I guess people just don't have the devotion or the resources to trade with people. Plus, getting online and trading can be a little intimidating at first.

Luck is all a matter of perspective... or something else that's profound. I'm actually from Oregon, but I did my 4 years in Tacoma. I'd like to move back there where it's not ridiculously expensive yet. My partner is moving with me, though, so we can afford a little bit more expensive place.

That's fair. I guess they've gotten around some of the cheating by just making it so people can somewhat modify their IVs and more easily control their EVs. Still, people don't want to put in the effort.

I guess if it's in game and not going to anyone else, I think hacking's passable, but I still look down on it. The only thing that I'm not bothered by is a flawless foreign Ditto. They're not actually using that Ditto other than breeding.
