Hehehe, some staff are always less tolerant than others. It varies between forums, of course, but even on the same forum, there's great variation. One has to learn where one can be a little more nooby. For example, I know the fanfiction mod fairly well (duh, obviously), as well as two Other Chat mods, so in those forums, I can be a little more . . . relaxed, maybe, would be a better word than nooby. But I know they have little tolerance for noobs in, say, Emulation. ^_^;;;

It seems the easiest way to get banned here is to insult a moderator directly.

I made sure to check with that before I registered it, lol. The last site I was on had a far stricter policy on alts, ie: NO!

Yerp, an alt. There was an alt frenzy a while back, and we were all having fun inventing usernames from DCC people (I came up with Sparkling Juicy Nurse Mitch - XP). I went to put Fruit (something something something), but I saw that the name was free, so I just had to grab it. XDD
