  • My sister is obsessed with Candy Crush Saga and Fruit (something or other) Saga. Frankly, it bothers me that people say that apps for smartphones and tablets are the way of the future for games when they're barely games to begin with. IMO, the people say that haven't play the 3DS lately, especially with a lot of the games that came out over the last year. Also, the access to older titles via EShop is a nice bonus. I'm not a huge fan of downloading games, but I did spring for a lot of VC titles last summer (namely the Zelda: Oracle games, Zelda: Link's Awakening, and some other titles I never even played for the GBC before).
I got a lot of use out of mine as well. I'm just not in a rush to get a Wii-U, though, since there aren't a lot of titles I really want for it yet.

The 3DS is a little better, though, because it's portable and still an actual gaming system. I don't like how smartphones are supposedly overtaking it, especially since most of the games on them are comparable to minigames in regular games.
Yeah, I know how that is. I don't play my Wii nearly as much as I played my GameCube, and my 3DS is almost constantly on whenever I have downtime. The last console game I got WAS Donkey Kong Country Returns for the Wii (I think I mentioned that).
It used be between $40-$50, usually towards the higher end of that for Nintendo's featured titles. It hasn't changed that much, but I have noticed the price difference between then and now.
It was a preorder thing. They did it as a teaser. I got it for a penny at Best Buy back in the day, but I had to pay $45 for the actual game, though.
Oh, yes, it does. I've used it plenty of times in each of my games. The only thing it won't do now is update the berry growing glitch since their internal batteries have died. Otherwise, the games and disk work perfectly.
You need both Groundon from SS and Kyogre from HG to summon Rayquaza in either game. I got lazy and exploited a Diamond AR hack to get them, though. I traded them in to each of my gen 4 and 5 games. I don't want to risk getting blocked from Pokemon Bank, so I only imported older Pokemon that I knew were legit. Extras will give me bargaining power on GTS. Btw, if you need a Jirachi, let me know. The Pokemon Colosseum bonus disk still works after all these years.
You got Articuno in your game , so that means you had...Froakie or Chestpin as a starter? I got Zapdos because my starter was Fennekin. It's like how it was in FR/LG, where the legendary that appears is supposed to be opposite the starter you pick. Like I picked Bulbasaur in LG, so Entei was the Johto Pokémon that I could hunt down. Well, in any case, the hunting gets a little annoying, but ultimately it leads to an encounter in the Sea Dragon's Cave off the coast of Coumarine City. It's like a reference to the second movie, where Lugia's revealed as the Kanto Trio's leader.

Anyways, yeah, I've spent a lot of time playing the games between the 3rd and 4th gens. I have almost all the games from Gen III onward, except for HeartGold (I only passed on it because I never got Gold version). I've played almost all of them through too, except White 2 and Y (both of which I'm still working to finish). I've amassed a huge collection in all my games, but I don't have a problem sharing the extras from the titles I've been planning to restart. Speaking of which, I'm halfway through Ruby finally and I just restarted Pokémon XD. I'm trying to get more extras from the Hoenn set so I have a little more bargaining power on the GTS for when I try to get some rare event legendaries that I couldn't get since I didn't have access to wifi at the time. It may sound a little obsessive, but I just like being on top of things like that, especially when I know not everyone's kept up with the series as much as I have.
Okay, those were all my spare and (mostly) untrained/unfinished Pokémon from Gens I through IV. If I had an extra Raikou and Suicune, I would've given you the full set. IIRC, that one Entei was just a stray one I got in either FireRed or LeafGreen. I have the Pokémon Colosseum set in my game, but I'm not willing to part with them since it took forever to get them up to Level 100.
Yeah, central. Sorry for the confusion. I'll be online shortly. I just have something I need to do quick before I get online with my game.
I'll be on around 7 or 8 PM tonight, if you still have time to do the trade. Like I said, they're legit legendaries, I just can't guarantee you'll like the natures. They're basically ones left over from before when I didn't really care about natures or anything statistical in the games.
Yeah. I understand that. I have a bad tendency of starting things ASAP and not finishing for a while
Well, if you get busy, just let me know. I have all the time in the world. I just like getting things done ASAP when I can.
    No problem :)
So I took a look at your dA page. Nice comic you're making, having an anti-hero protagonist is rather rare nowadays.
Yeah, it's nice for a change without having to do some kind of relay thing. But, yeah, Saturday works for me. Namely anytime after 7:00PM central is best for me. If that doesn't work for you, just let me know. It's not like I have a lot of stuff going on during the weekend anyways.
HAHAHA, weird coincidence. Also, yeah, I did import them all the way from gens III and IV. Well, a few weeks ago in preparation for Pokémon Bank. I was actually going to restart a few of my older games.

Well, there's no rush. I just wanted to make you aware that I did have legendaries to spare if you need them. If you don't have time atm, I'll catch you another time, maybe tomorrow or sometime this weekend if you have time to spare. I'm probably going to log off in a little bit anyways, so don't worry about. I'm just surprised I actually caught you online at the same time I was again. It's nice being able to chat in almost real time for a change.
    Yep.

HEY! Are you online with your Pokémon game at the moment? I just uploaded a ****load of legendaries from my Pokémon Black 2 game with the release of Pokémon Bank. Namely, I have spare 3rd gen legendaries if you want them. Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, and Latias/Latios. They're all legit, if you wanted them for dex-filling. The only issue you may have is that the Latis' Nicknames didn't change back to their default names, i.e. the nicknames I gave them are all in caps. I heard that they were supposed to change automatically if they were like that, but I guess it doesn't apply to nicknames that aren't against the censored by Nintendo's servers (their names are nothing nasty, just Alexander/Alexandra in all caps... :P). I'll probably have more to trade down the line, granted I finish my replay of Ruby soon.
