I took Spanish and German in high school, I don't remember a whole lot of it though. Yes I've heard of Oktoberfest, we had a couple of German foreign-exchange students at our school and they loved to discuss that subject. xD We had a tiny celebration ourselves when they introduced it to us.
That's really neat, learning a second language shows a lot about a person. I wish I would have kept up with my studies. Currently, I'm trying to teach myself Japanese. I have the material, I just haven't pushed myself to do it.
That's what I'm worried about, I don't want to become the "starving artist." (Actually, I probably wouldn't mind.) But there are a lot of obscure, overlooked careers that a few courses in art provide a path to, so I'm hoping I'll be able to start narrowing down my career choices once I get started taking courses.
That's great that you're doing well and enjoying (which is something I don't hear often) the classes you're taking, I hope you continue to pursue a career in that area. I'm the same way, there is so much that interests me. Thank you for the advice...it's just that I'm not exactly sure what I love most. :(
