Funny. I just had a discussion with another member on the forum asking the same question. Well actually. Nevermind.
I actually like that Webb's film focuses on the theme of Spider-Man/Peter Parker. (Ie. The struggle to become a super hero and dealing with powers at such a young age. With no mentors and no one to help or tell him what he's doing right or wrong. The theme that he must learn what to do by himself.) More over. Webb's Spider-Man is where he should be. In high school. In the first Raimi film, Peter was in high school for maybe less than quarter of the movie. AND BAM! He was in college. I was like, what? Your skipping one of the most pivotal points of Spider-Man being who he is. A kid, a tot, an immature young adult with these amazing powers. Raimi skipped all that jaz. All of it. Which made me sad.
Long answer short. I prefer Webb's over Raimi's, but I do respect that both series have their own pros.
