Infraction system information and questions

Ok,So my question is about the thread revival.

If i say find a 1 year old thread, but the last post on it say is 3 months.
Is that considered Old thread revival and i could get a infraction ?

i got a warning for saying a comment on the fic section, on what I like about someone's fic, and it was called spam, I am sorry if the post was unspecific to what I liked about the fic but I don't really think I deserved the warning...

There are rules in the Fanfiction and Writing section that you must follow. One of them is to post constructive reviews on stories. There's even a guide linked in our "Writing Resources" thread that fully explains what a constructive review is.

Your first post in the thread was deleted for not being a constructive review. After you posted, a member explained in her own post what the type of review we're looking for in F&W is. And yet you still didn't follow the rules and guidelines after they were explained to you, yet the post with the explanation was right above yours.

In F&W, you're expected to point out specifics of what you liked/didn't like in someone's story. Saying something general doesn't fit in with the rules of the section, therefore, an explanation first to help you along, and so on.

I got an infraction about a month ago and it expired about a week ago, but it didn't expire from my profile. When does it expire from the profile?

They stay on your profile, just to tell you that you shouldn't repeat whatever. But only you can see them... Unless Admins can too... But no ordinary member can see them. Just ignore it.

I really think it depends on the scenario. If there's enough proof to support the theory that you were hacked, probably. However, it depends on the proof and the quality of that proof. In an age where IPs are easy to hide behind, you can't just argue that the IP address is different (unless it matches with another member, of course).

I got a warning for a post I made, and in the PM it specifically said that warnings were different to infractions. So howcome on my profile it says I have an infraction?

For the 25 total red card infractions leading to a permanent ban, does that mean 25 active red cards, or do expired ones count towards that total?

Wait so if you spam your banned for 3 months
and if you put on porn you get banned permanentley wow.
Just to be more clear, if you post SPAM once, the moderators might let you go or you might just receive a warning. It is constant spamming that would result in a person being banned for three months. Porn... yeah, you are banned right away.

About the 25 infractions thing, since 20 points is the maximum, does that mean expired too? I'm guessing so.

I've got a question. Do the total red cards have tiered temporary bans too? Like if you get 10 red cards do you get like a month ban?

Or is it just 25 Red Cards for permanent banning, to stop someone from spreading their many minor offenses too thinly?

25 individual infractions total, and you get an automatic permanent ban. No other automatic ban is given based on the amount of infractions you have. Warnings don't count.

The only temporary bans are given from 9, 15, and 18 active points, or a ban issued by the higher staff. I'd imagine if someone managed to get more than 15 individual infractions, they'd just be brought up for permanent ban before they can make it to 25. Nobody should be getting that many infractions, whether they think the staff are a bunch of tyrants or not.

Infractions Question

So,I had a total of 5 infractions that i racked up from july of 2010 to August 2010.There all finally exspired. So does that mean i am on a clean slate. It says 0 points.

Of course. There will be a record of it on your profile (that only you, moderators and higher-up staff can see) just to keep track of you and for your own record.

As long as you don't do anything bad and follow the rules you'll be fine. just don't be stupid enough to do whatever it is you did again
