That... actually seems like sexism to me. Reverse discrimination. That stuff is /everywhere/. I think it's a much bigger problem than just double standards in punishment. You name a discriminated minority, and I'll bet you there's reverse discrimination to be found.
People seemed to be implying she was not being punished harshly enough because she was a woman, when in fact it could be that men are punished too harshly and women just right. And if it's men who are punished too harshly then it's rather pointless to bring that up when a woman is on defense. (The reverse is also true for a man on defense if women are not punished harshly enough.)
So basically the point I was trying to get across is that there isn't much of a basis for calling sexism when it requires an entire separate debate just to figure out if it's relevant.
In fact, if you ask me, such a thing deserves it's own topic if anything.
