I think it would be cool, but would kinda change the "gimmick" of eevee. According to its Pokedex entry it mutates when exposed to certain things. Its genetic code causes it to change types and turn into completely different. I just think giving it a normal evolution might defeat the purpose of it being a geneticly abnormal Pokemon. Just my opinion.

I kind of agree with Jellicentfan. I can only think of one situation where it could have to adapt, but stay normal-type while being stronger, and that's living in a tough urban environment. But it might prefer to be fighting type for that.

Eevestron! Gust like Gideon it whould have the same color bot with a red jewel on its forehead and would look a little like persian (the evolved form or meoth) It would have a cream colored boby and a mein with is brown and brown at the tips of its tail and feat. And brown again at the top of its head with the longes hairs light brown.
I hope you like my idea. :)

I'd be ok with the idea, but perhaps a different method of evolution than just leveling up? That could potentially conflict with Espeon/Umbreon.

I would think trade, but that goes against GF always attempting to make new evolutions use new methods that aren't possible in older gens.

despite two the evolutions being introduced in Gen 4, Swinub could learn Ancient Power as an Egg Move since Gen 2, and Lickitung learned Rollout when it was a TM in Gen 2. The latter was the only one changed in Gen 3, but other than that both learned the attack that they evolve by in Gen 4.

Even if they added an evolution with an older item, older Pokemon can't evolve with them outside of the new Generation. It doesn't make sense, but then again, like I just said, two Pokemon could learn attacks they needed to have to evolve in Generation 2 and they couldn't evolve then, why did they magically learn to evolve 2 generations later?

Evolving by Level won't conflict with Espeon/Umbreon either as they are both time and happiness based evolutions. All you have to do is keep Eevee in the center until it reaches x level to evolve. With all the new ways to increase and decrease happiness it isn't that hard.

Since Umbreon and Espeon both evolve when Eevee reaches max happiness, perhaps it'd be interesting to see an evolution that comes from having minimum happiness whilst leveling up? It'd be difficult to obtain unless you got it to something like 1% exp left to level up and fed it tonnes of bitter herbs, but it'd make sense to me as a way to evolve! Probably would result in a Dark or Fighting type though, hmm... As for the question, I'd love to see a Normal type evolution for Eevee, but there's other types (Poison and Ghost!) that I'd love to see it evolve into first. Whilst I think a Normal type evolution for Eevee would be wonderful, I'd like to see it happen a bit further down the line so they can introduce the more interesting possibilities first :3

I don't it would be necessary. It already has a bunch of "evolutions" and it would be kinda silly.

Mmm, but in that theory. Wouldn't it just take some sorta new item to make eevee's genetic code stable, thusly makin' it evolve into what it really should be? Cuz it seems the other evolution come from whatever situation Eevee is in. This is just a theory.

I like this theory, maybe it originally was like every other pokemon, but some super stone broke it's genetic code and made it unstable around the stones, but had it never come in contact with this "super stone" it would evolve into a normal type like it was originally supposed to, sounds like a fanfic xD

  • It'd probably look awesome but I feel that most people use Eevee for the multi-type evolutions, few people use it (that I know of) in its normal form so although I wouldn't mind seeing it, it'd probably be more beneficial maybe to create a new type that hasn't Eeveelutionized yet lol, such as fighting.

  • If Eevee can have evos of all other types, why cant it have a Normal type Eeveelution? If they are going to cover every type with an Eeveelution, Normal would be included as it is a type not currently covered by one.

This a Fakemon from BlazeTBW from deviantART. If Eevee gets a normal type evolution, THIS is what it should look like!!

  • I would initially say no on this, however as a normal type lover I would say yes. Its stats shouldn't be that great so to encourage people to evolve it further.

  • I've always wanted Eevee to receive its own Normal-type evolution. Yes, its PokeDex entries say it adapts to its surroundings, but what about if its surroundings are simply a domestic environment with someone who loves it very much?

Personally, I'd like something along the lines of having Eevee holding an item like "Cherished Bow" that raises Eevee's Attack stat and, once it reaches max happiness and levels up, the item disappears and Eevee evolves into its Normal-type evolution.
