Oh. Gen 4 is different. Lvl 100 Pokemon don't gain EVs in those games, at least not from battling. Vitamins should work just fine though, but only to 100 EVs in any given field.

In Gen 5, EVs are calulated after every battle, rather than just when you level up, and finishing a battle is the only requirement to gain EVs, allowing Lvl 100 Pokemon to be EV Trained.

The Blastoise you were saying you couldn't increase with Vitamins. Also I do not have a DW Illumise. Sorry.

Yeah, nothing about that on Smogon or Bulbapedia, and I found a couple of people on google asking about EVs and evolution, and there's nothing. That guy has been given bad info, unless he can point to a source.

I don't think that's true. All the research I've done says that even Lvl 100 Pokemon can be EV trained as of 5th gen.

I have the Pokemon in question, I want you to level it up for me. Anyway, I don't need the EVs reset, I just checked them and they're fine. I'll EV train it first, then give it to you for leveling. I don't know what you mean by it needing to be the lowest Evo, since any Pokemon can have it's EVs trained or reduced regardless of evolution.

It doesn't have to be now, but I have a favor to ask. Now that I'm done organizing my boxes, I want to hold an event to fill in the blanks for breeding. For part of that event I wanna raffle off a Pokemon. I was wondering if you could rare candy it to Lvl 100 for me, and possibly reset it's EVs to 0 so I can train it. I know I should put something like this in your shop, but I'm trying to be discreet, which is why I haven't specified which Pokemon it is.

It's okay. :) It would be a lot of extra work to transfer the pokemon from game to game.

It should have learned it at Level 57. Solar Beam is a Tm.
