhaps it doesn't change.

    I oughta check on a couple of transfers from yesterday and see. I'll have more to test with, too...and now that I think of it, my Shiny Nincada is a perfect one to check...

    If it was released in D/P/P as I'm guessing, it's definitely possible (even on Emerald, or FR/LG). (S)He downloaded it on the first day of the event, from what you're telling me. Meanwhile, the Pokémon is still going through the system four years later. That's not bad. I could easily transfer my Keldeo to Gen. VI, then Gen. VII; does that make it illegit.?

    The date could have been wrong on the DS on which it was received, or it wasn't picked up at the Poké Mart for a long time after it was received (keep in mind the date is the date received from the deliveryman, NOT the date downloaded).

    I was concerned about one of mine, too (not the McDonald's one you're seeking however), but have been assured by twistedpuppy it's still legit. I have Pokémon also caught on my SS "before" the E4 that shouldn't be based on date, but I'd moved the date back a week to try something out.

    It doesn't trip the Legality Check, but you're right, that is suspicious that the caught date hasn't changed. It may have been imported using Pokecheck, since I don't know if that changes the caught date or not. But it looks legit. Trade it or don't. Your call.

    Event Pokemon from Gen 3 do not have ribbons. Everything from Gen 4 on have Event Ribbons, unless the event was an egg.
