My school is like that because it's Canadian, and Canadian public schools = \o/ It also helps that I just happen to have residence in the zone of a pretty well respected school in the province. There are probably charter or magnet schools not unlike my own in the States, though their admissions are different than other schools. And they don't serve everyone.

I'm afraid, rather. I'm usually not a very attentive person, so I'm bound to make mistakes on the road. The theory test just tests you on "book knowledge" of driving in layman's terms. Rules of the road and the likes.

Money? Was it a private school? Or are you including taxes paid as well? Haha. In cases like those, I find that it's more productive to just study on your own time. :/ Luckily for me, my school's system doesn't require you to turn in homework or even do them (save for essays and projects), so I have a choice in what I study each night. Though the lack of urgency in the matter makes me pretty lazy to get to study as a result.

Neat-o. My parents are making me take the theory test this summer anyhow, so I guess it'll be my year afterall.

Oh my, I would imagine that would put anyone to hate against school (if the lessons weren't enough). I can't remember a teacher who was like your math teacher. Was he really young or was filling in? No excuse if he's experienced.

I think it's a good goal to have. Getting a job has been on my to-do list for years, and so is getting a driver's license. This year will be the year! ...
