I never spent that much on clothes (I think my entire wardrobe was around as much as the one uniform), but that's a good point. Clothes can be dangerously expensive. @w@

Heh, I see that all the time with students so I'm not surprised. I sorta had it with Spanish too, but that's because I never use it here in Japan (and Japan took over the space in my mind as my "foreign language.") Road is shorter to say than my real name so I get that a lot, but I respond to a lot of names (I've been Mina, Lloyd, N, Dominic, and a few others over the years, and I sorta respond to all of them haha. Road is my preferred though.)

That they are, but Totodile is my favorite of those starters after I saw how happy he is dancing xD

Right now I am using Torracat, Rowlet's first evolution (Forgot the name) , Lycanroc (evolved today, had to change the time on my DS since it only evolves during the daytime) WishiWashi (Freaking love his schooling ability!), Rufflet and Steenee, but I also have Growlithe, Fomantis and slowpoke in the box that I switch up depending on what I need, planning on training Cutiefly too and probaly some others

It's definetly a drastic change from dragonair to dragonite, but I like cute fat animals xD
my first ever pokemon game was yellow, so I could have all 3 starters, though you get them at lv 10 when your party is already reaching or past lv 20, a bit of a pain to make them catch up xD
In second generation I fell in love with Quilava and totodile *-*

I also love Espeon, and when it got magic bounce it became even better *-*
Jolteon is also pretty good, I used it a lot in OR at the battle maison. Dratini is cute but I always like dragonite better, it's just so adorable but powerfull xD
Yeah, grass types are really getting a lot of good designs lately. And thanks for the hint, I will be sure to check all different formes to see how creepy their pokedex entry is xD

Me too, I always tend to like fire types better (With some exceptions), and I started to like Eevee better in second generation thanks to Umbreon =3
And yes I did! he is already lv 22 and SO DAMN CUTE! got a lot more pokemons too xD
and the pokedex entries for some pokemons are creepy, like drifbloon not like fat kids cause he can't carry them away, that round fruit pokemon that gets eaten whole by toucannon, and cubone getting attacked when he is crying because he was thinking about his deceased mother x.x

Ohhh yeah, really there's only a prevalence in bigger cities. Out here, I've had everything from angry looks to completely and utterly confused looks (mostly from kids cuz they don't know what to do). @w@ Ahh, actually some of the other foreigners are from non-English-Speaking countries, so I mostly only talk with other ALTs. However. there are some Japanese people here that have an interest in English so they speak it decently well, but the only ones that speak English fluently are the English teachers at my school haha.
Oh for sure! I asked one of my students what he thought of uniforms, and for him they save time, cuz he doesn't have to think about what to wear in the morning. I never through of it that way! (As for saving money, Idk how much uniforms costs for you guys, but over here one is like...40,000 yen or about $350?) Oh man, manga was and still is my sweet love. Now that I know enough Japanese to read it sorta, I buy Japanese manga all the time which is super cheap compared to English manga. (The average volume in the US is around $12, whereas here they are 400-600 yen or about $4-$6, but if you get them used sometimes they're as low as 50 yen!)
HAH, sounds like the English here in Japan. In bigger cities it tends to be passable, but most Japanese speakers of English have sorta an approximate knowledge, so it's not often perfect. For being a required subject in school, you'd think people would know it a little better.

Oh no, not at all haha. My region has a total of about 10 ALTs, all from the US. There's some people from other countries (a group of Indian ladies live in my city somewhere), but otherwise it's all Japanese people. It's not uncommon for me to be stared at when I go about the town. @@
Seriously, it drives me nuts haha. How interesting! I guess some private schools in the US have uniforms too, but I was in public school all my life and they never have uniforms. I personally like them now, but I also enjoyed wearing whatever I wanted when I was younger. Heh, I think everyone had a phase like that; my friends and I were nerds so I mostly had graphic tees with video game characters on them and such. I also sorta sometimes wore anime accessories, like I had a Naruto headband I wore for good luck on tests. >w>
OHH I totally forgot that multiple national languages are a thing, that would explain it! Sounds like French translators could be useful...I was looking for another language to start learning...Hmm...
Oh man if you wanna I have a ton more requests for you! And yes on both of those!! The biggest rule is that the Pokemon be a 1st evo and be at Lv. 5. There's a beginner's thread over in the LC Smogon forum that'll explain all the rules and stuff. They're still working on sets for this gen, but they have a few out already.
