    Rawltz & Rawltz Co.

    Story:

Rawltz and Rawltz Co. is a business sweeping over the economy of the Pokemon world. The economy of the world couldn't be any better, and it won't get any worse with the direction R&R is taking it. But something else is going on behind the great economy boosting and money making schemes of R&R. Authorities suspect that R&R is into something much more devious than simply tricking other businesses into selling the business to R&R. Authorities think that Rawltz and Rawltz are doing something so terrible that only the highest executives of the government can know.

Recently, the highest of the government have diligently chosen people from all over the Pokemon world to go into the business and get into the main building and be a spy for the government. You have been chosen to be a spy to help thwart Rawltz & Rawltz.

On the other hand, Team Tiroge has been slowly and slowly tearing down the Pokemon World little by little, bit by bit. Though Team Tiroge and the Rawltz and Rawlts Co. would seem like the worst of enemies, people believe that they are in close relation. Rawltz and Rawltz has been carefully gaining the trust of the whole of the Pokemon world, acting against Team Tiroge. Team Tiroge has been hurting the world bit by bit, and acts against Rawltz and Rawltz. Authorities think that they have close ties to each other because they seem to have headquarters in the same place and also seem to have related executives.

    Plot:

You have recently received a mysterious envelope with your name on it, and with no return address. It is labeled "R&R/TT". You wonder why this has been sent to you. You are just about to start a Pokemon journey of your own, and you are far too young. You open the letter anyways. It reads:

    Dear [Your Character's Name],
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann. She lives in Slateport City, Hoenn. She has recently moved from Johto, and has built a new laboratory in Slateport. But the laboratory isn't normal. It is located underwater. You will need to report the Oceanic Museum located in East Slateport. There will be no need to pay admission. We will immediately take you to your first destination. You must be there at strictly 7:00 PM. We do not appreciate or tolerate latecomers. Once there, we will all leave for the Laboratory of Professor Hann. There you will receive your first Pokemon, which has been carefully chosen by Hann. Then, Hann and I will explain to you everything that is happening and why. Then, just as quickly as you came, you will leave. You are not to tell anyone about your visit to Professor Hann and you are not to tell anyone about this letter. Leave every one of you Pokemon behind. You will receive your Pokemon once you come to Slateport.

    Sincerely,

    The name was unreadable.

    Out of Game
    Name: chi

    In Game
    Birth Name: Grey Christopher Rose
    Nickname: Chris or Grey
    Age: 12
    Gender: Male

    Appearance
    Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Brown/Green (Changes colors, or both at once)
Hair Style: No further than the collar, over the ears a bit.
    Weight: 89
General Appearance: Grey is fairly tall for his age, being somewhere around 5'5". He is 'shrimpy' you might say. He doesn't work out, and doesn't have much meat on his bones. He wears a formal watch, nothing fancy though. He usually wears contacts, but if you catch him on a bad day he will be wearing wire-rimmed glasses. He has a few freckles here and there across his face. He has a skinny nose, and has the first signs of acne appearing on his forehead. He has a normal sized chin, and thin lips. He is usually wearing gloves on his hands to cover up his bony fingers. His arms are skinny and most would be able to wrap their hand around his wrists. His legs are the same as his arms: skinny and bony. He has fairly big feet for his small size. A good word to describe his figure is 'lanky'.
Average Attire: Grey wouldn't be caught dead in shorts. He always wears jeans, and is okay with short sleeved shirts. Underneath his shirt he always wears a white undershirt. Over his shirt he usually wears a gray hoodie (ironic, aye?). He has bleach-white sneakers; they look as if they have never been worn. Though you can't see his socks, he usually wears the socks that are hidden beneath the shoe.
Formal Wear: If Grey gets invited to a school party he would probably wear his normal: jeans, short sleeved shirt and undershirt and a gray hoodie. But if the party happens to be a 'Sunday Best' party then he would wear a black or navy blue sports jacket (or suit) accommodated by a usually blue or white button-down shirt with a tie (non-clip on). He would wear khaki or black pants, held up by a usually brown belt. His choice of shoes would be brown 'penny loafers'.
Cold out: On a chilly winter's day, Grey would be seen in his usual dark blue jeans, but a long sleeved shirt and hoodie. Instead of sparkly white sneakers, Grey would wear brown boots. On cold days Grey would usually have his glasses on, so his contacts won't dry out with the dry and cold wind. If it is especially cold, he would either have a hat on, or the hood of his hoodie.

    Personality
Likes: Cats, work, Pokemon, Internet, technology
Dislikes: Siblings, dogs, cold days, warm days
    Fears: Blood/guts, death, pain
    Strengths: Schoolwork, work, typing
Dream: Grey's main goal would be one of the most well-known Pokemon technology inventor.
Personality: Grey is calm whenever things around him are calm. He is a follower if whatever must get done doesn't affect his grades, etc., but whenever something comes up and it will affect his life he will take the lead of the project and complete it with his best efforts and intentions. His mood changes as the mood of those around him changes. If it is a rainy day, he will most likely be gloomy, but on a bright day he will be happy and calm. Whenever something sad, devastating, happy, or joyous happens, he usually won't show much emotion. A good way to describe his personality is if the weather is good, he's good, but if the weather is gloomy, he's gloomy. Because of his small size he is usually picked on by kids his age and older. Usually the first time they pick on him is also the last. He has a darks side when someone threatens him or tries to hurt him. People learn that despite his laid back person, he can get mad fairly easily. Outwardly to everyone Grey is very calm and shy, but those who really get to know him will see that he can be very open and talkative, quite the opposite of his normal, laid back personality. Grey is loyal to everyone around him and when he is around strangers, he tends to try to be cool and mysteries to make a good impression, but he usually fails.

    Name - Scarlett Rose
Age - (Died at birth; would be 12)
    Relation - Sister

    Name - Thorn Rose Jr.
    Age - 22
    Relation - Brother (Estranged)

    Name - Mary Iona
    Age - 63
    Relation - Caretaker
Past: Twenty-two years to the day before Grey was born, his brother, Thorn Jr. was born. Twenty-two years later Grey and his twin sister Scarlett were born on a rainy, gloomy day; his parents were Scarlett and Thorn, both were great, wealthy Pokemon trainers. Sadly, Scarlett died at birth. Then to make his birth sadder, his dad died less than a week later. Now Scarlett was a single mom of to boys: the newborn Grey and Thorn Jr., age 10. Then, when Grey was eight and his brother was 18, their mother died. After the deaths of his parents Thorn became estranged from his only left family member, Grey. He left Grey in the care of Mary Iona, a boring, old caretaker. Luckily for Grey it was only two years before he left on his Pokemon journey. But when Grey finally turned ten, Iona wouldn't let him leave. After another two year wait, Grey was able to leave, but with no Pokemon. On a search to find his brother, he ended up in Sangem Town, where there was a Professor, who had a computer. He looked up his brothers name, Thorn Rey Rose Jr. he found out that his brother was the owner of the biggest money-making company and was better known now as Mr. Rose; Grey then knew that his brother would never let him live with him. He was a big shot now, not caring about his orphaned brother. That is when Grey knew that he finally needed to go on his own Pokemon journey.
Other: Though Grey would love to become part of his brothers new family, he was filled with hate because his brother left him long ago.

    Name: Army
    In Game
    Birth Name: Domonic Christopher Santino
    Nickname: Dom
    Age: 16
    Gender: Male
    Appearance
    Hair Color: Ebony Black
    Eye Color: Navy Blue
Hair Style: Somewhat long, about eye level. Usually matted and messy.
Weight: Around 210 lbs, mostly muscle.
General Appearance: [I assume you mean like facial features and such.] Dom doesn't really have anything special going on with facial features. He has some stubble that he tries to keep clean shaven. He has a few freckles around his nose left over from his childhood years, but not that many to notice unless you really look for them.
Dom's build is quite nice. He works out frequently which resulted in his muscular figure. He has a nice, cut six-pack and thick Quadriceps and Hamstring. He is known for his massive leg strength; while his arm strength is sub-par.
Average Attire: Dom can be considered a poster boy for a Rocker. He is always sporting T-Shirts with his favorite bands; or maybe even his favorite guitar's on them. His hair is usually covering the topmost part of his eyes; providing a limited view of his face. The staple to his outfit is his guitar that is always swung around his back. It's a beautiful instrument with a special engravement on the metal plate that lies on the backside of the guitar. The engravement reads "Dear Son, Happy 7th Birthday. We love you. ~Mom and Dad".
Moving downward, his legs are usually covered by jeans. Never shorts though, for Dom hated people seeing his legs. Usually the jeans have a rip or two around the knees; nothing big, just little tattered spots here and there. His pants are held up by a black leather belt with a shiny belt buckle that was in the shape of a guitar's topmost part; the part with the tuning pegs.
Even further down, Dom's shoes are mostly his favorite dark blue, high-top shoes [I'm speaking of real-life Converse shoes, but I don't want to use copyrights.]. But he has a few other favorites; such as his pitch black skate shoes. Dom never skated, but he did love skate shoes.
Formal Wear: While attending the fancy-doo's Dom will wear only the best of the best formal clothing. Not something you would expect out of him; but hey, he likes to look nice for the ladies.
He dons his dark blue striped blazer with the fancy undershirt. He keeps a tiny handkerchief in the blazer pocket; not for fancy looks, but for his allergies.
His dress pants match his blazer; dark blue and striped. In the right pocket of his dress pants lies a guitar pick. Mainly because he can't carry his guitar with him; but he still wants part of it to stay with him at all times.
His black dress shoes are shined periodically to keep them looking their best at all times. Dom gets them so shiny you could see your reflection in them.
Cold out: When the weather gets a bit too nippy for Dom's tastes he throws on his favorite jacket. It has a checkerboard pattern on the sleeves and on the back. The front of it sports his favorite logo. [It looks exactly like this jacket: http://www.tillys.com/tillys/variant...ze=-1&source=3. Again, did not want to use copyrights]
He breaks the mold of his usual jeans when the temperature decreases. Instead he wears black sweat pants that are somewhat baggy. His shoes remain the same no matter what the temperature.
As for headwear, Dom will just throw on his hood for head warmth when needed.

Dream: Dom has no real goal. He takes life as it comes. But if he had to choose he would probably say that he wants to complete a Poke'dex someday.
Personality: Dom has a very interesting personality. He has so many different personality concepts all crammed into his being. For starters, he is incredibly flirtatious. If a nice looking woman catches his eye there is no hesitation to him flirting with her.
He is also very competitive. He protects his personal championship in guitar playing and running. So far, nobody has bested him in either.
All around though, he is a pretty simple, kind person. He is quite charitable and honest. You wouldn't really expect these kinds of actions with his outward presence; but hey, you can't judge a book by its cover!
    History
    Family:
Mother- Deborah Leanne Santino, age 37
Father- Joshua Scott Santino, age 39
Past: Dom's life has been pretty basic up until now. He was born in LavenderTown to his two loving parents; who have been there for him his whole life. One day, when Dom was 6 to be exact, He and his father were traveling around CeladonCity when Dom noticed a raggedy looking bum city on the corner playing a beaten and worn guitar with an open case in front of him. The intoxicating tune filled Dom's eardrums as he stared in awe at the beautiful music. Dom's father merely pulled Dom away and threw some pocket change into the guitar case. "Daddy! Daddy! I want a music player like that!" Dom would plead. "Maybe someday son" His father would say with a hearty giggle while patting his son's head.
That day came two years later; on Dom's tenth birthday. Dom was unaware of what the large rectangular box held. He tore like mad at the ribbons and paper. The guitar revealed its shining glory in a matter of seconds. Dom stared for a few moments, and then broke into tears of joy. He embraced his parents and picked up the guitar and automatically played a simple, yet graceful, tune on it. He was a natural.
Over the years, Dom's talent grew to near professional levels. He has gained much respect among LavenderTown as their local "Jimi Hendrix".
    Other: Dom has bad allergies.

    Name: Pika ^^
    In Game
    Birth Name: Gale Sapphire Hana
    Nickname: Cobalt, Saph
    Age: 14
    Gender: Girl

    Appearance
    Hair Color: Golden Blonde
    Eye Color: Sapphire Blue
Hair Style: Long and straight; roughly chest length
Weight: Secret~ But it isn't unreal
General Appearance: Gale is average-sized in terms of width. She has a D-cup, which men tend to stare at often (to her dismay). She is roughly 5'6" in height, so she's a lot taller than some may expect. And, she has a scar over her left eye. It is a crimson red, and I will explain how it got there in her history. But it makes her look more "sexy" to many for some reason...
Average Attire: Gale wears a white t-shirt, where the sleeves for the arms end roughly at the elbows. She wears green camoflauge capris that go until about an inch or two above her foot. She wears black slip-ons, similar to what a schoolgirl would wear, and she has short white socks to go with them. Often times, she wears a white kitty-eared cap and even more rarely a white kitty tail.
Formal Wear: Gale honestly does not like dressing up. But when she does, she wears a silky and smooth sapphire blue gown-like dress that ends around her knees. She wears silky sapphire blue slipper-like shoes to go with the dress. She also has pearl white frills where her dress starts (roughly around her chest; some cleavage is showing) and at the end on the bottom. She will occasionally wear a silver tiara with a beautiful sapphire in the middle.
Cold out: Gale actually just wears her average attire, as she is pretty much oblivious to temperatures from 33 degrees F and 69 degrees F. But, if it drops below 33 degrees F, Gale puts on a sapphire blue scarf with a wave-like pattern in the fabric. She will also put on a sapphire blue faux fur coat, where the faux fur is pearl white. She may also wear sapphire blue cozy slippers and black hiking socks to go with them, so she can keep her feet warm.

    Strengths:
    +Singing
    +A decent battler
    +A good seamstress
    +A somewhat decent coordinator
Dream: To prove she just isn't "eye candy", and that she can be as good a battler (not to mention coordinator) as any boy.
Personality: Gale is very shy and quiet. She can be stubborn at times, but only when people try to make her do things she doesn't want to do, or if they collide with things she already has planned. Gale is also a brilliant tactician. She is able to plan out and execute strategies perfectly, and she is able to take note of her opponent's strategies, as well as the strategies certain Pokemon may have. She also may tend to be a bit of a scatterbrain, sometimes forgetting things. She may also tend to zone out, much to the dismay of some.

    History
Family: Orphan, so no family :/
    Acquaintances:
Rin "Yin" Tao - 18 - free-spirited coordinator and battler; works well with her partner/twin; has a blue female Shellos named Lan
Ren "Yang" Tao - 18 - free-spirited coordinator and battler; works well with his partner/twin; has a pink female Shellos named Zhen

Past: Gale has been an orphan for so long, she's lost track of where she's been and what she has done. She only remembers places she has stayed at for the longest times. Overtime, she gained a sewing kit and free lessons from someone with a heart of gold, so she can sew together attire for her or her Pokemon. As for the scar... She was struck by a Gallade's Fury Cutter while trying to protect a small girl. Eventually, the owner of the Gallade recalled his Pokemon, so it couldn't do any more harm. But since then, Gale's scratch has remained in place.
Other: Her singing seems to have a soothing effect on Pokemon and people O.o
Where Your Character is When Receiving the Letter: Blackthorn City, Johto, in the Dragon's Den; she has lived all her life in Phenac City, of the Orre Region, but decided to go to Johto on vacation, so she took a boat from Gateon Port and arrived in Olivine. She then trekked all the way to Blackthorn, and decided to visit the Dragon's Den and stay there for a while to avoid the hectic pedestrians.

    Poke'mon
Preferred Starter: Larvitar (Female; nicknamed Terra Ruby, or just Terra for short; Adamant Nature (+Atk. -Sp. Atk.) as given); Terra has a ruby red scar in the shape of an "X" right in the middle of her forehead, but it is unknown as to how she got it
    Captured:

    Birth Name: Sydney Acacia Ackerman
    Nickname: Syd
    Age: 16
    Gender: Female

    Appearance

Hair Color: Dark Brown (Almost looks blackish)
    Eye Color: Light Gray
Hair Style: She has bangs that go down over her right eye and the rest of her hair is kept in a ponytail
    Weight: 103 Ibs.

General Appearance: Sydney stands at five foot and three inches but sometimes she wears black three inch high heels to make her seem taller than she actually is, although it doesn't exactly go with her outfit. Sydney inherited long dark brown hair from her mother which she usually ties into a ponytail while letting her bangs fall down to cover a bit of her right eye. On random occasions, she will allow her lengthy, wavy hair to freely flow down her back; it has recently grown to be almost reaching her lower back. She has some pretty strong legs as she tends to run a lot but not because she feels she has to, just for enjoyment. Her light gray eyes have a tendency to resemble a bluish hue in the sunlight and are also one of her most attracting features.

Average Attire: Syd can usually be seen sporting a short sleeved gray and black striped sweater that she received not too long ago from her mother. She has two diamond earrings, one for each ear, though she usually only puts them in depending on how she feels. Syd has white khaki short shorts, but they aren't exactly too short; the shorts reach about halfway upon her legs. Her feet are covered by long black socks and green high-top converse shoes that never seem to want remain tied together. Before a battle, she may pull out a purple headband that doesn't exactly have much a purpose other than that the fact that she possibly considers it lucky.

Formal Wear: On special occasions or outings, Sydney dresses in a black pant suit with the black three inch high heels that she occasionally wears with her regular outfit. She has loop earrings that she always wears when going somewhere nice as somewhat of a "complement" to the rest of her attire. Most of the time, she will leave her somewhat curly hair down, and also positions a white flower into her hair, usually on the left side.

Cold out: When it is cold out, she usually wears her normal clothing in addition to a wooly gray jacket with a feathery hood. Sometimes, she may put on some blue jeans if it is absolutely too cold for her mostly bare legs to handle. She is very lazy about doing so though, and usually just tries to toughen up through the chilly winds and air.

    Fears:

    * Losing her family
    * Her hair getting cut off somehow

    Strengths:

    * Styling people's hair
    * Rock climbing
    * Sparring
    * Inventing

Dream: Sydney really just wants to say she has accomplished something big, which a lot of people aren't capable of proposing themselves. Her brother and her have a fierce rivalry, and she wants to be able to completely destroy him in battle when the time ever arises.

Personality: Sydney tends to have a "I don't care," attitude which deeply disturbs her parents; although technically only her mother as she
doesn't live with her father anymore. She is often described as a "rocker/punk chick" in which this description does pretty much fit her as a whole. She likes to style her hair in different ways yet most of the time it is seen with bangs in the front and the rest of her hair in a ponytail. She loves to meet people, although she may come off as a bit pushy at first. Syd can be a bit overly defensive and has problems telling when someone is joking around or being serious. She is overall a very down-to-earth person and loves to hang out and party or whatever, as well as being a person who one could have a very deep conversation with.

    History

    Family:

    * Mother; Jean McAllister - 40
    * Father; Dario Ackerman - 44
    * Half-Brother; Roman Tisdale - 17 [Sydney and Roman have the same mother]

Past: Sydney was born March 31st in Petalburg City and has lived there ever since her birth. She originally stayed with her father, mother and brother, yet it was found out many years after Roman's birth that their mother, Jean, had cheated on their (well, Sydney's) father, Dario, while they were together. So it is assumed that Roman and Sydney are actually half-siblings through their mother, but have different fathers. This caused quite a bit of disturbance between the family, and also led to Dario leaving the home after a huge argument with Jean. Sydney and Roman ultimately stayed with their mother since it was not known who Roman's actual father was, he figured it would be pointless to try and look for him since he could quite possibly be anywhere by now. A few months after this fiasco, Roman decided to finally go on his Pokemon journey, and stated that it was something he knew Sydney wouldn't be able to handle. Sydney was going to embark on hers as well, but felt that her mother would still need some help around the house and ultimately stayed. Well, at least until she received a special letter specifically for her.

    Other:

    * Sydney and Roman are half-siblings, but were born on the same day, a year apart from each other. For this reason, the two are considered Irish twins.

    Hair Color: Solid Black
    Eye Color: Sapphire
Hair Style: Long and clean "Emo" fringe at the front, short at the back.
    Weight: 62 KG

General Appearance: Standing at 5'9, Daniel is a well built teenage boy. His semi-long, clean, black hair hangs over his head, showing no signs of life... while his sapphire eyes glow passionately and compliment his lightly tanned skin.

Average Attire: Daniel's usual attire consists of a long sleeved black t-shirt under a striped jumper, coloured purple and black. A pair of tight black jeans, held up by a white belt with a colourful pattern on it. On his feet he wears new purple themed converse high-tops with bright white laces over black socks. To keep his hair under control he wears a white cap with a red, yellow and blue pattern on the front. It is worn at the back, standing up.

Formal Wear: Formal occasions are something Daniel dreads, he hates being separated from his natural dingy look and "Emo" clothing style. His normal attire is replaced by a black jacket worn over a thick plain white t-shirt and black dress pants, he keeps his purple converse high-tops and white cap, worn nearly upright, just to bring out his more rebellious side.

Cold out: During colder weather Daniel has been known to wear his usual clothing with a few changes. He swaps his striped jumper for a thick black hoody and he swaps his purple converse high-tops for a pair of old white Ugg boots that look as though they've never been worn.

Dream: Daniel hopes to one day be the best Pokémon Coordinator in the world.
Personality: Most people would describe Daniel as a bit odd and those people would be right. Daniel doesn't like acting like everyone else and has always been a bit different, he enjoys singing, shuffling, coordinating and acting like he doesn't give a damn. Although, he is also one of the most calm and collected people you'd ever meet.

What makes Daniel a lot different to all the other adolescent teenage boys out there is the fact that he doesn't spend his time chasing girls. He'd much rather just be himself and let the girls come to him, which doesn't happen all that much seeing as how unusual he is.

Past: Daniel was born in Vendanturf Town, where he lived for most of his life with his mother and older brother, Markus. As a young boy, Daniel enjoyed exploring his surroundings and often wandered off into Rusturf Tunnel he'd never get lost though, Daniel was much too smart for that to happen.

Daniel's mother wasn't like all the other mothers in Vendanturf Town, she was a bit of an outcast and often spent her time alone... either getting drunk or crying in her room.
Daniel and Markus tried not to worry too much about it and would usually just take care of themselves.

Once Markus was finally old enough he decided to go on his Pokemon Journey, which meant leaving Daniel with their unstable mother. Markus didn't want his younger brother to get hurt, so he made a few calls and got their grandparents to take care of Daniel while their mother got the help she needed.

So, Markus left to go on his Pokemon Journey and Daniel moved to Lavaridge Town to live with his grandparents. He spent the rest of his young life there and finally got the care he needed and deserved.

Other: Daniel's father left when he was born, so he has never met him and probably never will.

    Birth Name: Kelly Natasha Fey
Nickname: None, though some of her close friends occasionally call her 'Kell'
    Age: 14
    Gender: Female

    ~+ Appearance +~

Hair Color: Dark brown with copper streaks around the top
Eye Color: Blue-grey (closer to grey)
Hair Style: Layered, the longest layer being about mid-back length, razor cut, with uneven ends, and her bangs are cut unevenly as well, and are swept to one side across her forehead.
    Weight: 116 lbs.
General Appearance: Kelly is physically rather tall, standing at five feet, four and a half inches tall, and slender, weighing one hundred sixteen pounds, she also happens to have a small chest, much to her relief, as she doesn't attract a whole lot of attention. Her skin is pale, an alabaster cream color which never seems to tan, and is completely devoid of freckles or blemishes, to her puzzlement, although she is grateful for this. Kelly's hair is a light ginger blonde, and straight, and her eyes are a piercing blue grey, though rather pale. She looks like she would be a dancer, rather than the black belt in karate that she actually is.
Average Attire: Kelly normally wears a pair of black street pants with a small amount of white trim, especially down the sides, and which has several silver metal accents. Due to the design of the pants, they are slightly baggy, but just slightly, as they really fit her form rather nicely. Her t-shirt is light grey, with an intricate floral pattern that is made more noticeable by glitter and sequins sewn onto the pattern. Over this she wears a hot pink and black plaid zip up hooded jacket, and a black beret. On her feet she wears silver sequined Converse All-Star sneakers.
Formal Wear: Though not especially fond of attending parties, Kelly nevertheless does dress up for one. Her normal formal wear consists of a unique, strapless, gold dress which is shorter on one side, with a long flowing skirt on the other side. On her feet she wears delicate gold formal sandals with a thin, but rather low (1 inch) heel. The shoes slip on and off, and the top consists of two thin straps which crisscross and which are adorned with glitter. She also wears silver, dangly earrings, and a silver chain around her neck which compliments the earrings rather nicely.
Cold out: When the weather gets cold, Kelly wears warm, lace up boots with a faux fur lining, which keeps her feet warm, and which reach halfway up to her knees. Usually, this is enough to keep her warm, due to the fact that she really isn't bothered by the cold until temperatures reach to below freezing, in which case she adds another jacket, which is more insulated, but not bulky. She'll also wear a pair of pink, behind the head earmuffs, and black gloves, which still allow for a good deal of mobility, unlike the huge puffy kinds that render your fingers incapable of performing any delicate work with them.

    Dislikes:
-Unfrozen Green grapes (for unexplainable reasons)
-Being alone in a strange place, or being completely alone in general
-People who steal Pokémon to make a profit-People who mistreat their Pokémon
-People who care only about strong Pokémon, and don't see every Pokémon's potential

    Fears:
-Dark, abandoned places (alleyways, corridors, etc.)
-Losing her Pokémon-Losing any person she has grown close to
-Ominous signs (she's not really afraid of them, they just creep her out slightly)

    Strengths:
    -Black belt in karate
    -Intelligent
    -Strategic

Dream: Though Kelly is a decent battler, Pokémon coordination is really her passion, and she has wanted to be a great coordinator since she was young.

Personality: Loner might as well be Kelly's middle name, because she mostly grew up alone, without any friends, and though she had her family, they were usually busy. Therefore, she is a very independent person, who often can do things herself without the help or assistance of those around her, not that there are people around her all the time to help her with something. She also happens to be very determined and strong willed, even though she knows when something is hopeless or impossible, or when something can be accomplished. However, like any other person, she has trouble sometimes distinguishing right from wrong, and may occasionally chose 'Wrong,' rather than 'Right.' Aside from her being a lone wolf, Kelly is often rather kind and polite, though somewhat awkward around large groups of people, which she is unaccustomed to. When around people, Kelly tends to be shy and quiet, due to her not really knowing what to say or do. Lately, though, she's become a bit more outgoing, and a looser person, not staying in her own world all the time. Though there are many times when Kelly appears to be in dreamland, or drifting off above the clouds, she has a knack for knowing exactly what's going on, which is, in some people's eyes, rather unnerving and odd.

    Collin Fey, Father, Age 40
    Connor Fey, Brother, Age 12
Her Royal Highness Princess Ruby, Pet (Glameow), Age 5

Past: Kelly was born outside Fallarbor Town in the Hoenn Region, to Morgan and Collin Fey, where her parents were Pokémon Breeders and Therapists, and ran a sort of farm-ish thing, on which they took care of and worked with Pokémon, both breeding and taking care of them, as well as helping those who had suffered physical injury to recover. As their home, where they did all of this, was rather far from Fallarbor Town, Kelly pretty much grew up isolated, the only interaction she really had with others being when she attending her karate classes twice a week. However, due to her early life, she has had a lot of experience with Pokémon, and has helped her parents with working with them. As a result, she grew to love Pokémon, because when you grow up around them, a strong love for Pokémon is what's bound to develop. She had her first battle experience when she and a Houndoom she was working with were attacked by a flock of Spearrow, and though she won the battle, she wouldn't like to repeat the experience, even though she enjoyed the quick thinking and strategies that Pokémon battles required. However, she has always enjoyed attending a Pokémon Contests, and decided when she was 11 that Pokémon Coordination(?) was what she really wanted to do, and for the next three years she has held onto a dream of becoming a Pokémon Coordinator.

His parents were both pokemon breeders, people who raise and care for pokemon, so you can imagine their joy when their son showed in interest in pokemon breeding as well. He enjoyed working with Pokemon of all types, but has always loved the many evolved forms of eevee, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Flareon, Umbreon, Espeon, Leafeon, and Glaceon, and, after having his first taste of battling, which was a battle training test with his fathers Dragonite, he decided he wanted to be not only a breeder, but a pokemon trainer as well. As a kid, he was never the most popular person at school, because he didn't have every attribute that would make him the most popular person at school, but he had a lot of good friends, Despite the fact that he had a lot of friends, he has always thought that no one knew he was there.

    Chapter 1: Slateport City

    'Dear [Your Character's Name],
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann.

    Sincerely,
    '

You read the night before the day to meet the mysteries Professor Han. Too bad the name on the letter was unreadable; smudged. You are so excited about meeting Professor Hann. Or are you? The next day will be tough. You will have to make your way to Slateport City, which is far away in another region known as Hoenn. Once you get to Slateport you won't know what is going on. You wonder if meeting this 'Professor Hann' girl is some kind of trick. Is it? Maybe you think it is, and decide not to go… Then what will happen once you do meet Professor Hann? How will you get to the underwater laboratory of Professor Hann? What Pokemon will Professor Hann give you? What will she tell you? And most of all why can't you tell anyone? Hopefully most of your questions will be answered soon….

What to do on Chapter 1: Slateport City
Explain your character going to bed the night before, or the dreams your character had, or why your character couldn't fall asleep. Then explain them waking up, or finally seeing the sunrise signaling the start of the new day. Then talk about your characters journey to Slateport City. What does your character run into? Then end your post. [Remember, you don't have any Pokemon yet.]
Maximum posts for chapter one: 2; minimum posts for chapter one: 1.

  • It was a pretty basic day in Dom's life. He had already went through his usual morning routine and was currently enjoying the fresh Kanto air that surrounded him. He was sitting in an off-white wooden chair on the porch of his house. The beautiful melodies that resonated from his guitar mingled with the air.

A familiar faced passed by where Dom was playing. It was a young boy, about 7 years old, and he adored hearing Dom play.

"Hey mister Dom!" The boy shouted out with an ecstatic tone.

"Hello, Robby!" Dom said with a hearty grin covering his face.

"What are you playing today, mister Dom?" Robby said with curiosity filling his eyes.

"Just a little thing I'm working on." Dom replied while playing the chorus to his song.

Robby listened to the smooth tones in awe. He had never heard such amazing music before in his life.

"It's beautiful, mister Dom.." Robby said quietly, making sure his voice wasn't loud enough for him to miss part of the song.

Dom abruptly stopped playing when he saw the postal worker arrive. He got up out of the chair, which let out a terrible creak, and headed down the driveway towards the mailbox.

"Afternoon, Dom!" The postal worker said politely.

"Afternoon!" Dom replied with a wave.

He thumbed through the mail; not really expecting to see anything for him.

"Bills, Bills, Junk Mail. Ooh, Pokemon Magazine!" Dom said cheerily, rolling up the magazine and stuffing it in his back pocket.

"Wait a minute,..What is this?" Dom thought aloud while looking at the mysterious envelope adressed to him.

It was labeled "R&R/TT" and had no return adress. It seemed like your basic mail; White envelope, basic stamps, nothing fancy at all.

Dom curiously opened the letter and read its contents

    'Dear Domonic Santino,
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann. She lives in Slateport City, Hoenn. She has recently moved from Johto, and has built a new laboratory in Slateport. But the laboratory isn't normal. It is located underwater. You will need to report the Oceanic Museum located in East Slateport. There will be no need to pay admission. You are not to tell anyone about your visit to Professor Hann and you are not to tell anyone about this letter. Leave every one of you Pokemon behind. You will receive your Pokemon once you come to Slateport.

    Sincerely,'

The name was unreadable, sadly. Dom read the letter over a few times to make sure he was reading it right.

"I'm requested to go to Slateport?! That's all the way in another reigon!" Dom said, shocked at the contents of the letter.

"I'll have to get first thing tomorrow! I surely don't wan't to miss out on this opprotunity!" Dom said while running back inside.

He rushed into the kitchen, where the rest of his family was enjoying lunch.

"Mom! Dad! Look at this!" Dom shouted, practically shoving the paper in his parent's faces.

Dom's father grabbed the letter and read it over carefully.

"Well, this is obviouslysomething very important; Dom. Are you sure you're up to it?" His father said in a curious tone.

"Of course! Who knows what will go on there?! It could very well be my big break!" Dom shouted ecstatically.

"Who knows...That's exactly the problem..." Dom's mother said worridly.

"Now, honey, if Dom want's to go then it's his decision." His father interjected. "Now son, DO you want to go?"

Dom breathed a heavy sigh. "...Yes, I do!" He replied. "I'll make sure to keep in touch and everything!"

"Ok son. If that is what you want. I'll order you a ticket to board the S.S. Anne tomorrow. It will take you straight to Slateport." His father said.

"Thank you!" Dom shouted out. "Thank you so much!" It was then that he realized his mother was crying. He slowly walked over and gave her a hug.

"Don't worry mom, I'll be alright" He said reassuringly.

"Oh...I'll miss you so much!" She said with a sob.

"I promise I'll keep in touch." Dom said again as he let go of his mother. He then headed up to his room to pack and wait for nightfall. Also to wait for the start of a new day; and the start of a new chapter unfolding in his life.

  • 8:30 P.M.

It was a brisk and unusually chilly night. The sounds of all sorts of Pokemon could be heard in the night. It was already quite dark but the teenage girl of sixteen years found herself caught up in its starry beauty. She was named Sydney but was often called Syd by those who knew her well. Syd stared up into the night sky, thinking about what would come in the next day. She had received an invitation. It was a rather random invitation at that. It had seemed a bit suspicious but figured she had nothing to lose…well, hopefully anyways. The cold airy wind pricked against her face as she laid on the freshly cut grass; her long, dark brown wavy hair danced with the wind. She began to reach into her pocket again and took another glance at the letter that she had been given that afternoon.

    'Dear Sydney Ackerman,
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann. You are not to tell anyone about your visit to Professor Hann and you are not to tell anyone about this letter. Leave every one of you Pokemon behind. You will receive your Pokemon once you come to Slateport.

    Sincerely,
    '

For some reason, the name of the author had been smudged somehow, much to her dismay. She wondered why she, of all people, would be asked something that seemed gravely important. Maybe her mother, Jean, had informed this Professor Hann of her? Sydney thought this may have been the case, but eventually shrugged off the notion as her mother probably would have confided in her of what was going to happen. Jean probably didn't even have any knowledge of the situation in the first place, as Syd hadn't mentioned anything about it to her. She had been contemplating on what she should do. Should she actually go to this seemingly underwater laboratory? What if it was really some sort of scam? It would be best to ask her mother of her thoughts on the issue. With these thoughts still on her young mind, she decided to walk back into the mid-sized home that only composed of her and her mother now, as her brother, Roman, had already left on his journey a few months ago.

"Mm…something smells good…" Syd remarked as soon as she walked into the brightly lit home.

The house was filled with many different paintings. Jean had always loved art and sculptures, which definitely showed as the home had plenty of them. Syd especially liked the painting of her favorite rock band, which she had gotten on a vacation from one of the malls located in Lilycove City. It wasn't often that you would see a painting of a band, in addition to the band being one of your ultimate favorites, which Syd thought was a dream come true. Syd was always fascinated with music, and has tried on countless occasions to play her own instruments. She was moderately successful playing the drums, but had to quit because she was too busy with household chores. She finally approached the kitchen, in which her mother was also located. Jean was cooking some fried chicken with mashed potatoes to go along with it. Her mother was dressed in her normal light blue tank top with a blank skirt and black high heels. She wore her brown hair in a bun when she was cooking or doing some other type of chore, and sported some sparkly diamond earrings.

"Oh, hello sweetheart. Are you doing alright? Did you have fun outside with Melanie?" Jean questioned in her quiet, calming voice. Melanie was one of Syd's good friends.

"Well, Melanie wasn't home so I just decided to lay out and look up at the stars…I see you're making your good old fried chicken…again…" Syd divulged in a somewhat sarcastic sounding tone.

"Yeah…I haven't had much time to go out and do the grocery shopping. …Is something wrong, dear? You don't sound like your normal self. Did something happen?" Jean asked gently.

"No. I just…I have something to give you. I was going to tell you earlier, but…I just wanted to think on it myself first. To see what I thought on the matter." Syd replied as she handed Jean the opened envelope with the letter inside.

Jean took a long look at the letter. A very long look at it. After what seemed like half an hour, she looked back up at Syd and put her hand on her head while letting out a large sigh. She obviously didn't take Syd's choice of giving the letter to her so late, well.

"So…it took you this long to give something this important to me? When are you even leaving to go to this place? Slateport isn't as close as you may think." Jean affirmed her.

"Well…I think I'm going to go have to go tomorrow. Don't worry though, I'm going to go the other way to Slateport. You know, through Oldale Town, then Route 110…" Syd answered her, her voice got a bit quieter and a bit less confident sounding towards the end of her statement.

"…" Jean was at a loss for words and just rolled her eyes while turning back to the fried chicken and mashed potatoes that she had been cooking.

"I knew you'd understand! I'm just gonna…you know…go to my room now. And…pack!" Syd exclaimed with a weird looking smile on her face as she said that.

Jean just shook her head and walked over to the table to set it for dinner.

    @ Army - Great post.
    @ Christina - Also a great post

Grey watched as night slowly turned to day in the small town of Sangem, Sinnoh. He yearned badly for all of his musical instruments left at home: his piano, both of his saxophones (his alto and tenor), his violin, and harp. All he had been able to take was his small pennywhistle. He quietly blew a few tones into the small recorder-like instrument. Soon the shadows of the buildings around him grew larger and larger untill it was almost too dark for Grey to see. He got off of the step he was sitting on and once again went to look in the music store before it closed. Sparkling saxophones and dazzling flutes lined the neatly tiered shelves in their small cardboard boxes. He was in the woodwind isle, with the many single and double reed instruments. He continued walking and made it to the string isle. It was divided into two sections: plucked and bowed. He could see the large box which held a harp, and also the small box holding violins. Grey skipped over most of the percussion instruments, only stopping once to look at the piano with its beautiful white and black keys. He played a small tune before being yelled at by the store owner.

"Can't you read?" he asked angrily, "Anyways it is time to close!" the man pushed Grey out of the door. There was a Chatot sitting on the mans shoulder, and a Loudred at his side.

Grey was once again back in the cold darkness left by the sun. He finaly decided that it was time to go to the Pokecenter to find a place to sleep. He walked in to the red building and was greeted by an always cheerful Nurse Joy.

"Hello, how may I help you?" the nurse said.

"I just need a place to stay for a night or so,"

"Okay, please just sign in right here," she pushed a small clipboard onto the desk. He signed his name, Grey C. Rose, befor leaving for a room.

He soon found one and went inside. He looked at the clock which read 11:00. It was late, and he was tired. He quickly fell asleep. Soon he found himself on the floor with the sun shining into his eyes. He was wide awake soon, and immediately looked at the clock. Now it read 7:00. It was a quick night for Grey. He quickly made the bed, and started to leave when he saw a small white envelope. Writted on the envelope was , R&R/TT. Grey noticed no return adress, but opened it anyways. It was clearly for him, as it read:

    Dear Grey Christopher Rose,
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann.

    Sincerely,

Grey was unable to read the name which was signed, which was unfortunate.

Slateport, aye?, Grey thought, That is in Hoenn if I do believe... I must leave soon. Grey quickly gathered his things which wan't much: a backpack and a letter. He signed out of the PokeCenter, and went outside. Before he left for Slateport he went back to the music shop for one last look. He walked up to the old man and held up his pennywhistle.

"Is there anything that I can trade this for?" Grey asked.

The man put on his glasses and held it up about an inch from his nose. "Hmm..." he said, "Chatot, Loudred. How much would you say this is worth?" The Pokemon looked at the instrument.

"Chat, chat chat, tot!" said the musical bird.

"Loud, d drid!" the Loudred said.

The man cleaned off the mouthpiece and played a tune. The Pokemon jupmed in happyness, clearly glad with the music the instrument produced. The man again said 'Hmm' and went into the back. He came back with an old, greatly-used alto saxophone.

"I can give you this," he said, gesturing to the saxophone, "and also eighty dollars."

Grey brightened up. He quickly traded, then asked how much the saxophone was worth.

"Umm, I'd say around one hundred dollars."

"Okay, thanks!" Grey said rushing out the door. He quickly opened the saxophone case. He put the reed in the mouthpiece, the mouthpiece on the neck, and finaly the neck on the body. He attached the neckstrap and played a small, happy tune. Then he quickly put it up and went off to find a way to Slateport City.

  • The warm morning sun shone brightly through Daniel's open window, the heat woke him from his slumber and caused the thoughts of yet another boring day in Lavaridge Town fill his mind. He moaned as he rolled onto his back, his eyes half-open and staring dead at the ceiling, "I hate the morning..." he mumbled under his breath, before sliding out of bed and letting his feet hit the cold hardwood flooring in his room.

Daniel yawned and slowly dragged himself over to his dresser, which had his outfit for the day already sitting upon it. He scoffed quietly, his grandmother must have set it out for him... she knows what he likes to wear even if she hates it. He grabbed the clothing and exited his room, making his way down the hall and into the bathroom... closing the door behind him.

Fifteen minutes later, Daniel exited the bathroom and stretched... he was now washed and fully dressed for the day, save for one vital item. He briskly walked back into his room and grabbed his trademark white hat of off the side table next to his bed; he put it on and adjusted it before making his way downstairs.

In the kitchen, Daniel's grandparents were no-where to be seen... then he remembered, they had told him the night before that they were going to be spending the day at the hot springs. He shrugged and went about making breakfast, but something on the counter caught his attention. It was a letter addressed to him; on the front it read Rawltz & Rawltz Co. He had no idea who or what that was, so he just ripped it open and began to read.

    'Dear Daniel Lupe,
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann. She lives in Slateport City, Hoenn. She has recently moved from Johto, and has built a new laboratory in Slateport. Daniel was unable to make out who it was from, but that wasn't what Daniel was confused about... he had no idea who Professor Hann or what Rawltz & Rawltz Co. was. He folded up the letter and shoved it into his back pocket; there was nothing better to do in Lavaridge... so Daniel decided it would be "fun" to just check out Slateport. He'd been there once or twice before, but never for something so... secretive.

The teenage boy packed up a few things into a white messenger's bag; he slung it over the shoulder and left the house, making sure to lock up after him. He didn't think to leave a note for his grandparents; he couldn't be gone for that long... right?

OOC: Short-ish post. I didn't want to write too much as this is just an introduction.

  • Silence. No hectic travelers, no Pokemon battles, nothing. There was no movement except for the wind shaping the grass and waves. The calm area of the Dragon's Den benefitted the girl well. She sat up and noticed the blue-haired figure emerge from the small path's darkness. The blue-haired figure, a woman, perhaps, walked up to the girl.

"By any chance you wouldn't happen to be Gale Sapphire, would you now?" she asked in a stern tone. The girl, Gale, realized that she was talking to Clair, gym leader of Blackthorn City and sister to Lance, the acclaimed "Dragon Master". She stood up and nodded quietly.

"I am, I am," she muttered. Clair then reached into her pocket and pulled out what seemed to be an envelope.

"For you," she said quietly, shoving the letter in Gale's hands. She walked away silently, leaving Gale by herself. Gale ripped the envelope open with her teeth and took out what seemed to be a neatly written letter, except for a smudge.

    "'Dear Gale Sapphire,
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann. She lives in Slateport City, Hoenn. She has recently moved from Johto, and has built a new laboratory in Slateport. ?" Gale read. "Oh, wonder who sent it. But... Slateport? Hoenn? I've never heard of either. But from the sound of it, I can travel by ship... But I don't have a ticket..." She looked around the Dragon's Den, then sneaked inside the nearby building, where some sages (or maybe they were monks) practiced some sort of meditation. Looking around for the slightest bit of paper, Gale had no luck whatsoever. Deciding that she'd have to leave the dark, moist terrain of the den, she calmly exited through the path leading to the den and into the light.

Oh, how it burned! It had been so long since Gale had last emerged from the Dragon's Den. She had liked its soothing, yet haunting silence, and how there was seldom movement. But she had to go to Slateport, just to find out what was going on. She noticed a man with spiky red hair enter what she believed to be the Blackthorn gym. Following after this man, Gale went inside. At once she felt a sudden blast of heat, and all around her was magma, popping and flowing. Shuddering, Gale continued further into the building, where she then tripped and fell right into the middle of two people.

"Well now, what do we have here?" the spiky-haired man said. "Perhaps another challenger, Clair?" Gale shook her head.

"Forgive me, Lance (I assume I'm right?), Clair, but I just happened to notice you [Lance] enter this building. I'm really sorry, but... I just wanted to know if any of you had tickets for the S.S. Aqua!" Gale sputtered out the last sentence. The two siblings looked at each other, then laughed.

"My girl, of COURSE we have tickets! After all, we ARE the greatest, are we not sister?" Clair nodded and smiled. Egotists... Gale thought. Lance then reached into a small pouch dangling from his pocket and pulled out a crumpled up ticket. "The ship leaves today in Olivine, so you better not be late!" Gale took the ticket and sighed.

"Thanks. I'll have to find a way to get there, though..." Clair smiled again.

"Come on out, Dragonite!" Clair shouted. A large yellow dragon-like Pokemon appeared, and Gale gawked at its magnificent stature.

"Dragonite, take this young girl to Olivine." The Dragonite nodded, and immediately picked up Gale with its small hands.

"W-w-wait!" Gale called as the Dragonite began exiting the building slowly. "Are you sure this is alright?"

"Don't worry," Clair stated from below. "Dragonite will only carry you there, then drop you carefully onto the ground, then fly back here. He will make sure no harm comes to you. Happy sailing!" Out the door and into the clear blue sky. What more could happen today? Gale asked herself.

Sorry it took so long for me to get my post up, I won't bother with an explanation because it's up now, so, all good?

    ~+ In Character +~

The night outside Fallarbor Town was cool, the moon and stars obscured by the clouds that so frequently hung over the area, volcanic ash rained slowly down from the sky, due to the town being in close proximity to Mt. Chimney, an active volcano, which constantly spewed volcanic ash and steam, though it has not been known to have erupted, at least, not in any records. There were few houses in this area, though in a particular one, in the privacy of her bedroom, a perplexed girl by the name of Kelly Natasha Fey was reading a strange letter that had been sent in an envelope on which was printed only her address, with no return address or any other writing.

    Dear Kelly Natasha Fey,
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann. She lives in SlateportCity, Hoenn. She has recently moved from Johto, and has built a new laboratory in Slateport. But the laboratory isn't normal. It is located underwater. You will need to report the OceanicMuseum located in East Slateport. There will be no need to pay admission. You will receive your Pokemon once you come to Slateport.

    Sincerely,

Kelly squinted at the page, there might have been a name there, but it was horribly smudged and impossible to read, this was her second time reading the letter. She had to admit that the letter creeped her out somewhat. She had no clue who had sent it to her, and she was pretty sure she hadn't met them before, and here she was with a letter sent from someone she didn't know and has never met. Peculiar to say the least. However, along with her misgivings, she felt some excitement, she had wanted to become a trainer, this could be her chance. She knew her parents had already seen the letter prior to them giving it to her for her to read. Afterward, after her parents had decided that she could, indeed, go to Slateport to meet Professor Hanns, she had packed her belongings into a bag and was prepared to leave the following morning.

However, she didn't really want to think about all of this right now, and flopped down limply upon the covers of her bed, knowing that this may very well be her last night sleeping in it for quite some time. Crawling in under the covers, she pulled them up to her chin and curled up. In moments, her breathing slowed down somewhat, and became deeper and more peaceful, and she drifted off from reality into a restful sleep.

All too soon, it seemed that it was time to wake up, and as she opened her eyes she saw that sunlight was streaming in through her window. Kelly laughed upon seeing the sparkling golden rays, more often than not, the sky was grey with volcanic ash, which rained down like snow. For a brief moment today, though, the sun would shine. She guessed she wasn't the only one, for she could hear the pleasantly surprised exclamations of her mother, probably commenting on the unusual moment when the sun actually shone above FallarborTown.

Breakfast and goodbyes were far from the usual, in fact, the breakfast was unusually long, and Kelly wondered if it was ever going to end, fearing she might miss the bus that would take her to MauvilleCity, so that she could board the next bus that would take her to Slateport. However, it wasn't that the breakfast was taking forever, it was the clock seemed to be moving more slowly than normal, and Kelly found herself, more than once, glancing anxiously at the slowly ticking hand of the clock. Finally, she slung her backpack over her shoulder, and after a series of hugs and an exchange of words with her family, stepped out of the house, waving at her mother and father as they seemed to grow smaller and smaller.

In fifteen minutes, she had arrived at the bus stop, where she should be catching her bus, surely enough, five to seven minutes later, a blue and white bus pulled to a stop. It was rather small for a bus, and on its side, written in cursive, but decipherable, lettering, were the words, Earthen Comfort Travel. Strange name, was Kelly's first thought, but if Comfort Travel, were part of the name, then surely they wouldn't have those horrible plastic seats. That was actually a good thing, though to double check before she got on the bus, she gazed at the digital sign on it, which spelled out in large, green lettering, MauvilleCity. So it was this bus after all, and she followed the other passengers, or rather, the other passenger, as there was only one person boarding, onto the bus. Into a modern looking aluminum, or maybe it was stainless steel container she dropped the bus fare, and then chose a seat on the bus. Comfort Travel really did live up to its name, she noticed, staring around at the pale tan seats, all of which were cushioned and roomy enough, and bigger than those of the normal buses. With a noise much like someone exhaling, the bus began to move, slowly at first, though it soon picked up speed. Kelly gazed out of the window, a feeling of exhilaration spreading through her, causing her to smile involuntarily. Today was the day that she became a Pokemon Trainer, somehow, she couldn't let that thought go...

  • The day started out bright yet fair. She didn't have any money to buy her own bus ticket to Slateport City, and she knew her mother likely didn't want her to leave, but refused to admit it. After saying her goodbyes, she started the long tread to Slateport City. The letter specifically said to be at the laboratory at 7:00 PM, which would be next to impossible walking on foot. She started to lose faith in her making it to Slateport now, as it was already almost 9 in the morning, and it would take an hour or so to get just to Oldale Town. As she began to turn back, an idea suddenly sparked in her head.

+ I could use my bicycle! + Syd mused, as she started to make a run back towards her house.

Syd was a pretty fast runner and participated in tons of marathons that were held in Petalburg City. She never won, but she did come close to winning one year when she was around the age of 13. Running wasn't really a priority for her, just a hobby. Her legs were very muscular and toned because of it though. She finally neared her home, and noticed her mother working alone in the front lawn, trimming the bushes.

"What are you doing back? You need to hurry. Slateport City isn't exactly minutes away you know." Jean remarked, almost sounding a bit cynical to Sydney.

"No time, I've got to hurry. Slateport City isn't exactly minutes away you know!" Syd subconsciously responded, quickly grabbing her bike that was still perched on the side of the house. "Bye mom!"

"…goodbye dear…" Jean responded in a saddened tone.

    ___

    4:00 PM.

The sun was still beaming high above her as she quickly raced towards Slateport City, not once making a stop to take a break, not even to eat, though occasionally she did ride with one hand and drink a bottle of water with the other. She passed Oldale Town a few hours ago, and was halfway to Slateport City now. She was no doubt getting tired but knew that if she stopped now, she wouldn't be able to start back up again. Her goal was to get there by 6:00 PM, if not earlier. It wouldn't be too much longer, she reassured herself.

"You can do it, Sydney, you can do it…" She uttered in between strong bouts of panting.

As she continued to move her legs down upon the pedals of the bike, she began to have flashbacks of her older brother, Roman, and his ruthless, hurtful taunting. He had left only a few months before, and it is assumed that he is already near Lavaridge Town, attempting to defeat the gym leader, Flannery as that was where he was last located when she last spoke with him a week or so ago. Roman always doubted Syd's abilities as a possible future trainer, stating that she wouldn't be able to handle the "manly outdoors," like he supposedly would. Sydney vowed to defeat him in battle one day when she acquired Pokemon of her own and was actually tough enough to take him on. She was excited to finally receive her first Pokemon, something she should have done 6 years ago but missed out on the opportunity numerous times before.

"I…I can't… do it…I can't go on anymore…" She muttered rather dramatically, and fell off her bike in front of a large arch that read, "Slateport City."

She laid there for a few minutes until she finally opened her tired looking eyes once more and acknowledged that she had at last made it to Slateport City. It was 5:30 PM now, about a half an hour before her goal of 6:00 PM. After so much pedaling, she definitely deserved some rest and relaxation. Right now though, she had to locate the Oceanic Museum.

"Hm… the Oceanic Museum…in East Slateport. So I must be sort of close by then since I came in from the north end. Maybe I'll ask this old lady." Syd suggested to herself as she walked towards an old woman sitting on a bench.

"Ooh, look, a Pelipper! Do you want some bread, Pelipper?" The old lady asked as she looked over to where Sydney stood.

"Uh…I'm not a Pelipper. I just wanted to know where the Oceanic Museum is." Syd asked with a disturbed look that crossed her face.

"It's right over there, to our left, Mr. Pelipper. Here's some bread for you to eat too!" The elderly woman replied while throwing some bread on the ground.

Sydney sighed and just walked over towards the Oceanic Museum with the letter still clenched tightly in her hands.

  • The morning came faster than Dom expected. The shimmering rays of light from the sun beamed down onto Dom, who was still asleep in his bed. The sunlight made him stir slightly; he awoke after several moments of stirring.

Dom slowly opened his sleep worn eyes and peered at the clock that lay next to his bed. The fluorescent green numbers read a clear 8:30 AM.

Dom rubbed his eyes and slowly inched out of bed. As his feet hit the ground he paused a moment to stretch his sleepy limbs.

He then stood up and made his way to the bathroom. The room was hot and steamy; his mother had probably just gotten out of the shower. Dom wiped the condensation off the mirror and grabbed his toothbrush. He watched himself in the mirror as he brushed. He was thinking. Thinking about what today's mysteries would bring.

After the hygenical part of his morning, Dom headed down the wooden staircase and into the kitchen. By this time he was fully awake, and ready to begin his journey to Slateport.

He hastily made himself a bowl of cereal and scarfed it down quicker than he made it. He then bolted back upstairs and into his room. He grabbed his ticket, guitar and backpack and was ready to shove off.

But before he did, he walked into his parents' room and approached his mother. He gave her a tight hug and gave his goodbye. His father extended his hand for a hand shake; but instead got a hug from his son. He gave another farewell and told his parents he loved them. It was then that he could finally begin his journey.

Dom exited his house and took in a big breath of fresh air. He gave the noble purple town one final glance as he made his way to Vermillion.

Lavender to Vermillion wasn't that much of a journey. About 15 minutes, tops. Dom sprinted as fast as he could through the gates to Saffron and headed south towards the Saffron/Vermillion gate.

As he passed through into the bright city he saw many things that caught his eye. But now was not a time for distraction; he had a boat to catch!

The shipyard was big and smelled of Remoraid and Krabby. Dom made his way to the cruise liner; the S.S.Anne. He flashed his ticket and boarded the boat.

"Room 128...128..." Dom muttered. He was in search of his room on the ship.

"Aha! Found it!" He stated with a triumphant tone. He opened the door and threw his backpack to the ground.

There wasn't much to the room; a bed, dresser, trash can, a loudspeaker in the corner and a window. Dom sat on the bed and began to feel the motion of the ocean.

"Ugh..*gag* I..don't feel so good..." Dom muttered as he swayed with the rocking of the ship.

It wasn't long before the seasickness sat in and Dom vomited into the trash can.

"Ugh...Just wonderful..." He said while he stuck a piece of gum into his mouth; to rid of the taste and smell of vomit.

"Maybe if I try to get some sleep..." He muttered as he tried to venture into sleep.

    ...
    ~*6:15 PM*~
    ...

Dom actually managed to drift away the rest of the cruise in his dreams. After an enjoyable nap, an unexpected announcement from the loudspeaker awoke Dom.

"We have reached our destination in SlateportCity! Thank you for traveling on the S.S.Anne!"

Dom bolted up from the shock of the announcement. He quickly grabbed his belongings and ventured out into the foreign land of Hoenn.

The ship had docked near the middle of the right side of the bustling city. Dom stood for a moment in awe at the new experience. He quickly snapped out of it and remembered the task at hand.

He looked around for anything that could be the museum. It was then that he noticed, about 50 yards away, a sign that read:

    SlateportCity Oceanic Museum

He quickly sprinted in that direction and arrived at the museum in a flash. He noticed another person standing there. A girl, about his age. She was dressed in practically the same attire Dom was in, color wise. Dom assumed she was here to visit the museum; as he didn't think it at all possible that she had also received the very same letter he had.

Dom realized he had another 40 or so minutes to wait; so he sat down against the museum and pulled out the letter and put it in his lap, for safe keeping. He then swung his guitar around to the front of his body and played a soft tune to pass the time.

This would be the longest 40 minutes of Dom's life...

  • It took a quick 15 minutes to reach the S.S. Aqua, then about three hours or so to get to Slateport. Upon arriving, Gale noticed the many men staring at her, awestruck. She groaned and walked off, pretending that she didn't notice any of them. I'm glad I'm not 18 yet, she thought, else I'd probably be raped in my first night out in society. As she exited the building, she noticed some festival-like music playing, and she assumed they probably weren't going to hold a festival. If they were, the boat probably would've been more packed. Aside from the music, Gale noticed a marketplace just southwest of where she had came from. She figured it'd be best to go there until further notice.

The marketplace was quite full of people, but Gale didn't mind; it didn't make her (not to mention her chest) conspicuous. Looking around, she heard a vendor call out "Accessories! Get 'cher nice accessories for yer Pokemans!" Eager to see what the pitiful merchant was selling, Gale walked on over to his table and looked at the items he had laid out. She immediately noticed a set of thick gold bangles, each embedded with rubies all around. She picked them up and examined them carefully. Sure enough, they were real. The merchant looked at her with a curious look, and Gale returned the gaze.

"So, you have yer eye on those bangles, eh?" he asked Gale. "Well, pretty miss, I'll let 'cha know somethin'. That there happens to be a set of Power Lenses. Yes, yes, you may have seen 'em purple an' blue, but I'll tell ya this: This rare pair was used by a king long ago. He used them to increase 'is power, and I tell ya, 'is power was mighty raised! So, whaddaya say? Fer a pretty gal like you, they're free!" Awestruck, Gale thanked the man and continued to look at the items. "Now, y'all just tell me if ya want any more items!" he exclaimed, turning to his next set of customers.

Continuing to look at the items, Gale then noticed what seemed to be a metronome. Under it was a label saying "Metronome: It raises the power of a move if that move is used consecutively." Gale picked it up, and immediately the merchant motioned to her, also applying the fact that it was free. Smiling, she put the items into her pockets, and walked off to another stand.

This stand seemed to have all sorts of knick-knacks regarding Slateport. Overall, nothing seemed to be of interest... Except there was this beautiful yet strangely-designed ocarina-like instrument just sitting there. Figuring she could use the metronome to practice with it, Gale walked up to the vendor, an elderly lady this time.

"Excuse me," she asked, "but how much is that ocarina-like instrument over there?" She pointed at the object, and immediately the woman's eyes grew large.

"Ah, you have an interest in the Azure Flute, eh? Well, I hate to disappoint ya, but it is an ancient artifact, and although I'm selling it for cheap, you can only use the item for its true purpose on a carving in Mt. Coronet, which is located in Sinnoh." Gale had no clue where Sinnoh was, but didn't care whatsoever if it held a special purpose or not.

"Well, then how much is it? I don't care if I can use it for its real purpose or not, just as long as I can please people with its beautiful music." The lady smiled at her, and held up five fingers.

"5000 yen will do, thank you," she replied. Gale immediately dove into one of her other pockets and pulled out a purse containing money she had found on the ground in the Dragon's Den and on the S.S. Aqua. Sure enough, she had over 10000 yen, and handed half of it to the woman. The woman then carefully handed her the flute, and Gale waved a "goodbye" to her and continued on.

The final stop of the day for Gale was the beach. Being able to see such tranquil waters was all Gale wished to do. When she arrived, it wasn't crowded like she had expected, but still had its share of people. Sitting down on one of the towels and umbrellas conveniently placed for anyone's use, she stared at the quiet waters. The waves moved calmly back and forth, a motion she wasn't used to seeing, as the Dragon's Den's water didn't move as fast, though it had its share of whirlpools. Sighing, Gale doze off, for she was worn out from her hectic day...

(Just FYI, the Power Lenses are real; the vendor is telling the truth except for the king part; they were actually designed to be made in different colors by the creators. As you may know, a Power Lens lowers the Pokemon's Speed, but raises their Sp. Atk., which will come in handy with Terra, as her lacking stat is Sp. Atk. Gale will also use them as an accessory for contests. Just one final note, the Azure Flute, or the "Heaven's Pipe", the tool used to summon Arceus, will only be used as a musical instrument. Gale will in no way call Arceus, especially seeing how she is in Hoenn and not Sinnoh X_X If you want me to change any of this, let me know.

And I understand she does not have a Pokemon yet, but she chose the lenses for FASHION. Since she likes shiny things =P and as for the Metronome and Azure Flute, she likes making music, and thus both will come in handy.)

    ~+ Out of Character +~
Okay, I'm back, sorry about the wait. I hope my post will at least make up for it. I'm really sorry about keeping everyone waiting.

    ~+ In Character +~

The blue and white bus groaned and screeched as it came to a stop at the next bus stop, about twenty minutes into the journey. Though her head was spinning with a whirl of thoughts that entered and left her mind at random intervals, Kelly still sat relaxed, but alert in her seat. Her limbs ached with a desire to get up and do something, though she ignored the impulse and sat as still as ever. In fact, it was quite difficult to tell whether she was breathing or not.

Passengers exited and entered the cool, air conditioned interior of the bus, though Kelly stubbornly ignored each and every one of them, save for a young woman with dark shades and a dark brown trenchcoat did stir her curiosity and interest. It was mainly her appearance, which was, in itself, almost exactly alike to a character in a mystery movie that she had watched some time ago. However, even then, she only glanced briefly at the person with a blank look upon her face before turning her face, devoid of any expression, back towards the window, staring at the scenery outside, though not quite taking it in.

Kelly had always been a thinker, able to sit still for long intervals of time without needing to get up and do something, yet occasionally, there were times when she felt especially restless, and would be forced to restrain herself from leaping out of her seat and running three or so laps across the room she happened to be in, or doing jumping jacks for two minutes to shake the restlessness out of her body. This happened to be one of the days where she was extremely restless, just the day, too, she had thought over and over again in a tone of irritated sarcasm, the day that she had to sit through a four or so hour journey to Slateport City. Finally, she felt that she could bear it no longer, and as the bus once again pulled to a stop in a bustling, wide awake town, she stood up, walked to the front of the bus, and returned to her seat, settling down. No one seemed to have taken the slightest notice of her, though that was just fine, in her opinion, not being much of an attention lover.

    ---+---+---+---+---

The sun was blazing high in the sky as the bus pulled into Slateport City with a screeching of tires. A small sigh escaped Kelly's only slightly parted lips as she stood, slinging her bag carelessly over her shoulder, and nearly bumping into a rather rotund woman in a pink, flowery dress, with skirts that brushed her ankles, as she exited the bus. Unlike in Fallarbor Town, the citizens of Slateport seemed to be accustomed to the sunshine, for there were no exclaimations of surprise, no laughs of delight at the sight of the bright rays glistening off of the crystalline waters of the sea that was just visable from where the bus station-thing was.

Warm air brushed Kelly's skin lightly as she stepped out from under the roof of the bus station into the open air and sunshine. She lifted her face to the sky and spread her arms, careful not to bump into anybody. Though she knew her behavior must be attracting strange looks, especially from the long term residents of Slateport City, she didn't care at the moment. For them, sunshine was a normal thing, for her, it was a wonder and something that was deserving of a bright exclamation and a light laugh. Either that, or it was just her.

Kelly glanced around. After the initial excitement of finally arriving in Slateport, she wasn't quite sure where she was to go. Maybe I'll just go where everyone else is going. She decided at last, after a few moments of thinking, there seemed to be a large group of people heading for the center of the city, makes sense, she would go to the center of the city as well.

"Ah..." A sharp intake of breath as she saw the bustling marketplace, set in a large, roomy square in the center of the city. However, the sight that next greeted her eyes was even more marvelous than her first glimpse of the Slateport marketplace. It was a violin, make of beautifully carved maple, with a one piece pack, and covered with a translucent varnish. She didn't know how she could recognize this all from one glance, though it was on a stand, making it easy to see the details, and she had so often visited the stringed instrument shop a short walk away from her house. Shame that it would be too large for her to carry, especially along with the case. These restrictions still did not stop her for asking for a look at the instrument. She cradled it in her arms, gazing longingly at it all the while, before thanking the man who had shown it to her profusely and returning it to the stall owner with a wistful look in her eyes.

Well, the marketplace was all very nice and bright and everything, but it really wasn't what Kelly wanted to find. She was more interested in who Professor Hann was, and as she sat down on a bench, pulled out her letter, rereading it with a familiar puzzled look that crossed her face briefly, darkening its features before it returned to its normal state. Her brow was furrowed just slightly with curiousity as she folded the letter neatly into a four by four inch square, which she then tucked quickly back into her pocket, pulling her legs up and curling up into a ball on the bench, quite out of sight of everyone else.

Grey looked at his map of the Pokemon World on his old, worn out PokeDex. Up at the top were Kanto and Johto, right next to each other. To the left of Kanto was Orre, and the right of Johto was Fiore and Almia. At the bottom were Hoenn, the Sevii Islands, and Sinnoh. Once Grey located Sandgem Town on the Sinnoh section of the map, he traced out a line of how he could get to Slateport. He already could tell that it would be a long journey. Grey put up the map, and started walking to the small beach south of Sandgem. He had called a friend earlier to come with his boat so he could have a form of transportation.

    "Hey," Grey said.

"Hey! Long time no see!" said his friend, named Walt. "You know I wont be able to get you all the way to Slateport in this hunk of junk!"

    "Yeah, I know," Grey said.

"Hop in, if you're ready," he said as Grey jumped into the small boat.

"Tell me again why you need to get to Slateport?"

    "Uhh, family thing,"

"Sure..." Walt said as he turned on the engine. "Off we go!"

What Grey figured was a few hours later, they finally reached Three Island. The two walked onto the deck, and into the small town. Walt had already hooked his small boat onto the slightly larger one that would take them to Cinnabar Island. After stretching their legs, they boarded the larger boat. Grey soon found himself asleep. He didn't have many dreams as he never does. Soon they had made it to Cinnabar Island and were greeted by Blaine.

"Hello!" he said in a crackly voice, "Its been so long since someone from a different region came! Sinnoh, aye?"

"Yup," said Grey and Walt, in unison.

"Any Pokemon?" said the excied gym leader.

"Sorry, no. But I think Walt might have some," Grey said.

"Yup, but I'm sure they are no match to yours." Walt said.

"Naw, don't say that they just need more practice!" Blaine said.

"I guess, well I think we have to be leaving soon. Grey here has to be at Slateport for a 'family thing'," Walt said.

"Ahh, then. Well you'll be off!" Blaine said as the two walked away.

The two walked to the same boat that had brought them. They would have to pay extra though, because they were getting the boat off the normal route.

"To Slateport, please!" Walt said, handing the 'captian' a wad of money. Once again on the boat, Grey fell asleep again. Once Walt could see Hoenn on the horizon, he woke Grey.

    "Almost there," he said.

"Good, I guess," Grey said nodding off again. Before Grey knew it they were in the Slateport docks. Grey was wide awake, and ran to the Oceanic Museam. He burst in and said, "Sorry I'm late!"

    OOC: rushed and terrible post...
