Yeah, that is why you are allowed to trade if you're playing the official games!

If you can't trade, I strongly suggest you to play the recognized hacked games instead.

There's a third option, I'll use a generator to decide which type you should be playing with.

Similar to KorpiklaaniVodka's case, you will be permitted to use a non-Ground Pokémon until you've reach Virbank Complex. Virbank Complex (Outside) offers Shellos-W, both genders of Nidoran. Those three are allowed as their final stages are part-Ground. While a real Ground-type, Wooper, is available in Virbank Complex!

In case you're concern of losing a Gym Leader point for not being able to use a Ground type. You'll get 50 Points if you beat Zinzollin during your 4th match with him in Plasma Frigate.

I'll try to patch it myself but I'll let you know if I run into any trouble.

EDIT: I have patched the game and it works great so far! I've just beaten Hugh for the first time, I even recorded a test video for it:


It's kinda laggy but that was because I was testing to see how good XSplit is at recording.

Let's see, if Geodude and Roggenrola have retained their Sturdy Ability from the officials, remember to take advantage of it.

If they are to use the explosive moves, don't hesitate you use those moves. Careful if you have a few members, as well as Masquerain's Intimidate Ability!

Actually if you look at my progress you'd see that I did beat Burgh and even had a video of it.

MAJOR UPDATE FOR THE FIRE TYPE MONO RACE
Okay, sorry for the caps.

But here we go

Defeated all 8 Gyms. (50 x 8 = 400 Pts.)
Defeated my rival Volt in all three required to record battles. (25 x 3 = 75 Pts.)
Defeated Ghetsis and his Black Kyurem. (100 + 100 = 200 Pts.)
Defeated Elite Four for the first time. (200 Pts)
First Representative to record in Hall of Fame gives 500 Pts
TOTAL: 1375 Pts.

Chosen a Tepig from the beginning of journey.
Given a Cyndaquil in Virbank City.
Caught a Growlithe in Virbank Complex.
Caught a Magby in Virbank Complex.
Caught a Vulpix in Castelia City.
Given a Charmander in Castelia City.
Given a Chimchar in Castelia City.
Caught a Darumaka at Route 4.
Caught a Larvesta in Relic Castle.
Caught a Litwick in Relic Castle.
Caught a Numel in Relic Castle.
Caught a Houndour at Route 9.
TOTAL: 120 Pts.

Tepig evolved into a Pignite and later on into an Emboar.
Growlithe was eventually evolved into an Arcanine.
Magby evolved into a Magmar and later on into a Magmortar with the help of a Magmarizer (Trade not required in BB2).
Vulpix evolved into a Ninetales.
Charmander evolved into a Charmeleon and later on into a Charizard.
Darumaka is now a Darmanitan!
Larvesta evolved into a Volcarona after struggling as a larva for a long time.
Litwick took a long time to evolve into a Lampent, she is now a handy Chandelure.
The slow but hardworking Numel's effort paid well, he is now a Camerupt.
TOTAL: 260 Pts.
My final team is consisted by seven Pokemon (in rotation) they are Ninetales, Volcarona, Darmanitan, Chandelure, Camerupt, Magmortar and last but not least Charizard.

[PokeCommunity.com] [Event] The Amazing Pokémon Race

Dear participants,

We would like to notify you that due to the closure of Pokemon Clubs, this will also mark the closure of the The Amazing Pokémon Race. We appreciate all the members who participated this event. Points will be calculated for one last time, as for the prizes we will let you know whether you will receive the promised emblems or not. My sincerest apologies for the sudden closure of the event, in the meantime please look forward to Pokemon Community's Get Together event next month!

It's a shame I wasn't able to end my playthrough in time. But the end of the event, doesn't mean an end of my Black 2 game. I'm still going to finish it (but stop making screenshots of every random TM I found :P). Because I still haven't finished a Gen V game yet.
