  • I'm not sure if you got my last PM or not (assuming you were busy), but do you remember the format of the hidden cry table you told me about?
This is the error I get,
5th gen in the wild and in trainer battles.
Oh, I want to use the Unova pokes as my starters but when I convert 501 (oshawott) into hex and put it in my script It shows up as wormadon, do you know what number oshawott is ?
Do I check your move table and TM Hack under settings?
Because I did that, and I still get a error trying to open P.E Post patch.
Hey, I'm currently using your 649 FR base (Very Awesome Btw!) and I'm just wondering, how would I change the movesets myself? because I can't open the rom after it has been patched in YAPE.
    Jambo = Hearts
    Jambo = Similar to Jamie
Therefore your username is the perfect username.
I posted this in my project thread, but I decided to just post this here anyways so you'll see sooner lol:

Jambo51, since I'm almost done with all 4th Gen sprites (all I need to do is Rotom and the legendaries), now would be the time to look into extending the Pokedex for Pokemon Ruby. If you could do that, that would be great :) If there's any offsets you need, just tell me what they are in FireRed and I'll find it's Ruby equivalent.
Wait, do you have at least all 4th Gen moves working (don't care about 5th Gen)?

I'm thinking about switching to FireRed because of JPAN's Hacked Engine, so it would be even easier to port stuff between our projects.
Just a question. If you were to look into making all 4th Gen abilities and battle items work properly on GBA, how long would it take to develop?

Also, how long would it take to create a disassembly for one of the GBA games?

EDIT: Forgot to mention. Is it possible for all 4th Gen moves to work on the GBA games?
With my past experiences in mind I really couldn't just assume that it would be okay to post the guide, which is why I asked ;-) and yeah of course I'll credit both of you.

About the 0x0 to 0x57 going onto worldmap 0 without a rewrite is no problem, I'll just extend the names 0xC5 + for maps not going onto worldmap 0 and use the worldmap map selector table "0x083F1AA0" to define what worldmap they should go onto. (source)

My intentions are to extend Fire Red with more maps, not changing too much on the original maps.

Do you have any details on that caveat you could share ?
Yes it's in bold, so yeah it's for the 0x0 -> 0x57 name extension.

I just wanted to make sure that I should change the "#0x58 to the NEW lowest index, ex "#0x0" if I wanted that to be the lowest index, or if I should change the entire thing to something else.

From my understanding of Fancy Knowledge #4 - Assigning A Map To A Certain Worldmap the only way to add more maps to Worldmap 0 is to add index below 0x58, unless you re-write the actual worldmap map selector routine.

Anyway I'm thinking about posting a very specific guide on doing all of this once I have it working on my end, since I had to read your post quite a few times to actually understand how to do this, hope you are okay with that, if not just tell me and I won't post it.

    Thanks for the help :-)
Did the "Change Routines", and I now was able to find the data tables, Thanks again.

    I have another question:
You write "*0x080C0BEC sub r0, #0x58; This needs to be removed to fix name loading." in your post, but I'm not sure exactly what you mean by it.

Should it be "0x080C0BEC sub r0, #0x0" or how would I do this?
Any chance you could contact me,
I need a little help with the "World Map Flag Data" in Pokemon Fire Red 1.0 (U).

I'm trying to increase the map name table,
and I (at least think I) have everything but this figured out.

My problem: I cant seem to find the data of neither WM flag data 1 or WM flag data 2,
or maybe the data is just this odd looking?

    WM flag data 1 ?
    0xDC bytes / 220 bytes
    Spoiler:
Ok, thanks for replying. I'll base my hack on Emerald.
Jambo, could I ask another question? LAZ posted some new hacks he was going to start with you, and they were based on Emerald. It said it will contain 649 Pokémon. Will you ever release a patch like this to the public? Just asking. :)
