i tried that again, but the tile has a lenght of 256 which cannot fit on a 256*128 titlescreen

hey codec, bad news, again... i have consulted bzuma and other title map editors and have arrived at the conclusion that the image you have given me cannot be as a title screen because:-
1. Image size is too big, it must be tilemapped which is not possible in your case.
2. The "press start" also has to be inserted within the same image, again size problem.
3. There isnt such a big space in the rom.

make sure the image is in 128*128, 64*128, 128*64. ill give u an example to show how the image should be.

sorry codec,... bad news. the pic you gave me, first in was not in the right size, i fixed it to 256*128
even after fixing that, i found out that the space required for this image would be around 13600 . that much isnt there in the rom.
if u look carefully at the celebi image too, youll see that the tiles of trees have been flipped, even the celebi is symetrical that is only one tile has been used and then flipped and used to save space.

well the story aint over yet, ill try expanding the rom and try/
