  • Turkish is the term, Turkic is a more broad type of term. Their culture is a blend because the Ottoman Empire conquered so many places. I mean, Istanbul was once Constantinople! owo

D: More Professional Art Judges are notorious for having very ranging and different standards every time a contest goes around.

There are only two things I am unsure of at the point. If I am going to SCAD or RMCAD, and what my major is. I know what majors I don't want, but some I cannot deiced upon. For RMCAD there is Graphic Design + Interactive Media and Game Art. I remember pointing this out to someone earlier that Games are not quite the safest route, but I keep having more and more ideas for some new games. I really would want to do that, but Game Art is more on 1) The Art Side 2) Mostly 3D Modeling when I want to do 2D games 3) A BFA in Game art doesn't really say "I can make a game", it's more I can draw it.
D: It's just making me rethink a lot of things and it's bothering me...
For SCAD there is Interactive Design and Game Development, but I've been leaning more to RMCAD for awhile. (Smaller, not $44,000 a year)
And I thought more about this one because it's both. Interactive Design is the safe route. Well, if you look at the class listings you usually have to make a choice between the game side and the web design side.

My senior year is gonna be enjoyable I think. It won't be super easy, but I'll have classes that I enjoy working hard at, not ones I do just because I have to.

:| It's making me just a bit upset, considering people posting a small amount of hours before got theirs changed...well hours before me. I would understand if I caught the mod at a bad time because they went to sleep, but now it's too long. Does it take that much to change a name so they just don't want to do it as the people come?
yes I'm sure. this error pops up when I open the regular pokemon menu then select pokemon and this error comes up.
sorry if this is becoming a real hassle>
    But now I get this....

"They looked like Muslims"? xD I didn't really think that had a look. Middle Eastern would be the term your looking for. Which Turkish people are interesting because normally their skin color is that of Europeans, but they have the facial features of Middle Easterners. I think they have an interesting blend of things.

You were most likely the best student, so they wanted to encourage you or associated you with the "top". Some people here think my pixel art is excellent and think of it in high standards, but really my skills are above rookie, but below professional. There are a whole lot of people much better out there, who are professionals! I'm not being modest, I know I was not going to win because I know how to gauge the quality of my work compared to another. For art you cannot "match" someone by information alone. If someone was trying to match what college kids knew in school, they would be reading and memorizing the facts until they had enough information to match. If artist A is adept in watercolors and artist B is also adept in watercolors, the outcome will not be the same. Actually an artist can be less adept at a technique and still create something greater.
Knowing where I place is a thing I must know, it's not modesty.

Well, I have to be prepared or I'm not going to have a future! I don't get depressed when I think about it, or at least consciously (says the nightmare), I really can't wait for all of this stuff! I get depressed when I think that I have a whole year of school left before I can go anywhere.

So it looks like you're making a great effort in college right now. Are you planning on transferring anymore?
    I guess there isn't alot of HoF drama at this particular moment as we're actually not more active in the summer? xD;;
Though there was Spey drama on PC, but they're all trying to get past it right now.

Yeap. Ahh, I guess the person who changes name still isn't on. It looks like I posted only a little while after they got off, bad luck!
I always knew I wasn't going to do well in the contest. :3
The question would be "Why didn't I make it better then?" because sometimes you just can't churn something until it gets better. For this Star Maker I've been working constantly, but with large breaks inbetween. My first entry had some glaring errors because I never went away and then gave it good look. Even for school work as well, some times just going at it again and again isn't going to work. Take a step back, refresh your mind, and try again. It's not just pixel art.~

They do work very hard at school, but it's not just that. We don't work hard enough.
They go to school longer, work harder, take more tests, and high school isn't free.
BUT, from what I've heard college life is just a big party as most of the learning is done, just some specialization. Hehe.
When I was talking to someone on Mabinogi (MMO, I may stretch the 'I have no time' just a tad bit. |D;;; ) who (from Canada) kept really dragging on me and my friend Kitty as we were talking about Art Colleges. He was saying he's not going to pay a teacher 44k to sit there and do nothing, as that's what his teachers do. He still wouldn't understand when I was explaining to him that we only get the bare basics in Primary School. They could teach alot more, but they don't and college is the only option to get a higher specialized education. "Just buy the books and pay for the test!" He really didn't understand. Like you, if you just "popped" up out of the blue and had the necessary skill level I doubt people would hire you. You need connections, experience while you are working, and be demanded of.

Apparently some people my age have not given much thought to college, and I find that so wondrously strange. I think about my future so very often and I still have plenty of questions to ask.

Ooo Solar Energy, that's pretty useful! Do you still think you will have enough time for the game? Other people who may determine the fate of your future will be counting on you. Are you sure you need the stress of internet drama and playing parent?

Also, when you do get that car, I don't care if you have to name "Carol", make sure you think you love it. Machines have personalities and if you hate it, it's going to hate you back. xD

    Oh yeah!
I'm getting my name changed to
    Vişne Tanrıça
It's Turkish for Cherry Goddess. It's a bit of a joke in real life. If I hadn't told you before I used to go to a school run by Turkish people. I participated in a contest between a few schools that offered Turkish and I got second in the presentation category.

I really wasn't planning to enter as at first it was just an assignment in class to create a paragraph about something. One of the things was about your favorite food.
So I wrote a whole paragraph about how much I liked cherries, and all the Turkish speaking people teased me a lot. xD;;; (Not in a bad way, I thought it was funny.)
Do you need bases? Also I get this error when using your script?

Hey HOF. Long time no talk ;) Carbon's moving at a slow but satisfactory pace for me, my main concern at the minute however is Finishing up Raptor lol, but Carbon's big update is going great. I'm sorry about what happened to HOF and I really do hope you'll be able to recover your game from it.
Well I shouldn't be so mad at you for not reading my blog closely, seeing as all the new blogs above me have 2 - 20 comments, I'm not part of the cool blog crowd to warrant any.
I was in such a good mood yesterday, then I woke up with a nightmare this morning that I'm pretty sure symbolized being by myself for the week in SCAD, and eventually college. And my mother didn't even notice as I went through the house, I guess she just thought I was groggy.

Summer homework isn't a bad thing, and should really be done all the time. In Japan you change grades in the Spring and always have summer homework instead of forgetting absolutely everything you just learned that year.
Hopefully you can get a decent car around there. I know you can here, but we have rednecks. :3

I'm always trying to improve my skills, practice makes "perfect" but in art you can always always always improve.
Thank you. I'm glad you like it. =D

XD Well, it's really better that you wandered off oil/gas. I really don't foresee it lasting as an energy source, personally, in part because it's not renewable, it's expensive (from what I understand, at least), and tons of people are looking for alternatives. Again, good luck with everything. I'd love to hear about what you do on these projects because it definitely sounds interesting.

As for fan games, awesome to Raptor. I'm itching for something new to play anyway. To your fan game, sure, I'm curious to see what your maps look like. What's your fan game about in general?

Thanks for the congrats. Yeah, I'm looking into graduate school, though I haven't really decided on what my top five choices are yet. I'd really like to end up in New York or Boston because a lot of publishing houses are headquartered in those two cities. (I'd like to eventually be a copy-editor -- or one of those people who proofread everything that goes through a publisher.) So, a lot of the schools I'm looking at are there, but I'm also thinking of going overseas to study in England. I've heard they've got great schools over there as well.

Also, good luck to getting into an Ivy League school. Definitely, definitely keep applying. I've heard it also helps to get involved in extracurriculars, even if you're in undergraduate college, and even then, if you apply to every single one, odds are one of them will accept you. (Maybe try Carnegie Mellon? They've been elevated to Ivy League status a couple years ago, and I've heard they've got decent engineering programs. Not sure if they've got something that can cover your area of focus.)

You're welcome, and thanks for accepting. =D Also, I became invisible around 1 AM, after having been told by a friend that someone shady I know is lurking around PC now.
