I'm not saying what Waudby did was right or even polite in any way, but the fact that you're not a big company doesn't make what Waudby did any different from somebody using ripped graphics from the games. You make them for fun and don't really lose anything; Nintendo makes them to make a profit and loses revenue when people steal from them. At the end of the day people are still using stuff without permission. Either way, it was in no way meant as a personal attack against you, so sorry if you felt that way.

It wasn't a personal attack against you, nor did I actually mean to imply that you stole tiles from anywhere. All I was stating is that Waudby using edited tilesets from you is no different than people using edited diamond and pearl tilesets.

hey kyle ive heard about ppl stealing ur tiles(!!!) and im really sorry! but there one precaution you could have made to avoid this in the first place, not to sound rude or anything(i really respect u and ur work and can't wait for your game!!)... Couldn't you have posted up your maps as jpgs? that would have solved mostly everything! lol

im really sorry this happened and i can help you if you need any! also, could you pm me more info on what the mods said, cuz i don't get how they sided with the stealers when they were clearly guilty!

Hey Kyledove. I would just like to say sorry that people are stealing your tiles, as I use the ones you made for public and they are quite amazing and I don't know how people could be so greedy and steal them.

Anyways I have a question. Do you think you can make some snow based houses of the ones you already made, like just adding snow on top of the roof and edges of the doors and stuff?

If not, do you mind if I *try* to edit your houses/trees to make them look snow-ish? (I Suck at spriting so it PROBABLY won't work). Of course I will give you complete credit and say that I only slightly edited them. If you don't want me to try this I won't. Thanks in advance.

I was looking inside other websites threads and your name came up quite a bit with rombases. I would like to know if you have a full/or somewhat full rom base of ruby or firered. I downloaded one before but only the first two tilesets were done. Please reply, I will be glad to hear from you.

Your probably sick of these but I think you need a little more insight.
1. Waudby is lying in your thread. Thats because he is afraid and stupid. He stole your tiles. He claims idea stealing exists (hahahahahahaha good one). Hes annoying. Get over that.
2. Your idea of stealing and spriting needs to be reassessed. Let's cut the bull here, making your own sprites by reference of DP images is still a DP image. Nintendo has copyright on all the sprites, its not like the this here. Nintendo doesn't have copyright over the looks and the double letters ii cause that would be absurd. You might get away with it sure but its in the same position as Waudby. If you say that its yours when its someone elses its not really fair. Also you claim editing the sprite is still stealing, dont we all do that in the forum, you just happen to be a victim of it. Just because we cant see nintendo doesnt mean that they exist.
3. I was going to comment on placeholders but i reread and you didnt call a placeholder stealing (yet) so I wont bring up an issue on that.
4. So what should you realize? You are a victim like nintendo. Someone stole "your" tiles. Basically since you are already doing something illegal you have to realize that WHAT YOU PRESENT OR SHOW CAN BE USED. Does it matter if its legal, nope. Cant reiterate enough about how the game showcase takes the copyrighted pokemon sprites. You can only try to diminish the chance and use of the tiles you do not want to publish. There are many examples and you can ask me for some about how to diminish this chance. In terms of this forum I think they should crank up the number of moderators so they can check theft (its not supported by PC sure but another forum can support it).

So am I a goody goody two shoes that follows the rules. HELL NAH. lol. I am creating a pokemon game right now with the sprites (i dont use your sprites because it is a special type of game). Neo-Dragon does it, waudby does it, boodasack does it, almost everyone on the forum does it. But they have to accept the fact that they are susceptible to the same things as you. Accept it or dont. I hope you keep up your game I am a big fan of your project (its one of the few i think will make it to the finish). PM me if you have any questions are concerns.
