  • LoL you don't know the half of it. Sand is everywhere and rain is almost as dominant... though most places have banned swift swim and drizzle (together, you can have them separately but but you cant together). Sun isn't all that common, mostly because the stuff that abuses the sun isn't that powerful... and hail is even rarer... Its really only used to stop other peoples weather these days... But still weather is everywhere. A good 80% of all teams use weather of some sort
Its my most successful competitive team so far... Its pretty good, especially considering its not a bloody weather team. It seems like everyone is running weather of some sort these days, and I took it upon myself to make a team that can handle weather without using it.
Ahahaha well I've been playing with a team on an online simulator thing for a while now... Got up to 49th outve 20000 something at one point (im now sitting around 200th). Anyways the team is mostly built around a yanmega sweep... and consists of mamoswine, heatran, yanmega, starmie (as the core), and then a toss up for the last 2. Its either breloom or ferrothorn (breloom is a fun leech seeder, but i like spikes support from ferrothron) in one spot, and either garchomp or dragonite in the other (garchomp has better typing and stats, but dragonite knows extremespeed... which REALLY helps at times)
Started playing platinum again a little bit (well picked up the game from where i left off). Mostly because if I start trying to play somewhat competitively again, I'm gonna want a heatran =T
The problem with Phantom Brave, is the same problem that falls onto the disgaea series, in that it starts off hard, and then actually becomes a bit easier later on. Not that the battles get easier, but its just your characters are really hard to manage early on and become a lot easier later on. For example, in the beginning money is DEAD hard to come by, so you either give one character a nice equip, or give all your characters rather ****** ones.

Its especially true for this game, because even if you wanted to just power level one guy... it doesnt really work because all your characters disappear after so long... Except for marona herself, who... well... is a terrible frontline fighter.
Ya well its basically something like: Her parents died a while back and one of her parents friends (who is ash) got saved kinda... and now exists as a spirit that protects marona. Because of this however, everybody thinks she is possesed by some evil spirit and fear her, so shes treated like crap. And marona on the other hand is innocent and believes that as long as she keeps doing good, she will eventually be liked in return. Its a pretty tragic little story
Man i forgot how depressing this game starts out like... Everyone really treats marona like dirt for a while
LoL, choosing between Tactics ogre and Phantom Brave was a harder choice than I thought... Sat in the store for like 10 minutes weighing the 2 against each other. Finally went with Phantom Brave because it was 10 bucks cheaper, but I think I'll go back and buy tactics sometime later... It looks really good
