Well, it's unknown whether they had or not... He originally went there to face his attacker, and from what I've unearthed in his memory is he actually challenged Dialga. All I heard Dialga say in the memory is: YOU STOLE MY ADAMANT ORB, BUT NOT JUST MY ORB! YOU HAVE ALSO ANGERED PALKIA BY TAKING HIS ORB AS WELL! PREPARE TO SUFFER!
Thankfully, it seems that Ragnar managed to fight him off, but at the cost of using the shadow gene and endangering himself.

Xialar doesn't know too much about it, but now he recalls it was a dream he had as well (go figure, Xialar in his young/old age still forgets quite a few things [almost like Ragnar.])

No, that's not what I' talking about. Ragnar was quiet all last night, didn't say a word to me, so I tried to get him to speak (he still didn't want to talk after that.) Sometime after I got sleep at midnight, Ragnar up and left for Lucaria! Good thing he left me with a message in my memory. That's the bad news. Good news is Xialar and Lyrex found him in his shadow form and sealed off the shadow gene, then sent him back to me, unconcious.
