  • By the way, i'm curious, do you know if Nintendo can shut down any Pokemon fan game that doesn't have online play and is free?
put ya guns up sounds closest to the actual thing but looks terrible. this is a dilemma.
Yeah, it just adds the lighting/shading, smooths out any textures, and even adds any extra effects such as motion blur or depth of field.
It takes all of the 3D elements and renders them out into flattened, fully detailed 2D image(s) based on what is within the camera's resolution gate.
That's fine too. The program i'm using, Autodesk Maya, when rendering out an animation saves it in frames rather than a movie file, so I can adjust quality, size, format, etc as need be and just send the frames your way when done.

The only problem is, rendering takes a LONG time depending on the quality. So that would probably be the longest part of this, haha.
Not a problem. Yeah, I've actually gotten a hold of quite a few ripped 3D models from Nintendo games and they tend not to try and smooth out the edges in order to meet a certain poly count. You don't have to worry about that, i'll be sure to smooth everything out since it's going into a cut scene and not rendered in the game's engine. :P

Also, i'll make one with feathers and one without and show them to you when i'm done. I wasn't planning on going to far with the feathers.
Just wanted to let you know that I've got the base shape done for Ho-Oh (other than his wings, i'm going to do those separately so they animate better) and right now i'm getting into detailing him. I'm been jumping between the Ho-Oh and my school work so it's not getting done as fast. :P

Just wanted to know, would you prefer the normal looking 3D ho-oh, like this: Ho-Oh BR Image
Or would you prefer I try and give him a little fluff with real feathers on his body and such?
Not fair. I hate you. :)
I am one of those people who can eat anything and take crap care of my teeth and never get a cavity.
    SEE I WAS RIGHT
I didn't even notice. No, I don't mind whatever you want to do with stuff like that.
You don't, because you don't have me around. I am a veritable sponge of fun. I absorb it. From other people. Making them less fun. . . I am sorry.
    Yes. Quite. Indeed.

And you have too much fun. Stop having fun. What do you think this is, Funlandia?
    thank youu :33 And I did but stopped using it probably a year or more ago now...I just stopped wanting to put stuff there anymore lmao. Have this mentality where everything I should upload there needs to be "perfect" so I don't really put anything up >___>; Still need to watch a few people. ;__;
That sounds fairly easy. I'll start working on making a 3D model of Ho-Oh and show it to you once i'm done with the basic model for approval. Later once you make more plans on cut-scenes we can discuss how I can help out there.
What did you have in mind for the cut scenes? It might not be too big of a problem. After all, our teachers encourage us to try and push ourselves and learn new things on our own.

And Ho-Oh should be fairly easy. I could even texture/animate it if ever you needed it. These models take just a couple of hours to make, based on how long it took me to make that Bulbasaur.
