We have some Guides & Resources compiled that you might find useful. Smogon's Pokémon analyses have sections for team building (i.e. an analysis on Haxorus will suggest Magnezone for removing Steel-types). You can use this RMT Archive for examples on good teams. Looking over a Community Create-a-Team might give you a better idea on how to make a team. It's better to simply learn from practice though.

Well, you can enter the tournament and meet everybody there and maybe practice battle with someone. But not me since I just lost my dsi... I just posted the rules for the tournament again so you can go ahead and read them. There might be a lot of rules but I just hope everyone can follow them.
