Finished the second one and... it's certainly interesting. The plot takes a turn into the surreal... mostly for good, but a lot of this book is very overwritten. And there are a number of cringey sex scenes that probably could have done with being left in a first draft. But apart from the overwritten elements, it's still very readable. Now onto Book Three tomorrow!

I've finished the first book (of three) of 1Q84, and it's very, very intriguing. I won't go into plot territory, but it concerns a split narrative, some supernatural elements, and lots of talk about sex. Yay!
