  • Wes woke late that morning, he hadn't slept well after the last nights thunderstorm which kept him up rather late. Wes went downstairs and thought out what he should do over the wekend. But, as usual of course, he could not think of anything to do. He went into the kitchen and had some jam on toast for breakfast then cleared up and watched some television.
Once Wes' show had ended he left to go out to the light house and spend some time alone and watch the battles raging on in the ocean outside Sunnyshore City.
As he went outside, grabbed the newspaper from out of the letterbox, but as he did, another item fell out, a letter in fact. Wes read the address, he couldn't make out what it said and assumed that the letter box had a leak and the letter had gotten wet after last nights storm. But this couldn't have been the case, as the newspaper seemed perfectly dry.

Wes went back inside and opened the letter, it read.

    Dear Wes Christy,
You have been invited to the lab of Professor Hann. She lives in Slateport City, Hoenn. She has recently moved from Johto, and has built a new laboratory in Slateport. But the laboratory isn't normal. It is located underwater. You will need to report the Oceanic Museum located in East Slateport. There will be no need to pay admission. We will immediately take you to your first destination. You must be there at strictly 7:00 PM. We do not appreciate or tolerate latecomers. Once there, we will all leave for the Laboratory of Professor Hann. There you will receive your first Pokemon, which has been carefully chosen by Hann. Then, Hann and I will explain to you everything that is happening and why. Then, just as quickly as you came, you will leave. You are not to tell anyone about your visit to Professor Hann and you are not to tell anyone about this letter. Leave every one of you Pokemon behind. You will receive your Pokemon once you come to Slateport.

    Sincerely,

Wes could not make out the name on the letter.

Wes thought to himself, 'Who would be writing to me? I don't have any contacts outside Sunnyshore City, let alone outside Sinnoh. How do these people know me? Who is Professor Han?'

'Maybe I should tell Volkner, he might be able to make some sense out of it' he thought.

But as Wes read through the letter again, he noticed it specifically told not to tell anybody.

'Whoever these people are, they obviously aren't the people to mess around with.' Wes thought

Wes decided that he would make a few calls today and try to figure out how he would manage to get to Slateport.

After many hours calling around, he found a man named Mr Reilly who would be able to get him to Sootopolis City in Hoenn, and from there he could buy a ticket to get a submarine to Slateport.

Wes hardly slept that night, in fact Wes was surprised he slept at all, he had so much on his mind, so many questions, like.

'What if it's a trap and these people want me dead, for whatever reason they have?'
'What if Mr Reily can't get me there, will they come for me?'

    Just to name a few.

Finally, at 3 AM he managed to get his eyes shut and drift off to sleep...

  • OOC~ Wow... did I write all this?

    IC~
Wes woke very early that morning, he had been having nightmares all night. He tried to remember the dream he had been haven't but couldn't really work it out, though he remembered a shady and quite bulky man had something to do with it. He went down to the kitchen and made his breakfast, and as he sat down to the table, he saw and remembered the letter, and that he had to make his way to Slate port City by the end of the day.

Wes quickly ate his breakfast and pulled o some clothes, he wore a pair of old jeans and one of his new t-shirts with Pink & Blue diagonal stripes across it.

'If I'm going to die, I might as well be comfortable.' thought Wes.

He quickly regretted thinking that, as it scared him a lot to think what these people could be up to.
He left the house at 8 AM, very tired and scared.
He left to go meet Volkner at the GYM, as Volkner was going to accompany him along Route 222, to make sure no harm came to him, or at least for now...

'When Wes arrived at the GYM he noticed that it wasn't even open yet. Wes decided that he should wait for Volkner rather than attempt the journey along Route 222 alone.

After about 10 minutes of waiting, Volkner arrived at the Sunnyshore GYM.

'Well, aren't you an early bird eh?' Volkner said jokingly.

'Oh, Yeah I guess so...' said Wes.

'So can I ask, why are you heading over to Slateport Wes?' asked Volkner.

'Oh umm... I'm heading over there to stay with my cousins for a while.' lied Wes.

'I see. Well, I'll just pop inside for a moment to gather some stuff, then we can head of ok?' said Volkner.

    'Sure thing' said Wes.

Volkner opened up the GYM and turned on the huge floodlights to display a huge maze of electrical switches and wires.
Wes had seen it before, but not when it was empty, there were usually battles raging on whilst Wes was there, when it was empty it seemed so much bigger.

Volkner came back out a minute later, and after him came his prized Electivire.

'I assume your ok with ol' Vire coming long with us?' Volkner said.

'How could I not be?' said Wes jokingly.
After all Wes was very glad Volkner had chosen Electivire to accompany them, Electivire would just shrug off anything that tried to stop them.

So Wes and Volkner set off to the Sunnyshore Gate and out onto Route 222.

Wes came out of the gate nervously, as he saw many trainers eyeing him.

'Hey you! Skinny!' said a very large man, Wes presumed that he was on of the local Sailors.
Wes despised the Sailors, for their huge ego's and their macho man attitude.

'You a trainer skinny?' asked the large Sailor.

'Err umm...' Wes didn't know what to say, he was scared. SO much in fact he was thinking twice about going to Slateport.

'What say we have a battle right here Skinny!' said the Sailor boomingly, as if to gain everybody's attention.

And gain attention he did, everybody was staring at Wes.

    'I - I'm not a trainer' said Wes nervously.

    'Well then' said the Sailor.

The Sailor had a chuckle to one of the fisherman that was sitting a few meters away from him.
The Sailor turned back to Wes, he then brought out his obviously prized Pokemon.

He sent out a Machamp, which Wes was terrified of.

Although terrified, Wes did all that he could think to do - he insulted the sailor.

'So who weighs more? Your Machamp or You?' said Wes, and he quickly regretted it, as the Sailor got very angry and his Machamp started to advance on him.

Luckily at that moment, Volkner came out of the gate, though Wes didn't notice. as he couldn't even see the sun past the huge Machamp.

Machamp raised his arms in the air, as if ready to strike Wes. But at that moment a huge bolt of lightning struck Machamp and it fell to the ground, just in front of Wes.

'What! Who the hell was that?' boomed the sailor angrily.

'Oh sorry, I could have sworn that your Machamp was about to attack an innocent young man.' said Volkner smoothly.

'Hey, wait - grr, the little punk insulted me!' said the Sailor angrily.

'Hey what? Thats not true' said Wes. 'I simply asked him a question regarding him and his Pokemon, it's not my fault if he took offense to it.'

'Sir, if you will please leave this area quietly and calmly, Electivire won't have to cause any more damage to your Pokemon.' said Volkner in a very stern and serious way.

The sailor left Route 222 angrily, muttering something under his breath as he did so.

'Sorry about that Wes.' said Volkner
'I had a call from Flint which I had to take.'

'Thats ok' said Wes. 'But can we get a move on, I have to be in Slateport by tonight.

For a while Wes and Volkner didn't talk, until they reached the beach where Wes was meeting Mr Reily.

'Well good luck on your journey.' said Volkner. 'I have to go though, there will be people piling up outside the GYM waiting to battle, and they aren't exactly going to be getting happier by the minute.'

'Sure, I should be fine from here anyway.' Said Wes.

Volkner left the beach at a brisk walk with Electivire by his side.

Wes, turned around to face the ocean, he couldn't see anybody around.
Then just as he thought he had been abandoned, he saw the sand a few meters away from him, start to rapidly move away from the area.
Wes turned and looked into the sky, just in time to catch a glimpse of a huge Pidgeot fly past him and hit the ground.

'Hello there!' beamed the the man riding the Pidgeot.
'You must be Wes! Happy to meet you, I'm Mr Reily.'

'Oh, hello, nice to meet you too.' said Wes

'Well then, you said you need to get to Slateport by tonight am I right?'
'If thats so, we going to have to get a move on, we are already behind schedule.' said Mr Reily

'Yes I do' said Wes. 'Can I ask, where is your boat?'

'Oh that, well we were going to take my boat, but last night old Shooter here evolved into Pidgeot, and can fly a lot further, in fact, it can fly us all the way to Slateport!

'Wes didn't know what to think of this, it would of course, get him to Slateport quicker, but Wes had never ridden a Pokemon before, let alone flown on one.'

'Well come on then, hop on Shooters back and grab hold of a few feathers while we take off.' said Mr Reily.

Wes climbed on Shooter the Pidgeot's back and grabbed a hold of some feathers.
At the moment when Wes felt comfortable, Mr Reily jumped on too, he gave a tug on Pidgeot's tail and hey were off.'

The speed Pidgeot flew at was amazing, and after a while Wes felt very comfortable riding Pidgeot, so much so in fact, he looked down upon Sinnoh, forgetting about his fear of heights and stared in aw at the magnificent Country, and most of all at Mt. Coronet.

After hours of flying, they went down on a small patch of land for a while.

'So, can I ask why you are heading over to Hoenn?' asked Mr Reily.

'Oh umm, I'm staying with my cousins for a while thats all.' lied Wes again.

'Fair enough, but why do you have to be there by tonight?' asked Mr Reily.

'Oh, umm, err... Dinner...' lied Wes nervously.

'Haha Dinner? Well, fair enough. We should head of soon, in about half an hour, we will be flying over Hoenn.' said Mr Reily.

So they were off again in minutes, yet after about 10 Minutes or so, it started to pour with rain.

'Do we need to keep going? Or can we go down?' shouted Mr Reily over the sound of the rain.

'Can we keep going? We are almost there aren't we? shouted Wes.

Mr Reily gave Wes a stern looked and then signaled at Pidgeot to keep going.
Just as they started to fly over Slateport, a bolt of lightning struck Pidgeot on the left wing, and they lost control.
They rocketed down out of the sky at an amazing speed. Wes tried as hard as he could to hold on, but could not keep his grip. He fell off Pidgeot and started to fall down into the ocean below.

Wes felt the impact of his body hitting the water all over his body, and felt a sharp pain in his back.
Wes surfaced the water, and tried to swim, but felt himself being dragged towards a huge rip. Wes swam as hard and fast as he could, but to no avail, he was pulled into the currents.

Wes felt like a rag-doll as he was thrown around the water. When Wes decided that struggling was doing no good, he tied to stay calm, in fact he thought he saw a huge cave fly past him as he was pulled along the currents.
After what seemed like forever, Wes found land. On shore he saw a huge boat yard, and presumed he was at Slateport. He was feeling a lot happier now that he had reached his destination, but the happiness was drained from him as he saw Mr Reily and Pidgeot lying on shore a few meters away from him. He rushed over to them as fast as he could in his drenched clothes.

'Are you ok Mr Reily, how's Pidgeot?' asked Wes.
'Oh, we took a hard hit on the surface, but Pidgeot should be fine, we just need to get her to the Pokemon Center as fast as possible.
Wes and Mr Reily carried Pidgeot through the pouring rain and into the Pokemon Center.

Nurse joy took Pidgot into care and assured Mr Reily that she would be fine.

'I'm so sorry, I should never had made us go through that storm.' apologized Wes.
'Oh please, don't worry about it, now you should head over to your cousins house, I resume they will be wanting to know you are safe.
Wes suddenly remembered about Professor Han and rushed out the hospital, doubting that they would care if he was safe.

Wes found the Oceanic Museum very quickly, as there were many signs pointing him in the right direction towards it.

He arrived at the Oceanic Museum at 9:46 PM. He entered through the doors soaking wet and with his hair absolutely sodden and over his eyes.

He paused as everybody stared at him. He didn't care anymore, he had had enough.

Wes raised his head and screamed at the top of his voice,
    'ARE YA' HAPPY NOW?!'

    Chapter 2: Professor Hann

You've finally made it to Slateport City without harm. Now what? You make your way to the Oceanic Museum, where you are told to go. Once there, you are able to enter without fee, but once you get inside you are blindfolded, and taken to who knows where by a strong force.

"Don't worry," whoever took you would say. Then you would recognize that they are male. The mystery person takes you upstairs, and in through a small, box elevator. It is very stuffed, and you can tell that there are about seven other people and their kidnapper in with you. Everything goes still, and you can't hear anything. Then, all of a sudden, the elevator moves, shocking everyone it seems, except for the kidnappers. Soon it starts to get cold and very dark. Then, just a suddenly as the elevator started, it stops. You are escorted from the elevator by the kidnapper, and your blind fold is taken off.

You are welcomed by a short lady in a white lab coat.

"Hello, children!" the lady said with a big, booming voice which you wouldn't match with her small, dainty body, "I'm Professor Hann!"

"I'm Logan," said a tall man next to her, "I work for the government. I'm a spy. We will soon get to be knowing each other very well," he stressed the 'very'.

"Now, time for your Pokemon!" said the booming voice of Professor
Hann, "After careful consideration by both me and Logan, we finally decided on which Pokemon you will receive," the Professor went to the back, and came back with eight Pokeballs. Then she said, "Grey, Logan and I have decided that you should have a Ralts. Both of your reclusive personalities shall mix greatly together," she handed Grey an all white Pokeball.

"Gale, you will receive a Larvitar. Both of your stubbornness and ability of executing strategies will work together finely," Logan said, handing Gale a specialized sapphire colored Pokeball.

"Dom, you will get a Rhyhorn. Your competitiveness, smarts, and simple traits will make you and Rhyhorn work together at your strongest," it was Hann this time, handing Dom a blue and black Pokeball.

"Sydney, you get a Drifloon. Your carefree and loose personalities will mesh," Sydney received a lavender colored Pokeball from Professor Hann.

"Wes, you will recieve a Growlite," Logan said, "You are both joyous, happy, outgoing and fun-loving," Logan handed Wes a bright fiery red and orange Pokemon.

"And finally, Kelly. You will get Buizel. Though you and Buizel have completely different personalities, we decided you would do best with Buizel. Have you ever heard the opposites attract?" Logan handed Kelly a deep purple and bright yellow Pokeball.

"On a sad note, news is that three of the people were unable to make it. Now," said Professor Hann, "Time for you to get to know your Pokemon!"

You then open the Pokeballs, releasing the Pokemon given to you.

"Ah, yes. I forgot. Here are your PokeTechs," Professor Hann gave everyone a red colored PokeTech. "They are the newest type of PokeDex. With them, you will be able to do many things. The most important being that we, me and Logan, will be able to keep in touch with you."

"We will be going through intensive training with you and your Pokemon with me and other spys. We will be training in Mahogany Town, Johto. Pryce will be there to help us. We will be traveling by plane, but you must be in Mauville City at 8:00 am sharp." Logan said. As Logan was talking something beeped. He ran back to the computer with Professor Hann and came back with a stunned look on his face.

"There is some news," he said, "But you will have to wait until we get to Mahogany Town."

What to do in Chapter 2: Professor Hann

Explain getting to Slateport, going into the Museum and the events that took place. Then explain Professor Hann and Logan talking to you and your character's thoughts on what will be taking place in the near future. Explain getting the Pokemon and PokeTech, and have your character wonder what the news is. Explain letting your Pokemon out and what it is like. Then end your post once you start to leave.

  • (You put "Sydney" for Slyther's name instead of "Kelly", so in other words, you put it in twice X_X)

    Chapter 2~

It was about time for Gale to go check out the Oceanic Museum. With her Metronome in her pocket, her specialized Power Lenses on her wrists, and her Azure Flute around her neck, a somewhat tired Gale headed off to the museum. Upon entering, she was greeted by two clerks. As if they knew of her coming, they let her in without a fee. Wow, yet another thing for free, Gale thought. Unfortunately, her thoughts had distracted her long enough before she finally snapped back into reality and realized someone had blindfolded her and was now dragging her along with great force. Too scared to say anything, Gale was to wait until the person took off her blindfold, so she could beat the crap out of the lecher.

Gale heard the person say it was OK, and realized it was a man, making her feel even worse. She felt herself go up some stairs, and then through a narrow elevator. Gale could sense some others in the elevator with her and her captor, but couldn't figure out how many. After a few more seconds passed, the elevator began moving, and Gale had to stifle a scream. In about one more second, the elevator stopped. Gale whimpered a bit, but no one seemed to notice. At last, she felt herself moving again, but she didn't know where to.

At last, the person took the blindfold off. It seemed as though this person didn't mean to harm her.

"Hello, children!" a short and perhaps somewhat stock (in Gale's opinion) woman in a white labcoat said with a big, booming voice. "I'm Professor Hann!" she quickly added.

"I'm Logan," said a tall man next to her, "I work for the government. I'm a spy. We will soon get to be knowing each other very well." He seemed to stress the "very", or so Gale thought. She then realized some of the other people around her were about her age, maybe older, maybe younger. But why they were here, she didn't know.

"Now, time for your Pokemon!" said the booming voice of Professor Hann, "After careful consideration by both me and Logan, we finally decided on which Pokemon you will receive." The Professor went to the back, and came back with eight PokeBalls. Then she said, "Grey, Logan and I have decided that you should have a Ralts. Both of your reclusive personalities shall mix greatly together," she handed the boy, Gray, an all white PokeBall.

"Gale, you will receive a Larvitar. Both of your stubbornness and ability of executing strategies will work together finely," Logan said, handing Gale a specialized sapphire colored PokeBall. She snatched it up immediately, and looked at its fine design. Such a nice design. I'll call this special ball... The Ribbon Ball! Now all I need to do is attach a pearl-colored ribbon to it! Gale thought merrily. Her thoughts yet again distracted her, and she didn't hear who the other people were.

"On a sad note, news is that three of the people were unable to make it. Now," said Professor Hann. "Time for you to get to know your Pokemon!" Was all Gale got, and fortunately, it was enough for her. She pressed the button in the middle of the Ribbon Ball, and out came a light green-colored dinosaur-like creature. It stared at her, blinking every few seconds, and Gale returned the gaze. This went on for a few moments, until finally the creature reached out its hand towards her. Happily accepting its introduction, Gale grabbed the creature's small hand and shook it. The creature smiled, and at once Gale began coming up with names.

First off, the Larvitar was a Rock/Ground type, as Gale recalled from past recollections of her time traveling in Johto and her time in Orre. So Terra would fit perfectly. Now the Larvitar needed to have a middle name. At first "Emerald" came to mind, but Gale scratched it off; Emeralds were too dark. Then came "jade", but once Gale saw the ruby red scar the Larvitar bore, she finally had a name for her.

"You'll be Terra Ruby, Terra for short," she declared in front of all the people surrounding her. The Larvitar smiled, and then motioned for Gale to pick her up. Gale did so, and it was then that the professor began speaking again.

"Ah, yes. I forgot. Here are your PokeTechs," Professor Hann gave everyone a red colored PokeTech. "They are the newest type of PokeDex. With them, you will be able to do many things. The most important being that we, me and Logan, will be able to keep in touch with you."

"We will be going through intensive training with you and your Pokemon with me and other spies.

"There is some news," he said, "But you will have to wait until we get to Mahogany Town." Sighing from the long day, Gale figured it was just about time to leave, when she suddenly recalled what the merchant who gave her the Power Lenses had said. Since Terra was a Pokemon, it would be best for her to receive them.

"Here, Terra," Gale said, placing the two specially designed Power Lenses on Terra's arms. As if by magic, they immediately fitted themselves to match Terra's arm circumference, as her arms were a bit smaller than Gale's. Terra seemed to struggle a bit, but then got the hang of her new items. "I think the merchant said they lowered your speed while the lenses are equipped, but that doesn't mean your overall Speed stat is lowered. He also added that they raise your Special Attack even more, and I'm sure that'll help." Terra nodded as if in agreement. With that said and done, Gale took her time to look at the others. Apparently, no one was staring at her chest or her scar, which she liked. She took her Azure Flute from her neck and began playing it gently. An eerie tune began to play, but then it got prettier and prettier as she progressed in the melody. It was a bit quiet and probably unnoticeable, but sure enough, Terra seemed to hear it, and turned stone-hard as she listened to this haunting melody. It's a song I've known for a while now, Gale thought. It's called "Torn World"... She continued playing as some began to leave while others talked with their Pokemon or some of the other trainers.

(Yes she is playing an ocarina/flute version of the music in the Torn World in Platinum. I don't think there's an actual arrangement of this, but I like the Torn World's tune, so...)

  • ~+ Out of Character +~
Okay, so it was more than ten minutes, 'cause I got sidetracked. Sorry 'bout that.

    ~+ In Character +~

Kelly trudged wearily to the Oceanic Museum, the designated point of arrival by 7:00 PM, though she was tired, knowing her, she would never even think about showing it. She lifted her watch up to her face, so that she could read the time, 6:45, good, she still had a few minutes to reach the museum. As the time ticked away and it drew closer to 7:00, thoughts began to penetrate Kelly's mind, disappearing as quickly as they appeared.

What if she had gotten the date wrong? What if there was nobody there when she arrived at the Oceanic Museum? She'd have to find a way back home, though she speculated that it must have been safe to walk, as so many trainers had successfully completed their journey through the Hoenn Region, she couldn't help but remember that they had Pokemon with them. If she was forced to return on foot, she'd be on her own. Though it wasn't exactly scary, she imagined it would be rather lonely.

"Ah..." A soft release of breath escaped her lips as she set eyes upon the ocean. In the dimming light, what remained of the sunlight glistened and danced upon the waves, turning the water golden in spots where the sunlight touched, and dark blue-green in the spots that the clouds stubbornly defended. She had never seen a sunset upon the sea, in fact, she had never even seen the sea, until today, of course, and the sight of it filled her with a sense of wonderment that was quick in passing.

"'Ello there, goin' somewhere?" A gruff voice interrupted her thoughts, chasing them away as fast as a lion chased away antelopes. Probably one of those many sailors, she thought, before turning around, eyebrows raised, though only slightly.

"Yes." Kelly replied shortly, her voice light, and completely devoid of emotion, like the way she almost always spoke. Though this was often enough to cause most people to back off, if only slightly, the sailor didn't seem to have been fazed in the slightest. He turned to his fellow sailors and let out a bellow of laughter, which Kelly found rather annoying.

"You're a young 'un to be travelin' on your own." The sailor remarked, grinning to reveal yellowed teeth, though in several spots he had no teeth at all. It was all Kelly could do to keep from showing her disgust, though the side of her mouth twisted in a revolted grimace. However, fortunately for her, this slipped the notice of the sailor.

"I suppose so. But if you don't mind, I'd better be on my way, you see, I have to reach my destination at designated time." She could think of no better reply without risking the anger of the sailors, though she felt now that the words had left her mouth that her reply was overall rather lacking. In fact, hanging in the air, it sounded almost stupid, but before the sailors could say anything, or do anything save for laugh, for that matter, she had strode off, turning a corner and breaking into a run.

Snap. She hadn't stuck to the route that would take her to the Oceanic Museum, now she would have to keep walking and hope that she somehow ended up there. The streets were now quieter, though people still traveled upon them, though the light seemed dimmer. She once again lifted her watch to her face, the time read, 6:55. Double snap. That left her hardly enough time to get to the museum. She picked up her pace, and rounded another corner, feeling more than a little nervous should she arrive late.

Lucky. Was Kelly's only thought as she spotted the museum in front of her. So she had somehow managed to get there after all. Still running, she checked the time once more, 6:58, so she wasn't late, either. That was probably just pure luck that she turned onto any random street and managed to make it to the museum.

Slipping past the green-ish glass doors, she faced the front desk. Except that there were no people there. Strange. She thought, this wasn't right. Even at this time of day, the Oceanic Museum didn't close till 7:30 PM. But before she could think any more, she felt a strong pair of arms seize her from behind, wrapping a blindfold around her head, blocking out her vision, with an almost practiced hand, and half carrying, half dragging her across the floor. It must have been a man that had blindfolded her, and she felt fear and suspicion in her stomach. So was this really all a trap?

She heard the gentle woosh of air as doors closed, and then the sensation of floating for a brief moment, and she realized that they must be in an elevator. However, the inside of the elevator seemed stuffy, though she couldn't imagine why. All of a sudden, Kelly felt a cool rush of air, along with a slight jerk, and decided the elevator must have stopped. Then, light filled her eyes, momentarily blinding her as her eyes adjusted to the sudden brightness. Before she could take in her surroundings, a booming voice seemed to come out of nowhere, causing her to jump in surprise.

"Hello, children!" A small, petite lady bellowed, "I'm Professor Hann!" She seemed to add as an afterthought.

"I'm Logan," said a tall man next to her, "I work for the government. I'm a spy. We will soon get to be knowing each other very well," he stressing the 'very'. Her eyes turned on him, and in the process, noticed that there were several other people about her age in the room with her.

"Now, time for your Pokemon!" came the booming voice of Professor Hann once again, "After careful consideration by both me and Logan, we finally decided on which Pokemon you will receive," the Professor went to the back, and came back with eight Pokeballs. Then she said.

"Grey, Logan and I have decided that you should have a Ralts. Both of your reclusive personalities shall mix greatly together," she handed a tall, lanky boy a Pokeball that was completely white.

"Gale, you will receive a Larvitar. Both of your stubbornness and ability of executing strategies will work together finely," Logan said, handing a girl with long, straight blonde hair and startling sapphire blue eyes that were noticable from a distance a Pokeball the exact color of her eyes.

"Dom, you will get a Rhyhorn. Your competitiveness, smarts, and simple traits will make you and Rhyhorn work together at your strongest," it was Hann this time, and she handed a tall, musclar boy a blue and black Pokeball.

"Sydney, you get a Drifloon. Your carefree and loose personalities will mesh," A girl a bit shorter than her with long, dark hair received a lavender colored Pokeball from Professor Hann.

"Wes, you will recieve a Growlite," Logan said, "You are both joyous, happy, outgoing and fun-loving," Logan handed a fairly tall boy with light colored hair a firey red and orange Pokeball.

Kelly opened the Pokeball, following the lead of the other trainers. A orange weasel-like Pokemon appeared, blinking up at her.

"Ah, yes.

Kelly had not taken this in completely, though she felt she had gotten the message well enough, and bent down to eye level with her Buizel.

"Um...hello!" She said rather brightly, and the Buizel's face lit up.

"Bui...buizel!" It seemed to know that they would be friends, and Kelly could see how they were different. She was shyer and more withdrawn, Buizel seemed to be outspoken and bold, though she couldn't quite see how opposites would attract.

  • Sydney was still quite shaken and stirred from her long voyage to Slateport City in just a few hours. She was quite fit and in shape from all the running that she usually partakes in, but for some reason that particular workout wasn't going in her favor at all. Other than her somewhat odd and irregular breathing patterns that she hoped no one else had noticed, she was also feeling uneasy about the whole situation that she was in. The letter still seemed rather suspicious to her and felt that maybe she should turn back and leave before she got herself into some deep trouble.

After the moment of hyperventilation was over, she ventured inside of the Oceanic Museum, which was surprisingly free of charge. As she walked inside, she was immediately met with something quite undesired by her. Instant darkness. A blindfold. She tried to break free of the stranger's tough grasp, but her short stature wasn't enough to let herself loose.

    "Don't worry," The stranger divulged.

"Let me go right now or I'll be forced to kick you where you wouldn't like to be kicked!" Syd yelled rather loudly.

The two had reached a very small elevator with another group of people inside as well. As soon as they had made their way inside the tiny space, they began to descend downwards to Lord knows where. Syd tensed up and was nearly about to scream when they had came to a stop. The strange man removed Syd's blindfold and revealed to her a short lady sporting a white lab coat, who seemed to be either her height or possibly even shorter.

"Hello, children!" the lady said with a big, booming voice which you wouldn't match with her small, dainty body, "I'm Professor Hann!"

+ Oh my god… + Sydney thought. She was a bit startled by the woman's loud voice yet small body structure.

"I'm Logan," said a tall man next to her, "I work for the government. I'm a spy. We will soon get to be knowing each other very well."

It didn't sit too well with Sydney, the way Logan had stressed the word "very." It wasn't that she didn't want to get to know him, it was just the fact that this was all happening sort of quickly, and Sydney tended to go with the flow at a slow pace, at least most of the time. She decided to go along with it though and see how she faired. It would definitely spice up her life, she thought. One of her main goals was to defeat her brother and she figured maybe this "mission," or whatever it was, would somehow aid her in reaching that goal.

"Now, time for your Pokemon!" said the booming voice of Professor Hann, "After careful consideration by both me and Logan, we finally decided on which Pokemon you will receive," the Professor went to the back, and came back with eight Pokeballs.

Sydney then looked her nicely colored Pokeball and released the Drifloon that was inside. The white light that appeared from the ball materialized into a balloon-like figure that let out an odd yet cute sounding cry.

"Wooon~" Drifloon uttered as it had appeared.

"Whoa, cool! I don't think I've ever seen a Pokemon like this before." Syd exclaimed. She approached the Drifloon, who seemed to be a bit shy at first but then extended its heart-shaped expenditure to Sydney and the two shook hands. Professor Hann and Logan had definitely made quite a good choice, as Sydney could tell that the two would make a pretty good team.

"Ah, yes. I forgot. Here are your PokeTechs," Professor Hann gave everyone a red colored PokeTech. "They are the newest type of PokeDex. With them, you will be able to do many things. The most important being that we, me and Logan, will be able to keep in touch with you."

Sydney took a look at the PokeTech, observing its outstanding design and high-tech features. She decided to put it into her pocket for safe-keeping but so she still had easy access to it.

+ News? I hope this won't be anything that involves jumping out of planes or anything… + Sydney thought with a disturbed look on her face. She looked around and saw the other trainers with their Pokemon; she noticed one guy who had brought a guitar along with him.

[FONT=&quot]"Awesome guitar. I love rockin' out with my friend's guitar back in Petalburg City. What songs do you know how to play? Or are you a beginner." Syd asked the boy.

Grey set his things down outside the Oceanic Museam.

"Sorry I'm late!" he said as he ran into the museam. As he burst in he is blindfolded. He started trying to get free of the kidnappers' grasp.

"Don't worry," said the person. Male, definatley male, Grey thought.

The man pushed him up the stairs into a small elevator. Grey knew the elevator was stuffed, and slowly his claustrophobia kicked in. He felt as if he were about to puke. Besides his gagging, everyone in the elevator went still. Grey could hear someone scream as the elevator took off. Grey could feel the tenseness in the air. He held his breath to prevent puking. As they decended to who knows where, Grey closed his eyes. What did I do to deserve this? The letter must have been a trap. he though. Soon enough, the elevator came to a halt, and his eyes were burned by a bright light.

"Hello, children!" said a loud person as Greys blindfold was taken off. "I'm Professor Hann!" she added. Grey was surprised to see such a short body matched with a lound voice.

"I'm Logan," said a tall man who seemed to appear next to her, "I work for the government. I'm a spy. We will soon get to be knowing each other very well,"

Grey's mind started wondering after the short introduction. He had noticed the short, stubby Professor leave, only to reappear with a few PokeBalls. He heard her say his name and he quickly came back to earth.

"Logan and I have decided that you should have a Ralts. Both of your reclusive personalities shall mix greatly together," she handed Grey a blue and green PokeBall, with hints of red. He studied the PokeBall as she handed out the rest of the PokeBalls. How does she know a thing about my personality? he wondered. Ralts, he thought, I've always liked that Pokemon. But I hope its male...

Grey tried to pay attention when he heard the professor say 'sad'. This made him decide not to listen; sad wasn't exactly what he wanted to hear. Then he noticed everyone opening their Pokeballs to reveal their Pokemon. Grey looked around and saw a Larvitar, Rhyhorn, Growlithe, Drifloon, Riolu, and a Buizel. Soon he caught on and opened his PokeBall to release his Ralts.

"Hey little buddy," he whispered to his new Pokemon.

Then Grey hears Professor Hann, "Ah, yes. I forgot. Here are your PokeTechs," She handed him a Red PokeTech (whatever that was), and then listened to what it was. "They are the newest type of PokeDex. With them, you will be able to do many things. The most important being that we, me and Logan, will be able to keep in touch with you."

He flipped open the small device and as it noticed Ralts, the screen blared with information. He saw that the Ralts was male, then let out a sigh of relief.

Then he heard, "We will be going through intensive training with you and your Pokemon with me and other spys. We will be training in Mahogany Town, Johto. Pryce will be there to help us. We will be traveling by plane, but you must be in Mauville City at 8:00 am sharp."

Grey heard a high-pitched 'beep' and noticed that the man named Logan ran back to a computer. He came back with a bad look on his face.

"There is some news," he said, "But you will have to wait until we get to Mahogany Town."

Mahogan Town, aye? Isn't that in Johto? Grey thought.

  • Dom took a quick look at his watch. The hands corresponded to 6:57.

I better make my way inside now. He thought to himself. He got up from where he sat and headed inside. He looked for somebody to flash the envolope to; but everybody let him pass with ease.

The moment Dom passed the main security guards he was grabbed and blindfolded.

"HEY! WHAT'RE YOU-" Dom tried to scream. But before he could finish, a hand was clasped over his mouth. It was a thick, rough hand; more than likely a males.

"Don't worry.." A tough, scratchy voice uttered as he pulled Dom along.

Definatly male.. Dom thought. But why am I being carried away?

After a few moments, Dom felt himself in a closed space. He could feel the presence of others around him; but he was unaware of how many.

Then, out of nowhere, the room moved downward. Dom jumped slightly from the suprise and realized he was in a elevator. The elevator came to a groaning stop after a few seconds and Dom was escorted out and de-blindfolded.

"Hello, children!" Said a small woman with a suprisingly loud voice. "I'm Professor Hann!"

"I'm Logan," Said a very tall boy that was standing next to the Professor. "I work for the government. I'm a spy. We will soon get to be knowing each other very well,"

"Now, time for your Pokemon!" Professor Hann boomed again.

Pokemon? Dom thought with a sudden grin taking over his face.

"After careful consideration by both me and Logan, we finally decided on which Pokemon you will receive," Hann said. She retreived a tray of eight strangley colored Pokeballs.

"Grey, Logan and I have decided that you should have a Ralts.

Dom stared at the ebony and navy colored pokeball. It was magnificent. He noticed the other trainers had called out their Pokemon already, so Dom followed suit.

He pressed the button in the middle of the ball, and in a brilliant red flash his Pokemon appeared.

It was a quadraped and had stone-like protrusions coming from it.

"Rhy...Horn?" The Pokemon said quizically while staring at Dom. Dom stared for a moment, the knelt down and patted the Pokemon. Even though it was rock-hard, the Pokemon seemed to enjoy the petting.

    "Rhy~!" It cried with joy.

"Awesome guitar. I love rockin' out with my friend's guitar back in Petalburg City. What songs do you know how to play? Or are you a beginner." Dom heard a female voice from behind him.

He turned around to find a girl with her new Drifloon by her side.

"Well, you play too?" Dom asked the girl in front of him. "Not to brag, but i'm not a beginner."

He pulled his guitar around and played a gentle tune that filled the air.

"And if you don't like that kind of music; then how about this?" He said as he started to play a wicked solo on his guitar.

"It's a real shame this is only an acoustic. An electric would have sounded much better." Dom said with a small sigh. It was then that he noticed his Rhyhorn was staring at the guitar with dream-filled eyes.

"So you like that too, eh?" He said with a smile as he patted the Rhyhorn again.

"Ah, yes. I forgot. Here are your PokeTechs," Professor Hann gave everyone a red colored PokeTech. "They are the newest type of PokeDex. With them, you will be able to do many things. The most important being that we, me and Logan, will be able to keep in touch with you."

A PokeTech? Awesome! Dom thought to himself as he stared at the device. He quickly pocketed it as Hann started to speak again.

"We will be going through intensive training with you and your Pokemon with me and other spys. We will be training in Mahogany Town, Johto. Pryce will be there to help us. We will be traveling by plane, but you must be in Mauville City at 8:00 am sharp." Logan said.

"Hmm, Mauville." Dom thought aloud as he listened. "It's to bad we can't continue this conversation... Sydney, is it?" Dom said to the girl who asked about his guitar.

Just then a beebing noise came from a nearby computer. Professor Hann and Logan ran to the computer for a moment and came back with a shocked face.

"There is some news," Logan said, "But you will have to wait until we get to Mahogany Town."

"Welp, ok then!" Dom said to no one in particular. "I guess I'll head out now!" And with that he started to make his leave to Mauville.

  • As Gale calmly put away her ocarina, she headed out of the museum. She noticed the carnival music had stopped playing, and silence crept around every corner. It was as if everything had gone mute for her sake (she loved the silence). She then blanked out, and when she stopped blanking, five PokeBalls, minimized, were in her hands. Um... she wondered how they got there, but it didn't matter; they would help her catch a Pokemon.

Earlier, there was a policeman that had blocked the way to Route 110. But he seemed to be snoozing on the job (Gale didn't even know why he was even blocking it), and she headed straight towards the gate. Since the guard was in such a deep sleep, Gale grabbed the remaining donut in the box beside him. She took a bite out of it, and smiled. Mm... Marble Glazed, she thought, walking towards the breezy route.

Noticing the one short path that seemed like a shortcut to get to Mauville, Gale headed inside the building, where she was stopped by a woman who told her she couldn't go through unless she had a bike. Sighing, Gale left the building and began walking up straight, until she came to a fork. Figuring Mauville was northwest of where she was, she turned to her left and walked the path. On the way, she noticed two trainers battling it out. One was using a Roselia; the other was using a Pichu. It seemed like the Roselia was winning, but Gale wasn't too sure. At last, she came to a somewhat wide lake that connected to the other side a few meters out. Groaning because she had gone the wrong way, Gale turned around, only to find a small brown Pokemon staring at her with its big eyes. Taking out her PokeTech, Gale began to search information on this Pokemon.

    "Eevee, the Evolution Pokemon.

    Rawltz & Rawltz Co. [R&R]

Due to having irregular genes, various causes will make it undergo a transformation," Gale read. "Whoa... Cool..." The small fox-like creature smiled, and Gale immediately smiled back. "Heya, little sweetie, how would you like to join my team?" Gale held out a hand, and the Eevee immediately became defensive. Like a cat, it arched its back and its tail hairs stood on their ends. Backing off, Gale figured she'd have to battle the small critter.

"Come on out, Terra!" she shouted. Marvelous sapphire sparkles burst from the Ribbon Ball as the Larvitar appeared, eyeing the Eevee carefully.

    "Larvitar, the Rock Skin Pokemon.

    Rawltz & Rawltz Co. [R&R]

It is born deep underground. It can't emerge until it has entirely consumed the soil around it," Gale said, once again reading the data her PokeTech had transferred. The Eevee soon lunged at Terra, but the Larvitar knew better than that. She jumped out of the way just in time, and the Eevee turned, ready to attack again. Quickly stumbling through her PokeTech to find the moves Terra knew, Gale nearly dropped the mechanical device. She picked it up before it fell to the ground, and looked at Terra's moves.

"Um... Terra, Dragon Dance!" Gale shouted. The Larvitar turned a bright crimson red, and at once it spread around her as if it were an aura. She soon became speedier, and was able to dodge the Eevee's next attack.

"Now, Iron Head!" Gale commanded. Terra's head turned a complete silver; her scar turning a bright gold, and she rammed into the Eevee with all her might. The fox-like Pokemon fell back, and Gale reached into her pocket for a PokeBall.

"PokeBall, go!" she shouted, throwing the ball at the small Eevee. It seemed to absorb the Eevee with its bright light, and it fell to the ground, the circle in the middle beeping a nice red...

(Yeah... I wasn't exactly sure if we were able to catch these things without your consent or what, plus I wasn't sure if you'd give them a random gender, ability (if they have multiple ones), and nature. I'd really like her to be a girl so "Ciela Crystal" can work out, but...)

  • OOC: Sorry for the late post, I just got very busy, anyway, here is a merged Chapter 2 + 3 post =P

    RP:

    Chapter 2

'ARE YA' HAPPY NOW?' screamed a rage filled Wes.

But as soon as he had said that, a large bulky man, much like the man in Wes' dream came.
'Don't worry' said the large bulky man.
Wes was dragged over towards the right hand side of the Oceanic Museum and into what he suspected was an elevator.
He tried to break free of the large man's grasp, but he was much to strong. Then just as Wes settled down, the elevator started and he heard numerous other people give a sudden little shout.
He felt more comfortable now knowing that he wasn't alone. Then after about 15 seconds, the elevator opened back up and they were taken into a cold dark room.
The bags were taken off everybody's heads.

'Welcome children, to the oceanic museum, I am Professor Hann, nice to meet you.' said a tall thin lady in a white lab coat.

'And my name is Logan' said the shady looking bulky man. 'I assure you we be getting to know each other very well.

'Now, now Logan, don't scare the young children.' said Prof. Hann. 'Now, time children, for you to meet your pokemon that you have been carefully selected to travel with.'

The Professor went into a back room and came out with a tray with 8 differently colored, specially modified, Pokeballs.

Wes waited a very long time as he seemed to be at the back of the line. He watched the other children receive their pokemon, including a Larvitar, Rhyhorn and a Drifloon.

After a few minutes Prof. Hann reached Wes.
'Now Wes' said Logan in a deep voice, as if trying to scare Wes even more.
'We have decided that you will receive a Growlithe, you are both joyous, happy, outgoing and fun-loving, you should make a great pair.

Logan handed Wes a Black Pokeball with to Red diagonal stripes along the side. Wes watched while the last girl received her Pokemon, Buizel.

'On a sad note, news is that three of the people were unable to make it. Now,' said Professor Hann, 'Time for you to get to know your Pokemon!'

And then as if right on cue, the Pokeball almost burst open and out jumped a cute and happy looking Growlithe. The Growlithe looked up at Wes, it looked as if it was saying to Wes 'Nice to meet you'. Wes could only smile back, as his new Growlithe was the first Pokemon he had ever known.

I hope everybody enjoys the Pokemon they now own' Wes frowned at Prof. Hann, and then looked at Growlithe, who was looking at Prof. Hann in a very confused way, and he then looked back at Wes.
Wes then said in a soft, quiet voice 'Don't worry, I don't own you, we're partners, and we will be working together in this.'
Growlithe smiled back at Wes and gave his face lick.

'Ah, yes. I forgot. Here are your PokeTechs," Professor Hann gave everyone a red colored PokeTech. "They are the newest type of PokeDex. With them, you will be able to do many things. The most important being that we, me and Logan, will be able to keep in touch with you.'

Wes looked at his PokeTech, he instantly new this was going to be somewhat annoying to travel with, so he decided that as soon as he got out, he would buy a strap for it, so it could attach to his arm, as the PokeTech seemed small enough to do so, in fact, they reminded Wes a lot of the Poketch from Sinnoh.

Prof. Hann then directed for everybody to leave the room, and Wes followed the rest of the children out.

Everybody seemed to happy to have received their very own Pokemon, they were all happily patting and playing with their Pokemon.
Wes looked at Growlithe, at the same moment, they could both tell what each other were thinking, they both gave a nod, and they were off towards Route 110.

    ~~

OOC: Yeah, this will be lame, you'll figure it out the part I'm talking about, I'm just doing it because I want Wes and Growlithe to share a very strong bond and friendship.

    Chapter 3

'Wes wait! I forgot to give you these!' said Prof. Hann a she was running towards Wes and Growlithe.

'Oh umm thanks I guess' said Wes.

Wes and Growlithe continued their journey up towards Route 110, on the way they saw a boy come out of the Pokemon Center with a very tough and strong looking Poochyena. The boy could not have been much younger than Wes and he to, started to head off towards Route 110. Wes new from the minute he saw the boy walking, that he wasn't they type of person he liked to hang out with.

Wes then reached into his pocket and pulled out a few of the Pokeball's he was given. Wes wasn't sure he wanted to catch more Pokemon though, so he put the balls back in his pocket. But at that moment he realized that he had left Growlithe's Pokeball back at the Oceanic Museum.

'Hey Growlithe, we left your Pokeball back at the Oceanic Museum, we should have time to go back and get it before the Museum closes, come on lets go!' said Wes.

But as Wes turned around, Growlithe gave a tug on Wes' jeans. And gave him a look that Wes knew meant that Growlithe would rather be without the ball.

Wes decided that he would rather have Growlithe around all the time, and figured that if he was a Pokemon, that a Pokeball would be the last place he'd want to spend his time.

It was getting dark now though so Wes and Growlithe decided that instead of falling behind the rest of the kids, and resting for the night, that they would go do a bit of training.

They hurried off towards Route 110, and as they entered past the trees, they heard the cries of a Pokemon somewhere nearby and it sounded like it was in pain. Wes and Growlithe ran off towards the screams of pain and found the young boy they saw earlier and his Poochyena, attacking what looked to be a baby Eevee.

'You know what to do' whispered Wes to Growlithe.

'Go Poochyena! Finish the pathetic thing off with Bite!' shouted the young boy at his Poochyena.

But just as the Poochyena was about to inflict the final, painful blow on on the baby Eevee, Growlithe tackled the Poochyena to the ground whilst surrounded by a ball of flames. Wes noticed that his PokeTech had responded to this by displaying the move 'Flame Wheel' and information on it.
The Poochyena hit the ground hard and the young Eevee quickly ran into the bushes to escape more pain.

'What the hell do ya' think you're doing?!' said the young boy.

'You were attacking that poor baby Eevee, you nearly killed the poor thing. And at that moment the Eevee came out from behind the bushes, looking battered and bruised and hid behind Wes.
'And - Are those rocks in your hand?' said Wes, who couldn't believe his eyes.

They young boy quickly threw the rocks into the bushes. 'Umm no...' lied the young boy.

'That's cruelty to Pokemon, if you're going to train, let it be as fair as it can be, even I know that much.' said Wes

'Hey! That thing was attacking us! It was just self-defense!' said the young boy.

'I find that rather hard to believe! The thing for a start is just a baby! And even if for some reason it was, that still gives you no right to throw rocks at it!' said Wes.
'If you're gonna fight, then pick on something you're own size, battle me!'

'Haha, you? By the looks of it, you haven't even got a badge yet!' joked the young boy.

'And I suppose you have then?' said Wes

'Haha, glad you asked. I in fact have 3 Badges, I've just arrived back from Mauville where I defeated the GYM and received my 3rd Badge!' boasted the young boy.

'I'll take you on, badges or not! Come on, Bring It!' shouted Wes.

At that moment, the young boy chuckled and then signaled for his Poochyena to attack Wes. But just in time, Growlithe came to the rescue with another Flame Wheel attack, and then held Poochyena on the ground with his paw against Poochyena's throat, growling at him. Growlithe gave Wes a look as if asking, 'What now?'.

'Just leave the pathetic thing.' said Wes. But as Growlithe looked back at Poochyena, he received a claw to the face and the Poochyena ran off back to the young boy. Growlithe put a paw to his face and saw blood falling down his cheek. He growled loudly at the young boy and his Poochyena.

'Grr - This won't be the last you hear from Jack Orford!' he shouted as he and Poochyena ran off back towards Slateport City.

'Bah, little punk, he'll pay for that' said Wes under his breath. He looked at Growlithe who stood growling loudly back towards Slateport City, Wes could tell Growlithe was thinking the same thing.

  • Sydney felt a bit relieved now as she thought they were going to be held captive or something just moments before. She returned Drifloon to its Pokeball and proceeded to make her way outside of the museum. Before she could walk much further, Professor Hann stopped her and handed five Pokeballs to her so she would be able to capture additional Pokemon to have along with her and Drifloon. Syd thanked Professor Hann and continued northward towards the next destination, Mauville City. She would first have to successfully make her way through Route 110, which for a beginning trainer, wouldn't be all that easy.

    ~

Nearly half an hour later, Syd still continued to make her way through the route, surprisingly without much trouble at all. This was her first time being out on her own, so she was definitely a bit nervous. Her main goal was to reach Mauville City, but if she was able to snag a Pokemon on the way without distracting her too much, then she figured she would be fine. Her opportunity came almost immediately when she noticed an adorable Teddiursa looking in a tree's hollow, possibly searching for honey, although she was unsure why honey would be in a hollowed tree unless someone put it there. She took out her PokeTech so she can learn more about the little bear cub Pokemon.

    Pokedex Entry

    Rawltz & Rawltz Co. [R&R]

    * Teddiursa ~ The Little Bear Pokemon

+ It licks its palms that are sweetened by being soaked in honey. A Teddiursa makes its own honey by blending fruits and pollen collected by Beedrill. +

    ___

"Wow…it looks cool and cute at the same time. Who knew it was even possible?" Sydney muttered to herself.

"Teddi…Teddiursa!" Teddiursa fell out from the hollow and turned its head towards Sydney. For some odd reason, the bear Pokemon began to blush brightly.

"…Huh? What's wrong with it? Do you have a fever Teddiursa?" Syd asked with a puzzled look on her face.

Teddiursa immediately leaped up and made its way towards Syd, hugging her tightly as soon as it became of reach to her. Sydney quickly pulled Teddiursa off of her as a result of her confusion and reached for Drifloon's Pokeball.

"Err, okay, Drifloon, go!" Sydney cried as she threw her Pokeball high into the air.

"Woooooon~" Drifloon uttered as it burst from the Pokeball instantly.

"Drifloon, use Will-O-Wisp!" Syd exclaimed. She had seen a Drifloon used plenty of times before on television so she had some knowledge of their attacks.

Drifloon floated quickly towards Teddiursa, whilst its eyes proceeded to glow a very light shade of blue. A numerous group of blue flames then surrounded Drifloon as it readied itself to attack Teddiursa with the burning Ghost-type attack. The flames circled around Drifloon in some sort of "X" formation, and Drifloon began to spin around in a fast motion. Teddiursa saw this as a chance to make its move, and used a powerful looking Hidden Power, which raced towards Drifloon. Drifloon's Will-O-Wisp "X" formation shielded against the Hidden Power, and then Drifloon retaliated by throwing the Will-O-Wisp upon Teddiursa, causing major burns to inflict it.

"Great job Drifloon! Now, let's see if we can catch this thing…" Syd reached for one of her Pokeballs but before she could throw it, another Pokeball had already hit Teddiursa, as well as successfully capturing it.

"Woon?" Drifloon cried in a sad tone of voice.

"Haha. Thanks Syd. You really saved me the trouble of battling it myself." A voice that sounded so much like her brother's had remarked.

"Roman? What the hell is wrong with you? That Teddiursa was going to be mine, you stupid jacka-." Sydney angrily responded before being interrupted.

"Yeah, well, I don't care. This Teddiursa was too good for you anyways. You're only capable of training weak Pokemon, like that pathetic Drifloon of yours, haha." Roman retorted, looking towards Drifloon, who had a sad look on its face.

"It's ten times better than the piece of crap that you picked. I want a battle, right here and now, if you want to talk all big and tough." Sydney mockingly suggested.

"Nah, that's alright. I don't have time for rookies. I have four badges now so I'm close to being one of the big-shot trainers now, unlike you, who'll never get one, unless they felt really sorry for you for losing to them badly. Anyways, I'm going to Slateport City. I have to get Dewford Gym's badge that I didn't bother to get before." Roman replied, rudely brushing past her on his way to Slateport.

Syd just turned around and continued walking to Mauville City with an odd smile on her face.

"Head up, chest out…and count backwards from 10…"

  • Dom began to make his way out, but was stopped by Professor Hann. SHe handed him five Pokeballs and sent him on his way.

As Dom exited the oceanic museum the night air flowed crisply against his face. He hadn't realized just how much time had passed. His watch said it was 8:30 now.

"Dang, I spent a whole hour and a half in there?" Dom wondered aloud. His Rhyhorn, who had been following him since it's release of it's Pokeball, had a certain happy spring in her step. She seemed happy to be with her new owner.

"Alright...Route 110.." Dom said peering at his map, then back at the actual route. "It looks alot less confusing on the map..." He said with a sigh.

Dom decided to pass the time by playing a song on his guitar. He had already discovered that his Rhyhorn had a love for his music.

"Rhyy~" Rhyhorn cired, as if singing along with the music.

    Ting
    Ting

A very faint sound came from a bush nearby. It sounded like a bell.

    Ting
    Ting

"Man, what is that tinging noise?" Dom said in a quizical tone. He followed the sound until it got louder and louder.

    Ting...
    Ting...
    Ting...

Dom rummaged through the bushes for roughly five minutes until he found, much to his dismay, an egg.

"This is what's making the sound?" Dom said while eyeing the egg carfully.

He reached for his PokeTech, just to see if it had any information.

    ___________

    Rawltz & Rawltz Co. [R&R]

    Pokemon Egg.
    Species: Unkown

The faint sound emmited from the egg may verify the Pokemon it will hatch in to. This egg is in the early stages of development. Caring for, and nursing the egg will make it hatch faster.

    ___________

"Intersting..." Dom muttered quietly while reading the data. "You think we should keep it, Rhyhorn?"

Rhyhorn sniffed the egg, possibly to see if it meant any harm. "Rhy...horn!" The Pokemon said cheerily.

"Alright then! This is our new Pokemon. Er..Soon to be Pokemon!" Dom said as he eyed the egg again.

"What a nice looking egg you have there.." A mysterious voice said from behind Dom. "How about you...hand it over."

"I don't think so!" Dom said with a sudden angry tone. "You wan't it; you'll have to fight for it! Rhyhorn, take care of this guy with Horn Attack!"

Rhyhorn obliged and charged at the mystery man. She was determined to protect their new egg.

"I don't think so..Snorunt, come out and use Powder Snow!" And as the mystery man said those words, his Pokemon appeared. It was a tiny thing; with a black body and tent-like coat around it.

It spewed white snow from it's mouth that hit Rhyhorn head on. Rhyhorn flinched a bit but kept going with it's attack. Rhyhorn's horn hit Snorunt dead on and sent it back to it's trainers feet.

"We're not done yet! Snorunt, get your ass up and fight!" The man said forcefully. Snorunt carefully eased itself up. It was obviously injured.

Rhyhorn began to paw at the ground, she was ready for another attack.

"Rhyhorn, stop" Dom said qiuetly. "That Snorunt can't possibly go on. Let's leave now."

"Hey! Where do you think you're going?! We're not through! You hear me?! You'll be hearing from me again! Remember my name! Tim Westling!" Tim shouted as Dom walked away.

"People like him...make me sick." Dom uttered with anger in his voice. "No respect whatsoever for their Pokemon.. Oh well, that's behind us now. Let's keep going"

  • As the ball closed with a loud "ping", Gale sighed, and stared at it for a few seconds. She then proceeded to pick it up, Terra right behind her.

"Hmm... Female..." Gale muttered. "Well, Eevee has, what? Seven evolutions?" Terra nodded, though she probably didn't know herself. "Well, Glaceon would be one of the most prettiest... Ciela! For a first name! and for a middle name... Crystal! Because ice is crystal-clear!" Terra seemed to like the name, as she put her left arm up in the air.

"Larv!" she exclaimed in agreement. Smiling, Gale then opened up Ciela's PokeBall, and out came the small critter. Taking one look at Gale, then at Terra, Ciela gave a bit of a glare.

"It's alright, Ciela Crystal," Gale calmly said, reaching her arm out for Ciela to sniff. "I'm your friend." It was then that Gale noticed the abnormality in Ciela's eyes. Her left eye was a cobalt blue; her right a beautiful turquoise blue. Ciela walked timidly over to Gale and sniffed her hand. She then seemed to stare up at the Azure Flute Gale still had around her neck.

"You want to listen to me play?" Gale asked. She took the Azure Flute off her neck and began playing the same tune she had when she first met Professor Hann. It was the Torn World, as she had named it. It seemed as though Ciela was...immobilized by the sad, haunting tune. When Gale stopped, the small Eevee was in a daze. Smiling, Gale reached down and patted the critter's head. Ciela looked up at her.

"Vui!" she replied in response to Gale's patting. Walking over to Terra, Ciela stared at the scar Terra held, while at the same time, Terra was gazing at the Eevee's different colored eyes. After a moment, Ciela seemed to reach her paw out to Terra, who shook it. Seeing how the two made an agreement, Gale smiled yet again.

"Ah, isn't it nice, a girl bonding with her Pokemon?" a strange voice said behind her. Spinning around, a beyond gorgeous, model-like figure was staring straight at her. This girl probably had an E-cup, much bigger than Gale's, and yet was just the right size - not too fat, not too lean. The girl had radiant reddish-brown eyes, and gorgeous raven-colored long silky hair, much longer than Gale's. She was wearing a tattered royal purple dress, which even made her look more beautiful and mysterious. Her light, lavender-colored dress shoes added even more to her features. Gale cocked her head quizzically, as if asking who she was.

"I am Rhea Bluebird Swallowtail," the girl replied. "You know Rin and Ren, correct? Well, I happened to be acquainted with them." Of course, Gale thought. Rin and Ren were long-time coordinators and battlers who worked as a pair. They both mocked Gale for her lack of Pokemon. But now, since she had Terra and Ciela, Gale could show the two what she was made of.

"Anyways," Rhea continued. "I have been chosen to battle with you every now and then. Seeing how I caught you in an IMPORTANT moment..." She seemed to stretch out the "important", "I'll show you my Pokemon, then leave. Come on out, Silk Flutter!" A beautiful Masquerain came out of the ball Rhea had thrown, but Terra and Ciela seemed...afraid of it. Gale then noticed the pattern on Silk's wings, they were shaped like eyes. And the red on her face/body, they reminded her of a mouth. So it probably figured the two would be afraid. Rhea recalled Silk, and walked away without another word, a smug look on her face.

"What's her problem?" Gale muttered under her breath. Terra and Ciela were still in a daze, probably still scared from that Masquerain. "Well," Gale continued, "better get on the road to Mauville." Turning to the path that actually LED to Mauville, Gale was about to start off when the Masquerain appeared in front of her, bearing a small gift. Gale took it from the creature, assuming it was for her, and the Masquerain flew back in the direction Rhea had left. Opening it up, a pearl white ribbon was revealed, and at this point, Gale freaked out.

"ARE THEY PSYCHIC OR SOMETHING???" she asked. "Well, at least I got my ribbon..." Getting out some super glue, she stuck it on the top portion of the Ribbon Ball, and recalled Terra. Then, getting out a icicle sticker, she stuck it on the red part of Ciela's ball to indicate which that was. She then recalled Ciela, and continued towards Mauville.

(Rhea actually spied on her with Silk. How she was able to hear the conversation Gale held with Terra is unknown, so...)

  • Dom was now quite a bit further down the route. Above him he could hear spokes of bicycles spinning.

I must be under Cycling Road.. Dom thought to himself. He kept on walking until he noticed something odd in the middle of the path. To be more specific, it was a Pokemon.

"That's an..Oddish; right?" Dom asked himself while his brain pondered the answer. He pulled out his PokeTech for a quick look on the data.

    _____

    Rawltz & Rawltz Co. [R&R]

    Oddish
    The Weed Pokemon
    Gender: Female

It often plants its root feet in the ground during the day and sows seeds as it walks about at night.

    _____

"Well, we are going to need more than one Pokemon and an Egg if we want to succeed, right Rhyhorn?" Dom asked his Pokemon.

"Rhy, Rhyhorn!" The Pokemon cried in agreement.

"Then it's settled. Rhyhorn, get that Oddish with Stomp!" Dom commanded. Rhyhorn obeyed and charged to the unexpecting Oddish.

Rhyhorn raised it's foot and slammed down on the Oddish. The poor thing couldn't even get up. It was a one-hit knockout.

"Alright, Pokeball go!" Dom said as he chunked the red and white orb at the knocked out Pokemon.

With a flash of red, the Oddish was called into the ball. The ball shook for a few moments and stopped. The Pokemon had been succesfully caught.

"Alright, now we're talking!" Dom said as he pumped his fist in the air. "That means when this egg hatches, I'll have three Pokemon!"

Dom stuck the ball on his belt then swung his guitar around. He played a jaunty tune as he continued his journey to Mauville.

  • It was still late night. Sydney took a look at her PokeTech, which conveniently had a built-in watch. The time read "10:06 P.M." She stayed awake through most of the night anyways while she was still living at home, so this hour of the day didn't bother her much at all. She would be able to make to Mauville City at the designated time. Well, that is, if she didn't run into anymore trouble along the way. The confrontation with her brother a few moments earlier had slowed her down a bit though, as she had her mind set more on kicking his butt one day instead of the task at hand: making it to her destination in one piece. Even though Drifloon had been returned to its Pokeball, she still held the Pokeball tightly in her hands, just in case anything was to catch her by surprise.

"I wonder if there are any other Pokemon around here…I want Drifloon to get some more experience before we get to Mahogany Town, or whatever it's called." Sydney divulged to herself.

Suddenly, there was a rustle in the bushes behind her. It sounded like it could've been a person, or a very large Pokemon. Syd turned around and walked over toward some hedges located between a few tall trees. A young boy who looked about thirteen or so jumped out along with what looked like a Zigzagoon but Sydney had problems telling in the darkness.

"Whoa, what the hell is your problem? Is this what little kids do at ten o'clock at night nowadays?" Syd asked in a startled tone of voice.

"Who you callin' little? You're just about as old as I am, ya dumb girl!" The boy rudely exclaimed.

"Uh, I'm sixteen and by the looks of you, you look like you're around ten or so. Who are you anyways? Isn't it past your bedtime little boy?" Syd mockingly questioned him.

"The name's Spicer Orford and you won't forget it neither! My brother Jack and I have been kickin' ass and takin' names 'round this region and we won't let no dumb girl try and outdo us. You wanna battle, girl? Or are you too afraid you'll break a nail or somethin' hahaha!" Spicer tauntingly suggested.

"Meh…you're so immature. I need to get to Mauville City soon and all you're doing is prolonging me from getting there even more. I guess Drifloon could use some training though…I might as well. I don't think it'll take that long to get to Mauville anyways." Syd replied as she took out Drifloon's Pokeball and threw it.

"Wooooo~" Drifloon cried as it emerged from the Pokeball.

"Alright Drifloon, let's rock this guy's socks. Let's see… I think Zigzagoon is a Normal type so Ghost moves won't work. So I'll try this move. Drifloon, use Secret Power!" Syd ordered abruptly.

"Woo, woo!" Drifloon answered in agreement and immediately rushed towards the Zigzagoon. As it got closer to its target, Drifloon began to spin almost like a drill and glow a bright pinkish color with sparkles surrounding it.

"Oh hell naw! That Drifloon ain't gettin' any closer to my Ziggy! Zigzagoon, use Water Pulse now!" Spicer frustratingly yelled.

Zigzagoon instantly obeyed and quickly leaped up into the air, dodging Drifloon's Secret Power. A ball of water formed in front of Zigzagoon's mouth and the raccoon Pokemon dropped down to the ground, releasing Water Pulse that burst all around it. A wave of water crashed into Drifloon and sent it harshly into one of the nearby trees.

"Argh. Drifloon, you alright?" Sydney asked, looking over to her slightly injured Pokemon. Drifloon floated back up from the tree and nodded while putting its "game face" back on. "Okay, Hypnosis!"

Drifloon's eyes changed to a very deep bluish color, and the "X" on its face began to glow brightly. It brought its hands to its "X" mouth and did something that resembled blowing a kiss, which sent an illusion "X" towards Zigzagoon. Zigzagoon's eyes drooped and it yawned until it eventually fell into a deep slumber.

"What the-? That dumb balloon! Wake up Zigzagoon!" Spicer angrily uttered.

"Alright, now Secret Power!" Syd instructed again.

Drifloon then hurried towards Zigzagoon with its body glowing a bright pink with sparkles covering over it. It rammed into Zigzagoon and the brown Pokemon flew straight into its trainer, knocking them both out.

"Hah. Now you'll think twice before insulting a girl won't you?" Sydney teasingly asked as she returned Drifloon and walked further down the route to Mauville City.

  • ~+ Out of Character +~
Okay, this took forever. My apologies for that.

    ~+ In Character +~

The sun had nearly disappeared entirely into the ocean, now an eerie shade of black blue due to the rapidly dimming light, as Kelly left the Oceanic Museum, which was nearing its closing time. Her Buizel was in its Pokeball, for the Professor had suggested that a Pokemon stay in its Pokeball when in the city, though it was, as many things were, optional, and nothing more than a suggestion. She squinted in the pinkish glow out at the ocean. The waves continued to pound gently against the shores, appearing darker now, but still touched with a sliver of gold where the last rays of sunlight danced off the crystalline water. She knew her destination, though truthfully, she felt that she would likely need aid in getting there. Her gaze swept across her surroundings, falling on an Information Booth.

"Aha!" Kelly exclaimed, running to the booth, where a bored looking man was sitting. "I need a map please." She said smoothly. The man's eyes surveyed the speaker, a rather surprised look on his face. It was clear that he didn't expect anyone to come to the booth at this time.

"Which kind?" He asked, gesturing to the row of maps behind him.

"Er...a map of the Hoenn Region?" Kelly answered his question hesitantly. The man turned and reached for a map at the right side of the rack, handing it to Kelly, who accepted the map.

"That'll be 50 yen." He said, his voice bored and uninterested, as if this had become all too routine for him. Kelly nodded, reaching into her Pocket and pulling out the money she kept in there, counting out the desired amount, and handing it to the man, who took it and stowed it away in a container, the expression on his face never changing. Kelly took the map and walked quickly away, glad to be away from the Information Booth.

    --+--+--+--+--

"Ugh," Kelly said, as she walked quickly past a dock. The entire area here smelled strongly of fish, something she preferred dead and served on a plate in lemon juice as opposed to lying limply in enormous nets in the ships. She spied several sailors laughing ahead of her and quickened her pace, making her way around them. She'd be out of this area soon, in fact, she'd be out of Slateport, and on her way to…Mauville, she believed, yes, it was Mauville.

    --+--+--+--+--

The air on the route was crisp and cool, and smelled of earth with a defined scent of damp leaves and grass. It was so unlike the, though sometimes only slightly, fish tinged scent of Slateport City that she couldn't quite believe that she had just left Slateport City. Unsure of what she was to do, save for follow the route, which would likely take her to Mauville, or it should.

"Buizel, come on out!" Kelly said, taking out a Pokeball, feeling that she would prefer to have company at the moment. A weasel like Pokémon appeared, stretching its neck upward and blinking.

"Hey there Buizel, come on, let's keep on going," Kelly suggested, gesturing to the area in front of them. However, it became apparent that Buizel was the one who preferred to lead. In an instant, he had scurried in front and begun walking. Kelly followed, careful not to lose sight of her Pokémon, when she heard a cry from Buizel.
    "Bui buizel bui!"

"What is it?" Kelly cried, alarmed, as she bounded forward. A Pokémon resembling a teddy bear stood in front of Buizel, its head cocked to one side as it surveyed this strange Pokémon, an expression of curiosity on its face.

"Awww!" Kelly sighed, it was obviously one of the cutest Pokémon she had ever seen, though she was unsure of its name. As she pondered this, trying to remember if she had seen this Pokémon somewhere before, perhaps back at home, her PokeTech sprang to life.

    Teddiursa
    The Little Bear Pokémon

The PokeTech recited in a cool, mechanical voice, which was flat and emotionless, though that was to be expected of a mechanical device such as the PokeTech.

If it finds honey, its cresent mark glows. It allows its paws to be soaked with honey so that it can lick them all the time, and it also makes its own honey by blending fruits and pollen collected by Beedrill. They also have a habit of hoarding food in many hidden locations before food becomes scarce during the wintertime.

Surely enough, the Teddiursa lifted a paw to its mouth and drew its tongue across it as the PokeTech ended its recitation.

"Its adorable!" Kelly commented, though at that Buizel gave her a strange look, as if he believed she were truly crazy, it seemed that he didn't care much for the Teddiursa. "And I'm going to catch it, come on Buizel!"
