PROLOGUE

Fire crackled loudly, consuming the charred logs inside and fueling its roar. In a massive cave, situated in the steep cliffs and rocky crags of Mount Cassiel, exists the last of humanity. A handful of its once abundant populace sits with despair clearly hanging in the air. A few of the men have determined glares, some of the women caring gazes, and a few of the rare children have cheerful and innocent stares.

Sitting at the forefront of the flame, one leg stretched out, while the other was pulled to his chest was a inhumanly beautiful man. His mystical purple eyes peered at the fire as if it held him in a trance. His white long hair was accentuated with a shimmering halo glowing behind him, adding to his inhuman features.

"Let us begin..." he uttered, his voice innately soft and yet filled with majestic authority.

The fire roared to life as he spoke, the flames rising to the finger tips of the stalagmites 500 feet above them, a shining beacon for the others to see. Slowly, little by little, from the various branch-works of the cave, people joined to the congregation.

When everyone had found themselves around the man in front of the fire, a young boy -nestled between his mother and father- spoke. "Are you going to tell the story again, Zosimusl?"

Nodding to the boy gently, the man brought his slender index finger to pink lips and silenced him. "This story must be told every year till the Disciples are born. It must not be forgotten and never should it be hidden," he told them, his eyes stuck on the flames. "This is the truth of why men and Divine alike have been all but eradicated from this world...This is the tale, of the battle that shook Gaia, herself."

Zosimus rose up to his feet and his hair fell to the middle of his seven foot tall height. Slowly, he moved his hand over the flames and in its wake, a picture begin to reenact the words that he spoke; detailing his sultry tale with a fiery and intimate presentation above them.

"One hundred years ago, when Gaia was inhabited by men, watched over by the Divine, and plagued by the demonic; there were three humans that lived through unspeakably horrendous ordeals. So much in fact that the Divine felt it necessary to intervene.

"Calazar: our divine ruler, had sent us to comfort them. To make their lives...easier to live. Two of them were accepting this love, letting it slide through the cracks of their heartache. But the man who traveled through the shade and could not see a speck of light, had denied us," he shook his head as if remembering something foul and unbearably sad. "This man's name was Kasimir and a darkness that hid true terrors had engulfed his heart of hearts; he could not feel the warmth of life anymore.

"This man, who's mind was shattered and spirit scattered to the wind, committed the most heinous of crimes," again, a flash of emotion crumpled the Divine's face with anger. "...He took it upon himself kill my brethren and partake of his flesh. Normally, this would kill a human instantly but for whatever reason, Kasimir was different. He twisted the poison that was suppose to ravage his body and turned it to power.

"His form twisted into a savage beauty and afterwards, his heart was no longer tarnished with heartache. Kasimir had dipped into a pool of strength that had never been touched by men and he went on a rampage. Scorching Gaia without reserve, he slayed armies alone and made it clear that he was bent on dominating any in his path.

"Calazar was careful about sending another Divine his way, not knowing the possible outcome. But Kasimir saw things differently; he had obtained a knowledge and power that rivaled the Divine and he felt he had the right to challenge them. He was a cunning man, a traitor that couldn't be ignored, for he used this to his advantage to tilt the odds in his favor.

"Gathering his kindred kind, Golnaz and Achelous; Kasimir set forth to ruin the world, indulging in his gifts and building his forces. These three beings, who had all partook in ingesting the flesh of a Divine had obtain powers far beyond that of a demon or the latter. They controlled the powerful demons that rummaged for a place on Gaia, they took over provinces until they had dominion over all. And even then they still slaughtered without regard.

"Pure carnage manifested, is what Calazar called them. Soon afterwards, the order was given to exterminate them. The General Six: the most powerful of the Divine raised up to combat them and in the end, they all fell and died..." A lone tear fell from his left eye, dropping to the floor and shattering into particles of light. "However, Calazar, had left us hope. He shot from his tails four children from whom a beacon would shine one day. Four children whose very existence would alter the history of Gaia."

Zosimus raised his hand smoothly and wiped the trail that still lingered on his cheek. The flame died down to a dull torch, a minuscule fragment of its roaring mountain. Afterwards he walked through the path of the crowd, going into hiding once again, until the story would need to be repeated to the next generation.

YOU & THE WORLD

OEuTNKR.jpg

"This is a world that was left barren and void. This is not the Gaia that we once knew"
YOU
Two centuries have passed since Zosimus uttered his prophecy. You are a hand; chosen by the late god Calazar to sway the path of Gaia. You are either one of his children or a human born as an ally to them. Regardless of your birth, you are destined for a long and arduous future, far beyond what you were led to believe.

For the Disciples, you have been marked by a celestial and unique sign on the nape of your neck, symbolizing your role in fate's plan. You have been sought out by a member of the remaining Divine and blessed with inhuman resilience, though you are by no means immortal, you do however live much longer than most humans. Catching whizzing arrows is easy for you but fighting a horde of demons will be a challenge. When the time comes for the Cherubs to awaken, a warmth will engross the nape of your neck and a shiver will crawl down your spine. For a moment, you will feel what your Cherub is thinking and then a snaking image will disclose his/her location to you. Find them and be resolute to protect that being with your life...or not; the choice is yours. You are not required to be a fighter. However, a longing in your gut will constantly prod at you because of it.

As for Cherubs, you are magnificently beautiful beings blessed with innate charisma and the strength to combat hordes of demons. Although what you do with that is completely up to you. In this world, discovering your true path and strengths will be your journey and to make sure that you never sway towards the way of Kasimir and his followers, you have been both bless and cursed to have a disciple. This person will beckon for you and though you have the freedom to decline them, a longing in your gut will constantly prod at you because of it. When you are birthed from Gaia's canal, you will be naked, and knowing of the world's current condition.

THE WORLD

Gaia is a spherical world -roughly the same size as earth- that is the host for Humans, Demons, and Divine alike. It has three continents resting on its bloody-red ocean, all of them in dire conditions. These continents are known as Mikhail, Gavril, and Raphael. As of result of Kasimir, Golnaz, and Achelous' take over; these continents are now under their control.

CHERUB APPLICATION
gzB8u1N.jpg
Name: ???
Gender: Male
Age: Ageless

Essence: His essence has manifest in the form of matter manipulation. He is capable of increasing the length, size, and overall destructiveness of his limbs by projecting his essence over them. The feats that he's capable of includes but are not limited to: being capable of extending his reach, blocking the effects of external sources of essence with lessened consequences (heat, cold, numbness, etc), engorging their size to 20x20 measurements, interacting physically with realistic and magical assaults, and changing their shape (claws, swords, axes, etc). The arms are made of a black gel-like material and light particles dance around them as they pass through matter; giving them a spacial appearance.

Appearance: A mysterious youth who is distinguished by the contrast of his dark complexion and golden locks. He appears to be in his late teens and carries a composed and serious expression on his oval face. The straight line of his nose falls onto his full lips; which rarely parts from one another. His dark eyes clash with the theory that all beings with Divine blood in them have mystical optics. His golden hair frames his face and falls just short of his shoulders.

He has a lean, muscular, and toned physique. He stands at 5'11" with perfect posture and long arms. The muscles in his body are purely lean, appearing to be designed for arduous treks and journeys. When he sprouts his wings at will, one set spreads from his upper back; they have a ten foot wing-span and are chestnut brown in color.

Personality: Initially quiet and withdrawn, its obvious from the expression on his face that he's serious and composed most of the time. While not entirely strict or stern, he prefers order over chaos, or thoughtfulness over recklessness. While sensing the despair inside of Gaia, he grew an innate hatred for the Dominion 3, finding them to be senseless monsters. When it comes to them, he tends to have a one-track mind; aiming to do anything that he can to defeat them. Despite what lies on the surface, inside he is an exceptionally sensitive youth.

Despite his solitary ways, he has a genuine interest in the world around him. Although his curiosity can be hampered by his seclusion, if he happens to find a source of knowledge, his questions may end up becoming annoying. His moral compass is usually pointed in the right direction. With a chivalrous heart, he wouldn't dare allow someone to lay a hand on the defenseless; and while it isn't traditionally so, he grows fond of people rather easily.

History: The sound of a musical throbbing, both ancient and stalwart, was the first thing that he heard. He rested inside of Gaia, his thoughts were sentient while his body was in stasis; being nourished by Gaia's essence and slowly developing. Over the course of half a century he could remember the horrendous massacres that incurred on the surface. Before long, Humanity's experience had become like reoccurring nightmares for him. He wept without shame in his mind until the pain had become a fuel for rage and anger.

Although he had no recollection of time, he could tell that the slaughtering had slowed down. That humanity had adapted to the nightmare; that they had tightly held on to hope. Their rebellion against their suppressors had acquired his respect and it was then that he swore to protect them no matter the cost. While his body grew in the belly of Gaia, he kept track of humanity's survival, always rooting for them when up against adversaries and weeping when slaughtered by demons.

A very, very, long time passed by but eventually he begin to feel everything more intensely. While adapting to this new phenomenon, he grew accustomed to checking on a particular family. He found one their children to be especially interesting, almost compelling. When the throbs of that familiar and soothing heartbeat had hastened and became urgent, he found himself on pins and needles; ready to set the world right.

Name: Armani Justice
Gender: Male
Age: Ageless

Essence: Merasma, the Art of Illusions.
Merasma is an art used to disorientate the opponent using illusions which can range from Phantasms to Distortion to pain spikes which induces nerves. Merasma is used to shatter the opponents reality; the above is diffiult to do however Merasmas can manipulate what another person is seeing, making it look like the sky is cracking and everythings falling apart or the floor open before their feet and opening a massive abyss. Merasma is based around the users willpower and the enemies lackthereof. Merasmas effects can be heightened according to the intensity of the users emotions. Using Merasma, however, has unwanted side-effects. These effects can prove perilous to the caster should the caster use very strong illusions for a long period of time. The longer and the more it is used in quantity, will cause the caster to have a random limb go dysfunctionate and will not respond which can be detremental. The stronger the opponent the more power it sucks out of the caster, leaving the caster weak.

Appearance: Armani is straight out of a fantasy book. Handsome in every repect, displaying a debonair amount of intelligence, and someone who looks like he is in his forever twenties.. Armani has sleek, wavy, black hair which goes down to his neck and deep intelligent blue eyes ,with a ring of gold around his iris, which anyone could gaze into and get lost in. Armani has a lean and fit build, composed mainly of muscle. His wings have a hint of blue at the tips of his plummage.

Armani, young and lean. Someone many would underestimate, and regret it momentarily. Encompassing Armani's wrists poseess black vein like structures encompassing it which are presumed to heighten his Merasma Power. He looks like somone from european origins, with fair skin. His leg muscles are slightly stronger tan his bicepular muscles. His thin physique along with his well tempered muscles combined with his facial beauty makes for a very handsome young man to be jealous of.

Personality: Armani is a wise, intelligent cherub which one could talk to for hours. He is stern and serious most of the times, and a lot of people tag him as boring. Despite his calm, monotone personality, Armani harbors a hatred for any demon. He will go out of his way to slaughter. When killing demons, Armani is no longer the intelligent person he was using his essence to aimless slaughter. Armani has a feeling to protect humanity, the reason being is he has shared their longing for freedom in his creation cycle for years, and his hatred for demons.

Armani also has a longing for knowledge and wants to learn many things about the world he was born into. Armani takes intrest in humans very much, and wants to educate himself about them. He harbors many curiosities for Gaia, and wants to learn how humans have lived so long through the oppression of demons and the Dominion 3.

Armani is, when put into a group of others, quiet and reserved. He does not talk about his opinions much, and knows to stay in the background rather than the foreground. Armani doesn't like to be the center of attention, and finds such situations disturbing. Armani's priorities are in the right place and he will not fall for corruption or temptation. His morality is set on the right track. Armani, despite being reserved, is quite a cheery person and grows to like people easily. He has developed a hardened shell after feeling so many different feelings inside of Gaia.

One thing many people don't know about Justice is that he despises cowardice. He despises humans acting upon cowardice and conceding to the demons will. He wished vengance upon the demons, but he also wished that they could fend for themselves. He's spent time in Gaia, noticing and watching the pusillanimity the humans were displaying to even the weakest of demons.

History:

Knowledge is Power.

He walked. Endlessly. He walked for as long as he could remember, there was nothing else except walking. He felt the need to walk and to never stop, stopping would let the people down. He didn't know the people, he just knew what they felt. It was rage. When he first started walking, he felt blood-spill and slaughter. After a certain amount of time, the slaughter stopped. The panic turned into fear and then into rage, rage that they have been opressed and turned into cattle.

He grew to harbor a feeling of owing the people above. He felt like this was his fault in some way or another. He wanted all the anger to stop, and he wanted to make everyone happy. The people above, it wasn't just what had been done to them. On that moment, Armani decided his second name. He would be the harbinger of the demons. He would be the Justice.

He grew to respect those who could muster the strength to fight back. The ones who could survive and live under the supression of the demonlings, and he grew to despise the people who kneeled down on their feet immediately. He would not let a demon kill cowards, no matter how much he hated displays of cold-feet. Fight for the weak, fight against the strong.

CHERUB APPLICATION
Name: ???
Gender: Female
Age: Ageless (appears to be early 20s or so)

Essence: She can manipulate the will of her enemies. Causing fear and distrust among the enemy ranks, she uses her powers to manipulate them into fighting each other. Digging metaphorical claws into their minds, she ravages them mentally and bend them to her will. This can range from causing allies to attack each other, to making others more perceptive of her suggestions, or anything in between. The more powerful the target is, or the more strong their will is the harder it is to do. The base of her power works off the emotions of her enemies. If they fear or distrust one another, it's all the easier to expand on that and make them turn on one another. Another notable thing she does is "charm" her enemies into either moving to attack her, or standing still in awe of her beauty. As her essence spreads across the battlefield, its power diminishes making her ability work better the closer the target is--ultimately physical contact is the best avenue through which she can channel her power.

Appearance: An intricate beauty, her pale skin complements her silvery hair; it hangs just above her shoulders while bangs rest above her eyes. Despite her divinity, there is something unnervingly sinister about the gaze of her endless maroon eyes. Many are said to have lost themselves--permanently--when they meet her stone cold stare. A pair of luscious lips hide small, pointy teeth; they rest just below her small, and ever so slightly upturned nose. Although covered by her hair, a set of small , detached ears complete the petite figure that is cut by her face.

While she first appears rather delicate in her frame, upon closer inspection one would notice she is actually rather quite muscular. Through much training and natural grace, she possesses a rather lithe body, perfectly suited towards her agile movements. Her limbs are of seemingly perfect size to the height of 5'8" that she cuts, neither too long or too short, just the perfect length. A pair of legs are noticeably more developed than are her arms, a sign of her acrobatic nature which hinges much of her movement on the strength of her legs to push around her 135 pound frame. Small hands and feet are found at the end of these limbs, with perfectly kempt nails contributing to her natural beauty. The wings that she can sprout take a color similar to that of eyes, a deep maroon, but they are noticeably more vivid.

Personality: She is of a rather serious nature, and spends no time dawdling around or shirking off. There is no better time to do something than the present, and of this, she is steadfastly devoted to her purpose, giving it every ounce of her strength that she can muster. Born with a contempt for the weak and lazy, she holds nothing back and seems to take personal offense to those who act in this nature. Extremely self-righteous, she believes that she alone is the only cherub necessary to end the chaos caused by the Dominion Three and forsakes any who try and stand in her way, even if what they are saying or doing is actually sound and logical.

While she happens to be intelligent and cunning, she is also hot-headed and rash--believing the best solution to any problem is the resolute action of her blade. With a "kill first and ask questions later" type of attitude, she imposes fear among her enemies and even more so among her comrades. While she appears difficult to approach, those who have confidence in themselves and their ideas find the most success. She believes she knows best, but part of that belief is also being open-minded to what others have to suggest, if only to appease them in an attempt to coerce them to go along with her ideas. Treating everyone with a strong degree of fairness, she only gives them one chance and her attitude makes it difficult to know if you've blown it or not. She has no patience for fools.

History: "Please, not me! Don't kill me! I concede." "Stop! I give up.... Just, leave me alone." "Why even try to fight them? They are much too powerful." The cries of the weak dominated much of her early consciousness. They defeated themselves before they even gave the enemy a chance to. And for this attitude, she grew a strong and deep loathing. Perhaps if they had only tried a little harder, fought with a little more heart, or displayed more bravery they might just have been able to carve out more favorable conditions for them. A futile fight is one where you have no hope to win.

While she observed the massacres and the power of those who tore humanity apart, she noticed more strongly those who had the greater ability or resources to calm the suffering brought about by such strife do nothing. They stood idly by, simply allowing the world to fall into chaos and ruin. While it certainly would not have been easy, that is no reason to give up. Much of it, too, was brought on by a lack of discipline. Nobody was prepared for such devastation, and that was ultimately what lead to their undoing, a fate she promises to never succumb to. Hope for the best, but always expect the worst.

Disgust quickly swept over her with the fragility of mortals--both their body and spirit. Her mind became hardened and her self-discipline began to rise to unprecedented levels. In order to prepare for the battle to become, she began to focus on the enemy, taking note of the myriad of creatures that comprised the devilish horde. The constant negativity they displayed warped her mind a little, making her sinister and developing a hatred towards all that she considered evil--including the indolence of incompetence of those who aren't outright doing terrible things. She watched carefully as they tormented mortals, and watched even more closely their lack of a spine.

DISCIPLE APPLICATION

Name: Thaig Wander
Gender: Male
Age: 28

Cherub: Up to fate...

Appearance: A solid and sturdy man, with bronze skin and dark brown hair. His face is dominated by a large, hawkish nose, his piercing blue eyes obscured under his heavy brow. A full beard graces his chin, kept trimmed and as neat as possible. His wide frame and muscular build make his strength obvious, though his muscle is primarily in his upper body, with his large arms and giant hands. Although this may be an illusion, as most of his 6' 3" is in his long, strong legs. In spite of his toughness, both natural and Divine-granted, his body is covered in scars and scratches, especially his arms and hands.

Personality: Although most would look at him and see a man with the strength and intelligence of an ox, Thaig is a curious and thinking man. He has learned over a great deal of time that the world is not as simple as you might expect. On his own, he is quiet, always looking for new things to see or do, or looking out for things that may wish him harm. Around others, he tends to be more open and friendly, willing to talk and laugh and very willing to listen and learn. Having spent much of his life alone, he values company and seeks friendship.

Having grown up knowing his purpose was to protect a Cherub, he takes a protective and subservient role in the world. More of a follower than a leader, he prefers to let others make decisions, though he will voice his opinion and speak up if he opposes. He will always put others' needs above his own, and has learned to find joy in the simple things in life. He is an optimist who genuinely believes he will help bring about a better world, and tries to keep a good attitude no matter what happens. But if someone or something he cares for is harmed, his anger can get the better of him.

History: In Mount Cassiel he was born and raised, in the tunnels was where he spent most of his days. Unfortunately, his mother died during childbirth, leaving his father to raise him. His father tried to bring him up as best he could, training him to be a strong worker. Thaig had a natural curiosity that led him to explore the mountain. Although it was sometimes dangerous, he was never seriously hurt, and he was able to learn much about survival. Due to the loss of his mother, many other villagers took pity on him and his father, and helped raise him. He learned a lot from them, and the elder once told him he could have any job with what he knew. When he was older, the Divine came and told him of his destiny. Along with his new toughness, he was taken away from his village so his training could commence. The Divine believed more strongly than some that a Disciple should protect their Cherub. He was allowed to return and visit his father, but he knew his destiny would one day take him away from his home.

Despite this, Thaig did not spend the rest of his days with the Divine. Eventually, he set out on his own, making a living in the cold lands surrounding Mount Cassiel. It was here that he found a livable structure, and began learning what he could about the Demons. He was able to put the skills he had learned to practical use, living off the land, hunting for food, and how to defend against Demons. His senses were sharpened by his time out here, like an animal learning to detect both predator and prey. For all his strength, he had never actually been in a fight before, but he quickly learned how to use his weapon and his environment to his advantage. And though he was a capable fighter, perhaps the most important lesson he learned was when he couldn't win a fight, and how to escape and evade his enemies. He lived alone, waiting for the day his destiny would call for him.

Weapon:  A large, two-handed sledgehammer, although any blunt object will do in a pinch.

Holy crap, I want in! Reserve me as a Disciple!

Name: Doran Annwn
Gender: Male
Age: 25

Cherub: Up To Fate

Appearance:
Spoiler:

"I got this one when I hunted a group of Oni."

Doran is a physically imposing man, standing at about 6'7 and weighing in around 300 pounds, the majority of it muscle. It is evident that he spent a lot of time putting his body through large amounts of rigorous training, from hunting down individual demons to chopping trees. Before his transcendence, if you will, he was strong. After, however, he turned into a titan of a man. His long, black shaggy hair falls around is waist his places, his shoulders in others. It appears to be greasy, but upon touching it one would find that he takes very good care of it. It frames his thin, sullen face quite well, and stands apart from his shockingly pale skin. His broad nose is one of the more prominent features of his face, and would be far more noticeable if not for his eyes. His eyes are a dark color, almost black. One would think that they were indeed black if they glanced. Doran's body is marked with scars all across, each one bearing testimony to a story.

As for clothing, Doran chooses to wear very little. Cold doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest. His normal apparel consists of a leather loincloth sort of thing. He has variations including leather pants and a leather kilt. His upper body is typically bare, with the exception of the leather bracers along his arms and the tattoo on his bicep. The tattoo is also the Divine symbol on his neck.

Personality:
"Isn't this flower pretty? I think it's worthy of a song...Can anyone write music?"

Doran's physical appearance is extremely intimidating, but for those who aren't Demons, one could never find a better protector or friend. Doran is fiercely loyal to the Cherubs. He truly believes that fighting is the only way Humanity might find peace, much to his discontent, and that the Cherubs are Humanity's last hope, and that he must die, if necessary. Doran, although unwaveringly brave, would much rather have the world at peace. His heart bares no ill-will to anyone, not even the Dominion 3. He knows that deep down, they never meant to go down the path they did. His heart is heavy with the burdens of the world on his shoulders. Deep down, he knows that one day everything will change. That Humanity can one day walk again. That one day people will realize that they don't have to fight anymore. Doran will never complain, never argue. He will simply carry out his task in an odd fatalistic sort of way. Perhaps one day, however, he will feel that his burden has been lifted, and he can live a normal life, where he is free to complain as much as he wants. One day....

Doran is quiet. Almost silent, in fact. Doran is a man of basic intelligence, but he has the most interesting views of the world. He loves to look at wildlife, listen to music, and even sing, considering his deep, but soft, voice. Doran talks to discuss the beauty of a flower, to voice his opinion in a conversation, or to give a simple, "Pick yourself up," speech. It becomes a habit after years of wandering with little-to-no contact with human beings to take advantage of company. He one of the kindest people one could meet. Doran loved his late family dearly, and was absolutely devastated upon their loss, but if anything, their deaths gave him a reason to fight on. There is a small bit of joy left in his heart, after a worlds of heartache, that blossoms throughout his entire body should he see a child smile or a grown man weep in joy, if only for a few moments in time. Doran is undoubtedly a optimist. Paired with a stubborn will, his desire to do good in the world is almost unstoppable.

History: Doran was born in the northern-most settlement Mount Cassiel: A cold, barren, and grim place. His parents gave birth to him outside of the colony, which many believe gave him semi-monstrous appearance. They were both Hunters, each one of them strong and skilled. They wandered all over the continent with fellow Hunters, their child close behind in. They believed that he would only grow through travel and experience, and what better way to learn how to kill a demon than to kill a demon? He grew up without very many friends. It was normally just himself and his parents, and the occasional Hunting group. They would visit the Hunter's main base every now and again, but still, it was a lonely life. His training was intense and rigorous, and there was scarcely a day he wouldn't fear for his life. Still, he appreciated his lifestyle. Doran's parents taught him the path of mercy and taught him how to fight like a champion. He was hunting with the best of the Hunters by the tender age of sixteen, and he loved it.

When he turned eighteen, he was given his buster blade, the six foot sword he wields to date. Along with the gift he received news that he was to become a Disciple. Excited with his new goal in life, Doran made his parents take him out to slay a particularly dangerous demon that had been plaguing the area. Upon hunting the demon down, they leaped into action. His parents died in the ensuing battle, and the only reason that Doran had survived was his newly acquired abilities. He slew the beast with righteous anger. Afterwards, he carried his parents' bodies back to the main Hunter base and made sure they had a proper funeral. Several years have past since then, and he has been wandering the wastes of Mikhail for the last seven years by himself. Doran returns to the Hunter base very occasionally, but he wouldn't abandon humanity.

Weapon: A massive Buster Blade like sword, six feet in length and a foot in width. The normal human is unable to wield such a blade, but Doran wields it with the strength of a Disciple. Considering his super-human physical strength, he is a master of close combat.

I feel like I'm being invisible in my own thread lol. So I decided to post a bit of my feelings. The SU's are looking great guys, I like the diversity that we're getting in characters and such. I'm really hoping for a few females, so if you guys know any skilled RPers thats looking telling him about us.

I'm excited to get this started and I'm hoping that you are too. Now I have a few questions for those that are interested in a little questionnaire. How do you all predict this going, like the beginning of the story?

And who do you think FATE will pair you up with, Disciples? Is there one in particular you wanted? I know that if I was one, I wouldn't mind having the white-haired missus.

And for the Cherubs, do you have a good idea of how you'll interact with your Disciples. Personally, I'm unsure yet.

And no worries, it won't change my initial plot, I'm just curious to see what you all say :)

I will answer the questionnaire even though the more SUs that are happening, the slimmer my chances of acceptance are.

I assume the beginning of the story will be a bit slow due to the fact that the cherubs need to meet their disciples and there doesn't seem to be a world changing danger which might need us all to group up as what I mean by slow.

I am slightly clueless as how to interact with my said disciple due to the fact that I dont know who it is, and thinking about interactions for 3 different disciples would be a large consumation of time since they all have different personalities.

I imagine it would start off with the Cherubs meeting their disciples, and then sort of feeling the desire to find each other and form a group. Of course, that'd probably be a bit more difficult than it seems if they have to battle some demons along the way or notice more pressing issues that they can take of such as helping a small group of humans or something akin to that.

As for how I would interact with my disciple, it seems like the two that applied are pretty battle hardened, so my Cherub wouldn't have much of a problem with them. As long as they were willing to do what needed to be done. They both seem interesting, but I think she could do well with Doran, personality dependent. He seems to be someone who would bear his burden without complain, and maybe even a little sense of joy. I think it'd be interesting if she got paired with a disciple who wasn't as devoted to the cause or less privy towards fighting. That would be someone she'd clash with a lot, and it'd just be interesting to see how they are able to influence one another.

EDIT: Oh, and if there seems to be a lack of sign-ups, I could easily double as disciple, as I have a pretty good idea for one.

Honestly, I can't say who fate will pair me with. Perhaps the blond man, since we are so similar. We could talk for hours about the world and anything that passes by. I could probably say the same about Armani, but as soon as Demons showed up, I'd have to do my best to protect him from himself. Probably have to pull him off them, too. As for the white-haired lady, we would probably clash. Her stern, no-nonsense attitude and my curiosity wouldn't get along, but I would dutifully follow her, carry her bag, be a good Disciple.

As for fighting, Doran is undoubtedly better at it. Look at the guy. He's huge. While Thaig can hold his own, he's more of an explorer. But can Doran hunt, skin, and cook a pheasant to golden perfection? I doubt it!

You're all more or less right, the beginning will be just a bit slow but it'll zoom pass before any of you even know it. And that is where the pairs come along, when you all find out who your Disciples is, I'm going to need for you all to get acquainted lol.

I might end up taking you up on that offer if it gets too bad but I have hope that someone else will end up joining eventually. And I could see your Cherub interacting with a wimp of a Disciple. That would be hilarious.

Doran does seem like a scary man, even more frightening than Thaig. I think its the shrouded hair to be honest, him and my Cherub would probably make for a intimidating duo. Let's just hope that Fate is forever in their favor. (Hunger Games - reference ~ yeaaa, I went there.)

Name: Ellia Martanya
Gender: Female
Age: 26
Cherub: Up to Fate

Appearance:

Ellia is a fairly tall woman, standing at appromixately 5'10". She has fairly pale skin, having spent most of her life in one of the colonies located around Mount Cassiel. Once quite soft and smooth, her skin is now somewhat gritty and rough from spending more and more of her time outdoors. She has fairly long, dark brown hair, with two large strands going across either side of her face, with the rest traveling down across her neck onto her back. She has two dark brown eyes, appearing dulled and lackluster from the years of agony they suffered to see. Her standing countenance held a similar expression.

She normally sports a white shirt styled in with the top opened up across the upper parts of her shoulders in a 'v' formation. The shirt is tied together by a large brown buckled belt across her waist, fitting her form fairly well. She also wears a pair of brown trousers, and similar-colored boots on her feet which travel up to her shins.

4758-41245453.png

Personality:

Ellia is most often described as hardheaded, passionate, cold, detached and impulsive. Though often acting aloof and uncaring of mostly everything and everyone around her, she is marked by a severe lack of self-restraint that has often led her into some sort of trouble. Her limited self-restraint and passionate hardheadedness is tied mostly with her deep hatred of demons and Achelous. She constantly now seeks to pursue Achelous and demons across the plains, killing any she sees. When she comes across them, she develops limited self-control which extends to her temper, causing her to lash out and drive herself into a frenzy and enormous levels of violence.

She is a cold and sad individual, having been traumatized to the point where her entire being has revolved around seeking vindication for the egregious amount of death she has witnessed. That involves primarily the killing of Achelous. She has developed into a very callous individual, bearing a virulent hatred for Achelous and the demons, which has become one of, if not the only thing which continues to drive her life forward. Furthermore, she is highly driven to kill them willing to sacrifice anyone, allies and enemies alike, if that is what it takes to achieve her objective. She is furthermore also willing to utilize anything within her power, no matter how twisted or evil it is considered, if it will help her complete her objective. Her life has become a vessel for vengeance and hatred, sparing no time or luxury on other pursuits, and tossing aside any other identities she would have otherwise carried.

Ellia is a very hard person to get along with. When she is not completely ignoring others, dismissing their existence altogether, she is usually found paying the most minimal attention to them. Small talk or personal questions no longer hold her interest to the point where she has gained a great disdain for them. She despises working with others, viewing them as burdens that would only slow her down, unless they prove to be able to function in such a way as to beneficial for her cause. Even then, she would only maintain the minimal contact necessary with another so long as she viewed them as useful. She would most likely never get personal with anyone, as her wretched misery has perhaps long made her forget how to do so.

History:

Born in one of the colonies of Mount Cassiel, Ellia was told at an early age that she would grow up to become the Disciple of a Cherub. From that moment on, she was trained to one day become the guide for her Cherub. Ellia found the prospect quite thrilling, as she barely understood the enormous weight that would be thrust upon her shoulders. However, as time went on and the training she received became more vigorous, it became more clear to her that the expectations for her were immensely high. She had developed into a fairly proficient swordsman at an early age, learning about different methods of defenses and attacks and how best to incapacitate whichever foe.

Because of her status, Ellia's mother Emma and father Eyrk and older brother Jhan were fairly overprotective of her. She would never be allowed to venture outside of the colony. As a young girl, she had a deep curiosity for what lay beyond the world she knew. She was constantly told of the dangerous demons which roamed the land, including that of Achelous, but she had never seen him or others herself personally for the longest time. In her foolish youthful exuberance, Ellia decided one day to venture outward to see the world. She ventured around the mountainside the very first time she snuck out at night. It was a thrilling experience for her, but she loved it entirely. She had never felt more alive than in those moments of thrilling adventure-seeking.

Ellia would continue to sneak out for long periods of time, but was eventually discovered by her family. At first, they were extremely displeased with her behavior, lecturing her on the importance of her future assignment, and for that reason they couldn't allow her to venture outwards. They explained that even with the power and skill she held inside of her, she ought to be careful. Ellia protested harshly. This mostly fell on deaf ears, until her constant nagging had finally convinced her family to allow her small ventures outside, since it may prove to be useful training for her. However, the condition was that she would be accompanied by her family at all times.

The ventures began to be a usual thing for Ellia, who ventured out further every time. She ran into many different demons, which she began to use as practice under the supervision of her family. However, the more she ventured outwards past the secluded, safer areas of the mountain, she discovered the horrors that lay outside. Death was not an uncommon sight for the young woman to see, and as much as her family wished her not to see such things, she insisted that she needed to be aware of the dangers of the world. In order to combat such evil, she felt she had to understand it. In that way, she could help guide a Cherub to their quest more effectively.

On a particular venture that began as any other, Ellia and her family found herself in a dominion they should not have. Perhaps it was the blizzard that threw off their path home. Perhaps it was the thunderstorms. For whatever reason, they ventured too close to the domain of Achelous, and came upon the large giant himself. Understanding the predicament they were in, Ellia's parents ordered her to be taken away from there by her older brother, while they would act as distractions for Achelous and the many demons around. Ellia pleaded for her parents to come with her, but they knew that Achelous would consume them all if they didn't stay behind. Ellia was tearfully taken away from the mountain as she watched her parents breathe for the last time. Jhan tried to desperately lead them away from the swarm of evil around, but they were soon intercepted by a horde of demons. Jhan commanded Ellia to run while he elected to remain behind and hold them off. Again, Ellia protested, and again, she was forced away. She turned back to see the her brother fighting off the demons as best as he could, before succumbing to a few of them, and eventually being torn apart bit by bit.

She made the long, arduous journey home by herself, running into a few surprises which she was only able to overcome due to her previous training. She eventually reached her colony, but she couldn't call it home, no matter how long she tried to adopt to that place. Life was never the same. Any joy or wonder she had was permanently erased from her. She refused to speak to anyone, and eventually refused to see anyone altogether. She contemplated killing herself, if only to ease the suffering that she experience. The only reason that kept her clung to life was the faces of Achelous and the other demons who slaughtered her entire life. She realized that before she could depart from this world, she had to first ensure that her last bit of business was concluded.

Weapon: A longsword, though much thinner and lighter than normal, allowing for precision and speed while still maintaining relatively long reach and power.

Speaking of Gods

I have an idea of where I'm going with Doran. (His name is Gaellic for Wander or Stranger, and his last name is the name for the Gaul's Heaven.) He's going to be based off of the Celt's a good bit.

And Doran can most certainly NOT cook a pheasant to a golden brown. (He sucks at cooking.)

I never think of basing my characters off of tribes or a specific theme of people for some reason. Though, some of the best characters comes from it.

So, because I can't stop thinking about how awesome this RP is... I started doing things that would help me get into character. And that lead me to looking for a theme song... and I think this one fits my Cherub quite well:

I'm really excited for this too! I did predict that the story would go a bit slower in the beginning, as it does with most RPs.

I don't mind any. I imagine anyone of them being paired up with my character would be kinda tough for them, seeing as my character is pretty hard to get along with ;)

Nice theme, every once in awhile I'll be making a character that I know's gonna be badass; and that theme always pops into my head. Its very representative of what your Cherub believes.

Haha, I don't think so. Ellia may be a bit stubborn but its those types of people that usually make friends the easiest. Considering how blunt and open they are, people don't have to worry about if they're scamming them or not.

I know for a fact that my Cherub will probably understand yours, if only a little.

* Quick Reminder: For anyone new joining or anyone planning on joining; the deadline for applications are Tomorrow. Its short-notice I know but it would be unfair if I bent the rules. Anyway, it looks like everyone will have a spot regardless of the deadline, you may not get the spot that you want, but if you're really interested in it then their will be a Disciple spot that I will allow you to try out for.

Unless two more people just so happen to make Applications after this post (not including, Albby's) than everyone should be guaranteed a spot.

On another note, I want to thank you all for making this experience encouraging for me. We're going to have an epic journey together!
