I plan to build my own computer once I get enough money. I also just got my ancient 2000-era Aptiva hooked up to the net again, and then there's the 2004ish desktop; neither are useful for gaming.

  • My crappy laptop is just to keep me on top of my University work for the first and second year, so I just got a cheap laptop.
    A Dell.

Duel Core T5800 running at 2.0GHz

    XP 3. [Need to upgrade]
    GeForce 8800GTX [my baby ^.^]

    That is all really.

How'd you manage to get a copy of snow leopard? And how is it compared to leopard?

It's seeded to developers through the Apple Developer Connection (select or premier membership). It was also leaked to popular BitTorrent tracking sites, but I won't say anything further about that.

And remember, this is a pre-release form of the OS (though there has been a code freeze on the APIs). There may be significant differences between the current product and the final product.

  • Mine was a copy from a few months ago, before the API freeze. I rarely use it anyway, I should probably just remove it...

    done.
anyway there wasnt anything really significant in that build, Grand central wasn't done in it.

  • No bragging here. Heh xDD

    I have a HP Pavilion dv4000 laptop...

It's rather sad and boring, but it runs MS Word, iTunes, and FF well so I'm just fine with it ^^

(I really want a Mac, though...)

  • I have two main computers. I have an 2008 MacBookPro laptop(17") and also, a new 2009 iMac. It has a 24" screen, 1TB of harddrive space, 8GB of RAM and a 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. It all came stock, but the comp was about $4,000. The laptop was also up there in price, but not as expensive.
Those are the main computers I use, but my dad also has 2 PCs(dekstop and laptop), and my mom has a PC desktop.
