Ultimate Gym Leader Challenge

Andrew evolved! And then I gave that sleepy dude on Rt 31 his bird. And then did a ton of Pokéathlons to get a Moonstone. Which I'm not gonna use yet. I went to Ecruteak, saved a Kimono Girl, got Surf, taught it to Baron. Yay for four moves. And then Mom called. And guess what she frickin' bought with my money? That's right. A Moonstone. Unfrickinbelievable.

Mucked around for a while fully exploring the freedom of choice offered to me by this game. Went all the way to Olivine and whatever before finally going to the Burned Tower and bothering the Legendary Beasts. Then I went and oneshotted every Pokémon in Morty's gym- including his- and went surfing off to Mahogany Town. Explored as much of Mt Mortar as possible and got tons of loot.

Caught the red Gyarados, met Lance, got drafted in to stop Team Rocket. Played around in their base tripping every alarm I could so as to get ALL the experience points. Eventually did what I was supposed to- Lance is a bit of a dick, isn't he? Being oh so nice and healing my 'mon after the first floor. Where my only problem was getting low on PP. And then not healing them before, you know, the more difficult floor(s). Or the major boss battle(s). The hell, dude?

Defeated all of Pryce's minions and decided that I was not going to face the man himself with an underleveled team with no type advantages and in fact some major disadvantages. And Mom kept calling me and Mahogany Town doesn't have a PokéMart. So, backtracked to Ecruteak and out the other side, aiming for Cianwood. Stopped in Olivine and defeated everyone hanging around the lighthouse. Got lost on Rt 41 as usual.

- grinded both pokemon to lvl 14 for Brock
- got my first badge
- went to Cerulean City, beat Gary again and hacked in a Bellsprout because I forgot they only appear in LeafGreen and not in Firered <.<
- trained my team to lvl 21 so Bellsprout evolved and took on Misty
- got to Vermilion City, boarded the ship and got HM01 after I beat Gary (again)
- defeated Lt. Surge thanks to Raticates Dig <3
- back to Cerulean City and through the Rock Tunnel to Lavender Town
- went to Celadon City, defeated Erika and got my fourth badge
- cleared out the Rocket Hideout and got Silph Scope
- back to Lavender Town to get the Pokeflute
- went to Saffron City, destroyed Team Rocket and defeated both Gym Leaders ( Sabrina and fighting guy )
- got to Fuchsia City, spent hours for catching a Scyther, collected the gold teeth and HM03
- beat Koga for my sixth badge
- went to Seafoam Islands for more exp, killed Arcticuno
- went to Cinnabar Island, collected the secret key and solarbeam!
- destroyed the gym with scyther only ( swords dance + wing attack)
- flew back to Viridian City and got my last badge
- went through Victory Road and spent some hours grinding my team to lv 60+ (speed button ftw :>)
- defeated the Elite Four without problems
- almost lost against Gary, his Arcanine is too strong :(
- became the champion of Kanto

Went to Lavender town but before I continued the storyline, I went to get myself a Dratini by the Game Corner
I defeated Erika and stopped Team Rocket at the Game Corner
Went to save the bald man in the Pokemon Tower and got the PokeFlute
With the Pokeflute in hand, I went to Fuschia city to go to the Safari Zone and get myself a Exeggcute
Now I'm leveling up my Exeggcute in the Silph Co. Tower, I'm almost done with the tower now

Wandered though the Ice Path and got ahold of Edmund after KO-ing like four of his sisters because my party's attack power is ridiculous. Got out, went training. Went back in, came out the other side. Went training. Caught Danny the Phanpy but realized that his movepool was really kinda crap and so swapped him for Kieran the Red Gyarados so my team would be a bit better for move diversity and coverage. Trained. A lot. Because Edmund had to catch up to the rest of the party from lv 22 and Kieran from lv 30.

Eventually I gave up on that and went after Clair with severely underleveled mostly ground types. Woohoo. Her gym trainers were all stronger than Edmund and Kieran but they took them out pretty easily. I took on Clair and won with clever use of Dragon Rage and MooMoo Milk. I don't usually use items at all but I didn't want to have to go training again so w/e. And then she refused to give me a badge. Rude. So I went and passed the Elder's test and stuck it to Clair. :3 And then went in and out of the building and fRICKIN CAMERON SHOWED UP hahahaha.

Went to New Bark Town, got told to go see the Kimono Girls in Ecruteak. Trekkin' all over the place for people, aren't I? Ran into Felix. He seemed upset about more than just losing. Went to battle Kimono Girls. Lost three 'mon to that frickin Umbreon, defeated the rest in one or two hits each. Went to catch Ho-oh. Killed Ho-oh. Turned off game and switched to Black.

Mucked about in and around Chargestone for a while and witnessed Plasma shenanigans. Made my way out to Mistralton and met Junipapa who seemed to be having fun with Skyla. Went up and played on Route 7 and wandered between there and Chargestone while training. Suddenly--




Shizu hit level 35, learned X-Scissor, and evolved! Then Fuu hit level 35 and learned Energy Ball so I gave her a Sun Stone and she evolved! Then Poppo hit level 36 and evolved! In less than three minutes, all of my team that would evolve did so. Absolutely fabulous. :D

We battled through the Celestial Tower for no apparent reason at all, then took on Skyla's gym and did pretty well- even Fuu and Yana could take out multiple gym trainers on their own. I did just rely on Shizu to take out Skyla, though. Gosh she's easy. I should have had much more trouble than that. Then we wandered over to Twist Mountain, battled Cheren, found out Alder was spying on us, and received Surf. I then had to catch a Herdier to teach surf to so I could catch a Basculin. The one I got ended up being a female lv 23 red-stripe that I took to train in the Celestial Tower till level 30 before going to take out Audino outside of the mountain. It was surprisingly easy to train Rao up the eighteen levels she needed to catch up to the rest of the team. I think that probably had to do with a strong moveset and decent type matchups. I figured Stunfisk would probably not be quite so easy.

Got talked to by myself Clay and Cheren when I finally went into Twist Mountain. God I love the music in that place. And last time I explored it was winter so wow I was getting lost. I tried my best to skip trainers so I could come back when I had caught Stunfisk in Icirrus and that worked out fairly well. So I made it to Icirrus and wow I forget how much I adore this city oh. Quickly caught a lv 32 Stunfisk- not easy, indeed!- and then flew back down to Mistralton for training before going back into Twist Mountain. Managed to fully explore the place, which was good because the season turnover was about to happen. Wandered around Rt 8 and the Moor before actually going to take on Brycen and his ice minions. Eugh.

Actually, I beat Brycen pretty easily. Fuu took out most of his gym trainers, too! I guess I just keep way overestimating how bad my type disadvantage is going to make things? Anyway. Did Dragonspiral Tower, then rushed off to deal with Plasma at the Desert Resort. Got called to Nacrene to hear some exposition and receive an item for plot reasons. Went back to play in icy!Icirrus, then continued on to Rt 9 and Opelucid City. After exploring it and deciding hell naw I'm not taking on this gym yet, I ended up wandering around on Rt 17 & 18. Once I'm done there I'll go to snowy!Twist Mountain and sort of... piss about until my team get a few more levels on them.
